Zaid hurried to to Xaria's side and tried to help her stand up. "Come on, your alright aren't you?" Zaid whispered. He throat tightened as he heard somthing moving in the trees. Zaid fell on his knees as a bullet hit him in his shoulder. He gasped throwing his hand to cover it.

"I'll be fine..." Xaria gasped before her eyes widened. She glanced around, looking for the shooter. She bent down, picking up the knife that had cut her, wiping the blood on her jeans. She watched carefully, glancing at Zaid every so often. "You'd better be fine too..."

Zaid nodded and said "I am" and crouched low to her ear so nobody would be able to hear. "Do you have your gun?" he whispered in a hurry. He could still hear someone moving around in the trees and brush but, he was pretty sure it was only one person.

Xaria glanced to where her Sai were. "It's up there. With my sai. I'm not tall enough to reach them and I can't exactly climb..." She whispered back, still watching for the shooter. She whirled around, hearing a noise. She cursed, a shooting pain in her thigh, a bullet embedding itself in her flesh.

Zaid nodded with a grim face and sprinted to the tree. He pulled the bag down after he climbed only about a foot off the ground and unzipped it in a hurry. He gasped as he heard another bullet being shot and he braced his self but, it hit Xaria. Zaid gripped the Sai in his hand for a moment before handing it to Xaria. He took out the shot gun and leaned silently against a tree waiting for the person to make a move so he could identify where his location was. Zaid growled as a bullet hit the tree above his head.

Xaria shot him a grateful look, slipping one of her Sai into her belt. She slipped the knife into her pocket, just in case she needed another weapon. A scowl fixed itself upon her face as a man came out of the dense trees. "Look at the little girl... Trying to be brave are we?" He mocked, eyes looking on in amusement. Big mistake. He underestimated Xaria and that was the time she took to leap at him, killing him quickly. After scannig him for weapons, she found he didn't have a gun. The shooter was still out there.

Zaid nodded and turned heading a bit farther into the trees. He knew Xaria could take that guy even with her arm broken. Zaid winced as the bullet in his flesh started to ache. "Just breath" he thought. Zaid took a quick look around and saw nothing. He jogged back to Xaria and quietly asked "He is still out the isn't he?". There was a hint of growl in his voice and as soon as the words left his lips he heard someone come out of the trees. He couldn't see the person's face but, he knew he had seen him somewhere before.

Xaria nodded, watching the figure approach them with a glare on her face. Adrenaline was pumping through her again and she could almost forget the pain. She gripped her Sai, ready for a fight.

As the person came out of the shadows, Zaid gasped quietly. It was the man that Zaid had thought got sent to jail. Zaid fought against this guy in his last mission and almost got killed. He ducked behind a low tree to escape the gaze of the man. The man was circling Xaria. Zaid aimed his gun but let his arms fall as he saw the man was wearing a bullet poof outfit. "Just like they one I have" thought Zaid "Too bad I don't have it now" though, he didn't see a gun in the guy's belt or pockets.

Xaria's eyes hardened as she watched the man circle her, waiting for him to make the first move. Instinct told her to attack first but she refused, waiting to see what he would do. If he would underestimate her like the other men in the gang. Her breathing was ragged and shallow at this point but she didn't care.
