Hunter Mayhem | Ares | Tagging: Cresolis | Location: Dining Pavilion
Hunter nodded approvingly. Another warfaring type. "Soooo then." He grinned. "Your mum's the goddess of wisdom and war. You the fighting type?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. She’d seemed a little confrontational at first, which was both frustrating and intriguing, he had decided.

Hunter Mayhem | Ares | Tagging: Cresolis | Location: Dining Pavilion
Hunter's brow furrowed. "How can you not know?" He asked. Usually someone knew whether or not they enjoyed a good fight here and there. He himself had proven from an early age that he was built physically and emotionally alike to be a fighter. Of course, being a child of Ares more than likely lended to that.

"Yeah." Niji said shyly.
"There are blankets in the Apollo cabin and my cabin has some extra ones on the beds that aren't beind used. Clean sttaw are in the stables, there are some shavings used for bedding in there too. Tires are in the Hephaestus cabin and I could always get that stuff for you since, no offense, but you don't look very comfortable with the idea of going there.
Sa'd "Lucky Charm" Salam•17•trans male (ftm)•Bi••they/them•Host of Set•Location: The Dining pavilion •Tags:Open! Ash, those at Sa'd's prank, Zahra
Sa'd blushed.
"N-not really. I heard from this cabin that you do pranks here on the first day, so Set and I set up a couple pranks since we were late arrivals. Set was the one that let him in here, but I don't think he likes strangers."
Sa'd's eyebrows knit in confusion.
"You have Gryphons? D-do they not look like these?" Sa'd asked motioning towards the creature.
"Set is not a stupid name. Set is one of power and greatness. Did he do stupid things erailer in his life? Yea absolutely. But he is not stupid. He is a being of power and chaos." Sa'd snarled out at the girl.
"Sa'd it's alright. It means something else in English. Of all the things I could have forgotten it had to be what the word 'set' meant." Set chuckled and shook his head lightly.
"Please forgive them. I've been teaching them English as it isn't their first language, but due to certain... circumstances I haven't found the time recently, so words have slipped their mind. I follow them around because I am tied to them, but I'll have Sa'd explain it, what form would make me less creepy to you?" Set asked curiosity sparking in his eyes.
Sa'd huffed and turned a cold look to the girl.
"He follows me around because we are tied, bound, whatever you call it. We-we." Sa'd face crumpled in frustration trying to find a word in English that filled the void.
"We are the same." Set offered gently.
Sa'd nodded.
"Yes. We are the same, but no at same time. If that makes sense. Allah blessed Set into my life to... protect. I protect Set with my life because we are same." Sa'd explained poorly looking into her eyes for any sign that she understood.
"I'll take over Sa'd." Set whispered not wanting the boy to be upset any longer.
"Sa'd is a magician, which is like a demigod, but instead of the gods being their parents we are born with our magic just for being. Some magicians like Sa'd are bound to a certain god or goddess. It's consensual, of course, but it is not required to be a magician. I follow them around because I want to protect them and because Sa'd isn't comfortable around people due to past experiences with them, so I act as a support animal in a sense. I would be bound to Sa'd's physical form if they wanted me to be, but it is easier to calm someone down when you are physical, so here I am. I can change my apperances to take any form I want, but I will always look a little horrific due to being the God of Chaos and destruction of course. But I wish no harm to camp or anyone here, so I have to purpose here other then to comfort dear Sa'd." Set explained giving a heartfelt look to Sa'd.

