Amber looked at Auberon, her lips quivering lightly. She silently crawled into the bed with him. She liad next to him in a tight little ball. Her body shoke little, "I dont wanna fight anymore, I wanna be happy with you. I wanna get a pretty little house away from all the scary things and be with you forever. Auberon forced back tears of hiw own, his voice shaky with sorrow. "I want that too, Cinderella. I want to go places I've never been. I want to find a quiet place and build a home for you with my own hands. But I can't abandon humanity yet. Not when they still need you and me. But I promise you that someday, we can have that. Everyone can have that." Auberon nodded, confirming his words in his own heart. He couldn't afford to be selfish while others were putting their lives on the line. For now, Auberon settled for holding Amber close, a content smile crossing his feautures. Someday, he thought. Someday.
