Personality:: Tristan is a hard worker, and he won't let up on his family. He works out in the fields with his father after school and on weekends, because he is one of the stronger boys. When he isn't tired out, he is much more mature than some would think he would be. He prefers to be with adults than people his own age, since he can relate to their struggles better than those of many 17 year olds. He is not really looking for a relationship ever, because he doesn't want to have children who would have to be in the reapings, though there was no guarantee they would be picked.
History:: Tristan grew up in a large family of boys. His parents had four boys before they had the girl they really wanted. But they liked having boys in the family too, they could work harder. And Tristan was always working harder. He really cared about his younger sister, and wanted her to never have to feel the exhaustion that working in the fields brought. Tristan has a wonderful singing voice that he only uses around his family, because he doesn't want to draw attention to himself. He was devasated when his sister was picked for tribute, especially since he knew there was nobody to save her.
Family::Jennifer Finnin is Tristan's mother. She is a great cook, even though they have only a meager supply of food.
Crag Finnin is Tristan's father, a strong man who works in the fields for his family, and is rarely home.

Personality:: Braire is a joyful man, who loves all of his family especially his wife. He was only married last year, but so far he is absolutely overjoyed that he did marry Valerie. He loves to work in the bakery, especially since it means he doesn't have to work in the fields. He is very good at frosting cakes, and loves to try to bake different kinds of bread than what most people in district 11 eat. He says it draws in more customers, but really he just likes having fun.
History:: Braire had a relatively normal childhood in District 11. His grades were average, usually crap and Cs, and he was never fantastic at anything that required coorination or physical strength, both things he lacked. He was a very skinny teenager, and though he has gained weight lately, he is still rather thin. He is old enough to remember his grandparents, who always said he would be the one to run the bakery when they died. They both died (the ones on his father's side died long before he was born), between the time when he was 8 and his 10th birthday. He was very sad about it, but they had lived relatively long lives compared to all of his friends, so he didn't morn for too long. Last year he was married to Valerie Benton, now Valerie Finnin.

Personality:: Valerie is a very motherly woman, she has always been good with kids, especially since she was always helping out with her younger siblings. She loves children, and has been trying to have some of her own, however unsuccessful she has been so far. Valerie loves Tristan greatly, and would never dream of being with anyone else. She loves to bake as well, and has become very good at emulating the styles of bread from other districts, making tasty treats for local families around the holidays. She is very charitable, and always shares scraps with the poorer people who come by.
History:: Valerie had a lot of pressure put on her as a child, mostly because she was the eldest child of her family. She had four younger sisters, and two younger brothers, and on top of it all, her parents weren't particularly productive in the community. She had to sign up for tessarae as soon as she turned 12, her name went in 8 times on the first year. But she only had to sign up for 6 tessarae the next year, since her closest brother took a few on. She gradually had slightly fewer new tessarae slips in, but there were still quite a few there with her name on them. It's surprising nobody in her family was chosen actually, though her youngest four siblings still have a chance. She always loved it though, surprisingly the pressure actually made her work harder and better.
Family:: Jarvis Vesnon was Valerie's father, he was a raging drunk and it is believed that he wasn't actually the father of his youngest three children.
Cinda Vesnon was Valerie's mother, a strict woman who often drank in the evenings and made money to feed her children in any way she could. This led to three extra children she wasn't planning on having. Thank goodness Jarvis was too drunk to tell they weren't his.
Ortican Vesnon was Valerie's closest brother, now only 19. He too helped care for the younger children.
Rizzak Vesnon was Valerie's other brother, and he is now 14 years old. He was the least helpful of all, mostly just a rebellious little troublemaker.
Qerti Vesnon is Valerie's second closest sister by age, and at age 16, she is taking on a lot at home. She often spends extended visits with the Finnins.
Kalysta Vesnon is 17, and despite her age, she can often be found drinking with her parents. Valerie is always trying to get her to stop.
Malarie Vesnon is 13. This quiet girl has always feared both of her parents, so she lives with her older half-sister's family in law as well.
Amanda Vesnon is the youngest of the Vesnon children so far. She is very self sufficient and fears nobody. She is 12 years old, and has taken on three of the seven tessarae that their family at home needs to survive (since Valerie has moved out only seven are needed).

Personality:: Susan is a kind woman, but she is also very brave in her own way. She took all of their family's tessarae, since she was the oldest, but passed them on to her siblings when she could no longer take them herself. She is extremely loyal to her family, both her blood family and her in-laws. That is why she returns to the orchards to help every day. She knows her two siblings and her parents won't be able to do the work they need to alone, since their burden hasn't been lowered since she married away.
History:: She grew up in a good family, even though they were very poor. She actually learned to climb trees before she learned to walk, Since her parents couldn't leave her at home all alone as a toddler. When she was old enough to go to school she did so, glad for the chance to be out of the fields for a part of her day. She grew up a very strong person, since she was always swinging through the trees as a child. She was born as Susan Bauer. She married Andrew three years ago, and is about eight and a half months pregnant. She hopes her first child will be a boy.
Family:: Crissa Bauer is Susan's mother. She is definetly not where Susan got her looks from, though Crissa is quite beautiful as well.
Jonah Bauer is Susan's father, a kind and hard working man. He can't wait to see his new grandchild when it is born.

Personality:: Andrew is very energetic and positive. He always has a kind word to say, and loves to joke around with his family and his friends. He has been known to be a good singer, but he only sings on holidays or special occasions. He cares a lot about his family, and was crushed when Cassalia was chosen for the games. He might not have been so upset if it had been one of his brothers, who were strong and had a chance in his eyes, but Cassalia was weak and innocent in his eyes, He is pretty sure she won't win, not that he would be against it if she did.
History:: He has worked in the fields full time since he was 18 and out of school. He worked in the fields part time before that, since he was 13. Because of his years of hard work, he is very mucsular. Unlike many other field workers who have similarly long experiences with work, he actually sort of likes it. It isn't his favorite by any means, and it keeps him away from his wife, another point of it he doesn't enjoy, but it allows him a sense of belonging which has always been important to him. He doesn't like feeling out of place.