──── Aiden Seaver
【✦】| Athena Head Counselor | 15 | Male | ➡ Dining Pavilion | Tags: Quest Meeting Group
❝𝚐𝚒𝚟𝚎, 𝚋𝚞𝚝 𝚐𝚒𝚟𝚎 𝚞𝚗𝚝𝚒𝚕 𝚒𝚝 𝚑𝚞𝚛𝚝𝚜❞
Aiden was appreciative to hear that Laurel was also in favor of sparing Vivienne, but hearing her call the daughter of Khione an “asset” made him inwardly cringe. She’s not a tool, she’s a person. He bit his tongue. On the other side of the table, Aggy piped up a cheerful response of “Yep!” to his reminder. He furrowed his brow briefly. “You’re going?” Aiden sniffed. Age aside, Aggy was far too new of a camper to be making themselves go on this kind of quest. Did she even know what she was condemning herself to? Probably not. As much as the son of Athena wanted to argue, he doubted he could get any level of sense into her head.
Then came the next hurdle: how were they getting there? Mount Marcy sounded like their best bet, but it wasn’t exactly what you’d call close by. Aiden kept quiet while they discussed who and if anyone could drive, or where they could acquire a vehicle large enough to transport everyone. He was surprised to hear both that Teilo could and Mira, couldn’t, though it didn’t surprise him to hear the daughter of Aphrodite say she could ride a horse just fine. Most campers could, after all. If only Will were going on the quest. If Will didn’t have his license, he could definitely figure out how to drive anything he was stuck in front of the wheel of. Aiden suppressed a smirk at the mention of stealing Apollo’s sun chariot, but he did have to agree the idea was rather far-fetched. “I think the pegasi are still a good option.” He chimed in. “We don’t necessarily have to fly, we can just use the horse.. part, and... not.. the wing... part.” He felt awkward saying it, especially in front of Chiron who was, part horse. “Or we can just take Lu’s aunt’s van, that works too,” he mumbled. “Just ignore me thanks.”

[➳]Caleb Thomas|18|he/him|Athena|the lake|Tags:KhioneThe goddess seemed quite pleased with the knowledge he provided, his thoughts echoed moments later when she spoke again, thanking him for the valuable information. He felt a surge of pride, quickly followed by guilt. What he was doing wasn’t inherently wrong...he wasn’t intending to work against the demigods at camp, he was simply helping out someone else who could help him. And it was nice to be appreciated for doing something useful other than just being a pretty face.
He nodded in deference as she spoke, offering a quick smile before breaking the connection. “Thank you, Your Frostiness.” Once the vapour of the Iris message had been broken, he let out a breath he hadn’t realized he’d been holding. Your Frostiness? She’d probably take that as a compliment, he thought with a shrug, turning back towards camp.
He walked back into the woods, heading towards the cabin. His hands were shaking slightly after that interaction, and he shoved them in his pockets so as not to draw attention to the nervous energy that radiated off of him. He wasn’t really scared of the goddess, more so the idea of what he’d just done—and maybe Khione a little bit, she did have frozen mortals decorating her throne room.
if only i could keep you in my pocket
to give me some diagnosis of why i'm so hollow
please give me instructions, i promise i'll follow
i tripped on my ankle and fractured my elbow
but doesn't that mean that the tour's gonna sell, though?
i try to explain the good faith that's been wasted
but after an hour, it sounds like complaining
wait, don't go away, can i lie here forever?
you say that i'm better, why don't i feel better?
the universe works in mysterious ways
but i'm starting to think it ain't working for me
doctor, should i be good, should i be good this year?

