[My.Immortal]

Zaid stopped as he remember the poisonous finger nails he had to put on. They could knock somebody out for a few good hours. He reached into his bag and tucked them under his nails. They were designed especially for him and this was his first time using them in a real mission. He had of course used them in practice but he crept around the tall fence around the resort, staying in the shadows.

Zaid stopped as he saw a large gap had been cut open in the steel fence. "That is how they are getting in!" Zaid thought, though, he didn't know who 'they' were. Zaid shook his head and scanned his surroundings. Then, walked back into the civilized area and stood near the back of the building. "If someone were going to do something, the would make their move soon." he thought.

Xaria's captor, unaware that Zaid was near, crept through the back door. Her limp body swayed with every step and he slipped through the gap in the fence, walking into the darkness. He was retiring to camp, where his colleagues would have their way with the girl before killing her.

Zaid stooped dead and moved slowly with his back to the building wall. He heard somebody walking out there. He heard the cling of the person hitting something metal. "The fence!" Zaid thought in alarm. Zaid followed at a safe distance of the person. After a few minutes of following him, Zaid realized the person was carrying something. Or rather someone. Zaid turned around quickly and scanned the trees. He felt he was being watched. He followed the person in time with his own foot steps so they wouldn't her him. It was basic spy training. He soon caught u to him and stopped breathing but kept moving.

Xaria woke up, battered and bruised from the way she had been carried through the trees. She winced, shortly and feeling empty. Her eyes caught a shine from metal and with a grimace, she spotted her sai far out of her reach. Men filed in and blows were dealt to her stomach and head.

One of the men lingered on the edge of the group and Zaid stepped behind him sinking his poisonous nails into his skin. The man fell in a lump but made no sound. Zaid stepped over him confidently and backed into a tree. He circled the grounds again and made another attack on a man. He wasn't suspected yet but, he was still afraid to throw his darts and metal plates. Zaid suddenly noticed that the girl they had was Xaria. "Something must of happened of else she would have these guys gone by now!" Zaid thought. Now, there were only four men left and Zaid decided to use the darts. He pulled them out of the belt on his waist and carefully aimed and threw the dart. The dart had poison in it that would knock anyone out for at least four hours. His dart hit a man in the back that was kicking Xaria and he fell on top of her in a crumpled heap. The remaining men stared in Zaid's direction and whispered to each other. Zaid didn't dare to breath let alone move. If he was the only one on his side, conscious, he would have to take down these men without his gun. He had been stupid enough to leave in in his backpack.

Xaria growled, pushing the man off her. She groaned, pressing a hand to her side, her arm hanging loosely. Her arm was broken. She hissed in pain, knowig she was going to be bruised. A grim smile was placed on her face as she realised it would be difficult to fight in his condition. She stood shakily, picking out her hair decorations and throwing them at two of the men, watching as they fell. She looked at her sai and cursed. She wasn't tall enough to reach them. Turning back, she fought off another large man using just one arm.

Zaid ran up to Xaria and the only man left, unless there was more in the bushes. He quickly scratched him with his nails and the man fell to the ground making a choking sound. Before, Zaid remembered that a few of the men ran for cover but as he scanned the trees around him, he didn't see anything out of the ordinary, but, that is what you have to watch out for.

Xaria was panting in exhaustion, her eyes betraying the pain she refused to show. Her eyes darted around, knowing none of these goons were the boss. He had to be there somewhere. A yelp sounded from her throat as she was grabbed again. A knife was placed at her throat, a thin line of blood forming. She just had to be right. The boss was there. Or at least, she thought so.

"Drop your weapons or else." A deep voice came from slightly above her and Xaria looked at Zaid, trying to tell him not to listen.

Zaid put a hard look on his face and dropped his remaining dart. "Don't worry I've got more weapons" Zaid said with his eyes. He hoped Xaria caught what he was trying to say. Zaid's eyes flickered back and forth like he was trying to plan his next move. But, Zaid already had his next move, first, he had to confuse the man. Ziad made his eyes widen and he staggered back a few steps making it look like there was someone, or something, coming up behind the boss. Sure enough, the man too his eyes of Zaid and Zaid silently took out his metal plates and threw one at the man. The man spun around and fumbled for something before Zaid threw his next plate. This time it hit him square in the stomach. The man few down onto his knees then, Zaid scored his nails across his bare arm.

In all the confusion, the knife the man was holding to Xaria's throat had slipped and cut deep into her cheek, slicing from the corner of her eye to just below her ear. She hissed, knocking the now unconscious man from her. She staggered fromthe force, stumbling slightly. The adrenaline that had kept her from feeling the pain ran out and she let out the smallest of whimpers. Her uninjured arm moving to cover herself up. Her clothes were sightly ripped and bloodstained.
