Zachariah rolled his eyes. "Gods, you're oblivious, aren't you? I'll give you a few hints; one, he's an assassin and a thief. Two, he's not human. Three, he's sitting right next to you," he said, then directed his gaze over to the Wood Elf. "Look at how oblivious she is! She probably doesn't even know who I'm talking about," he said, shaking his head with a mock sigh. When would Katarina finally realize that he was more than a smidgen in love with her? At the rate this conversation was going, probably never.

"It was from the Dark Brotherhood." Auguseethus said, seeing no point in playing dumb at the moment, being as he now knew that Za'ji was from the dark brotherhood and she probably knew he knew that now. Perhaps it would be best if August did not sleep in the city tonight. He gingerly plucked the note from the arrow and put it in a pocket.

"Let's head back to the inn." He suggested. "I could use some of that fancy Black Briar mead everyone raves about."

Phydra nodded, mouth muffled with her gloves. "Surely its just her drunken state?"

Za'zah stood up and went to her. "Well, me and my wife must really be going now." Za'zah said with a nervous chuckled. "Come on dear." He said putting a arm around Za'ji.

Katarina looked at him. "You don't love me...... do you?" She said. Up until now she thought he was just joking around with her.

Wife? Za'ji thought indignantly as she allowed herself to be led away. Sure she liked Za'zah, but she wasn't ready to go that far. "Not so fast, Whirlwind Sprint," she said under her breath once they were safely out of earshot.

Auguseethus raised his spiked eyebrows.
"I was not aware you two were married?" He asked, but as August knew they weren't, and Za'zah was being majorly creepy.
Or maybe they were married, and Za'zah was a part of the Dark Brotherhood as well. Divines, this was confusing. Could Auguseethus trust no one? Both of them could easily kill him right now if they wanted to. Auguseethus shifted uneasily.

"Oh yes newly weds." Za'zah said and took her away. "I just saved your life. You should be thanking me." He said. "So your a Dark Brotherhood assassin huh? That lizard figured it out same way I did." He said making sure August wasn't following them.

"Yes! What do you think I've been trying to say all this time? I am hopelessly in love with you, and it is absolutely maddening," Zachariah said, his voice getting lower and lower the more that he spoke, until Katarina was the only one capable of hearing him. His words were very poetic, especially for someone that was currently stuck in a drunken stupor. Who knew he could be poetic?

Auguseethus rubbed his forehead and made his way back to the inn. He ordered another mead and bemusedly watched Zachariah and Katarina and their drunken-whatever-this-was.