|♡|Mirabelle Everhart|17|She/Her|Aphrodite|Head Counselor|Location: Dining Pavilion|Tags: Quest Meeting Group|
Mirabelle nodded in acknowledgement when Laurel returned, claiming it was all good. "Thanks." She offered the older girl a genuine smile, relieved that she wouldn't have to use her charmspeak to get them a vehicle.
"Are you certain walking to your aunt's house is the best idea?" Chiron cut in. "I know you are a capable group of demigods, but this winter weather is unpredictable at best. If you are indeed going to walk, please be careful."
Gods, the guy was acting like a worried dad. It simultaneously warmed Mirabelle's heart and caused a sense of sad nostalgia to sweep over her. Her father had been like that - constantly concerned for her well-being. Even when he was busy designing, he tried to include her in the process without fail. She had always loved watching him work, sitting beside him as he sketched out new ideas. He would take her to places new and old to search for inspiration whenever he had a creative block. That was how their hikes up Mount Marcy and the surrounding area had started - looking for inspiration in nature. He even brought her into the city with him for New York Fashion Week, year after year. And later, Paris. Oh, that had been a dream come true. He spoke a limited amount of French himself, but with her along, he didn't even need a translator. She didn't know why that was until Camp Half-Blood, however. And by that point... it was all gone.
It took a startling amount of energy to keep her face stolid and calm on the outside. The memories brought such bittersweet joy and pain. And with them, an overwhelming sense of guilt. She bit down on her cheek rather hard, grounding herself in the current moment.
Aiden was speaking, she realised. Bottling up her turbulent emotions, Mirabelle devoted all of her attention towards him. Internally, she was grateful for the distraction from thoughts about her past. Noting how awkward Aiden suddenly seemed, she offered him a comforting smile.
"You could take the horses and pegasi to Laurel's aunt's house in order to collect the van," Chiron mused aloud, nodding. "They are intelligent beings and will certainly be able to get back on their own. The Mist should conceal the wings; I wouldn't be worried about what mortals will see."
"I think that's a good idea," Mirabelle agreed. Plus, she would have the chance to make another farewell she had nearly forgot about - Firefly, her favourite pegasus mare. Building trust with the skittish equine had taken a good amount of time, but Mirabelle had found it to be much more rewarding than pursuing a relationship with one of the friendlier horses. She had even ridden Firefly on occasion, starting when the mare had broken her wing by smacking into the Corning Glass Building after some irresponsible demigod (probably Juliet) had startled the entire herd with airhorns. Since then, Firefly had been more tentative about flying, which helped to abate Mirabelle's fears of the feathered horse taking off into the air without warning. Again, she was not about to deal with her crippling fear of heights. Not yet, anyway. She knew it would probably come up, what with having to scale a mountain and everything. But she would rather put it off as long as possible for the time being.
"Might have to bribe them with donuts, though." Mr. D's grumble cut into her thoughts again.
"Please do not feed the pegasi donuts," Chiron amended. "Sugar cubes would be a healthier option."
Mirabelle nodded, turning her attention back to the quest group. "It sounds good to me. I can give quick riding lessons to anyone who needs them, if this plan is alright with everyone."
|⟡|Juliet Pratten|16|She/Her|Hermes|Location: Cabin 3|Tags: Hu, Caspia, S'ad|Mentions: S'ad's Prank|
"Yeah, but like, a HUUUGE one," Juliet explained. "Like twice the size of a lion. I think it's a gryphon? I dunno. Gryphons are usually smaller and black in colour. Kinda remind me of hyenas." She made a face at the thought. "This one's a weird red-gold colour, and has like reeaally sharp-looking feathers." Desire sparkled in her hazel eyes as she spoke of the feathers in particular. "Oh, and that's not all! The thing is totally guarding a gem. Looks shiny. Probably valuable. I have no idea how this big monster got in here or why it has a gem, but dude, stealing it - and maybe some feathers - would be so much fun. Terrifying, but fun. Potentially life-threatening, but fun. And it's also kind of blocking my way into my cabin... soooo? Whaddya say? Up for a little heist?"
Juliet listened, raising an eyebrow. She seemed wholly unperturbed by the situation, including the other teen's - S'ad, Set had said - angry reaction. If anything, the daughter of Hermes looked downright pleased with herself. A mischievous smirk had spread across her face. "Dude, if you're gonna prank someone, I'd go a little more along the lines of 'mild amusement' than 'monsters that could totally kill us'," she half-joked. "And yeah, Greek gryphons are like... they're more like flying hyenas. Smaller and scrappier. Not whatever that huge monstrosity is out there, for sure."
She crossed her arms over her chest as she heard Set speaking, the lopsided smile never leaving her face. "Wow. With a speech like that, I would've thought you're the God of Really Boring Facts." She snorted, though humour danced in her hazel eyes. "Magician, huh? So you're those Egyptian dudes Chiron was going on about last night? Why aren't you fighting whatever the other Egyptian gods are fighting? The... crud, what did he say? I dunno. Something about Magicians and having problems."
|❀|Chuck Oakes|He/Him|Satyr|Location: Outside Dining Pavilion|Tags: Yuno|
"Like, thanks, man!" Chuck bleated, breaking into a grin. "You have like, no idea how relieving it is to hear that, you know?" He watched as Yuno jotted something down, absently chewing on his sleeve. Always organised, that one. They reminded him of Mira in that sense - though Mira tended to have a mental checklist rather than a physical one. He absently wondered if Mira's mental checklist was colour-coded and had little sticky notes all over it.
"Uh, so like, where do we even start?" Chuck shuffled his hooves in the snow. "We can totally like, get the other satyrs to help and stuff, most of them are like, trying to anyways, I think." He'd seen a few fellow satyrs out in the woods, mostly consoling dryads and attempting to offer help, though they had seemed a bit confused as to how exactly to do so.
|⊙|Zahra Al-Amin|217/Looks 32|She/They|Magician; Eye of Sekhmet|Location: Cabins Area --> Dining Pavilion|Tags: Jay|
Zahra followed the young magician to the stately building, again silently admiring the soaring Greek columns. The sound of many voices rang out as she crested the hill. It seemed the demigods were in some kind of meeting - most likely concerning the troubles they were dealing with, she reckoned. Amidst the crowd, she could sense Set's chaotic energy somewhere close by. "I thank you for your aid, Jay," Zahra whispered, at loathe to interrupt the proceedings. "Now, if you could kindly point me in the direction of the Host, I would be most grateful."
|❄|Vivienne Isole|18|She/Her|Khione|Location: Mount Marcy Caverns|Tags: Caleb --> N/A|
Khione seemed pleased by Caleb's uttered title of 'your Frostiness'. As the connection faded, the goddess summoned a ventus into the room.
"Yes, my lady?" the blizzard spirit inquired.
"Rally our forces - about half to three-quarters of the venti. Leave some to defend Mount Marcy or track the travelling demigods, should they make it beyond the camp borders. Tell the venti to gather outside of Camp Half-Blood. The address is Half-Blood Hill, Farm Road 3.141, Long Island, New York. If you botch this up in any way, I will turn you to dust myself."
The ventus gulped, if it even had an esophagus. "Affirmative." The living wind gave Khione a salute; which would have looked rather comical if she'd had a sense of humour. With that, the ventus discorperated into a flurry of snow.

A blush engulfed Sa'd's face.
"I-I am not very welcome at the Nome. They told me you guys accepted refugees, so I came because was supposed to be safe. I suppose the real reason they sent me is because they don't trust me. So they got rid of me. Can't really blame them can I?" Sa'd asked giving a half hearted chuckle to pass it off as a joke.
Set frowned. He was glad Sa'd was at least trying to get along with her, but not like this. Not with making sad jokes.

Cassandra Peters|19|Hermes/Cabin|11|Head Counselor|Loc:Forest|Tags/Mentions:Delilah, Edgar(Raven),open
Cass sighed before carefully putting away the unfinished bracelet, working on friendship bracelets typically helped to calm her down but all of her thoughts were just going down the drain of negativity. Edgar gave a low croak before gently giving Cass an affectionate nibble on the ear "Thanks Edgar" She said softly with a small smile before getting up from the group and leaving behind the cedar. As Cass walked Edgar still hanging out on her shoulder, not particularly paying attention to where she was going she noticed a girl with her knees pulled to her chest. Cass realized that it was Delilah and ran over forgetting about her own troubled thoughts, her running causing Edgar to leave her shoulder and fly to a nearby tree to watch. Cass skidded to a stop before kneeling beside Delilah and placing a gentle hand on her shoulder "hey...hey what happened? what's wrong?" Cass murmured her voice filled with concern. Delilah was someone she cared for deeply and Cass was determined to get to the bottom of what had happened.
