- Cassidy's gaze flicked from the man with the disorderly hair, to the worn, leather wallet clutched between her slim fingers. From admist the crowd, a few gasps and scoldings were heard.
Now the reality sank in.
Cassidy's breathing quickened, her chest heaving with every breath, as the unfamiliar faces scowled down at her. With panic rising each moment, something had to happen. If it happened now - even if it was being taken by the brainwashed loyalties. Disorderly brown shooed them away, showing authority - which didn't surprise Cassidy at all. The crowd left, leaving him and her. As he talked, she stared at his face. He looked familiar, but she can't exactly figure out who he is.
Cassidy nods, her hand shaking as she takes his hand. As she stands, she clutches the wallet closer to her chest, signalling that he's not going to get it back. Unless he takes it with force. His attitude and stance suggests he's friendly, but Cassidy's fallen into that mistake already.
Taking a few steps back, her eyes scan a passage way for escape. A cart blocks the way behind her - it's too low to climb under and tall enough to enable her from climbing over. Rubbish bags and other assortment of items litter a dark alley - but Cassidy has already shown how clumsy she can be. The only other option is to barge right at disorderly brown, but he looks tough enough to snap her neck on the spot.
His last words surprise her.
“You think you can make me stop theiving?”
The words came out before she could stop them. Her voice was tinged with annoyance, giving the statement a sharp, 'diva' effect. Cassidy urged to give him a huge lecture on how her hatred and life is caused by the scum-bags of the loyalty - but she reins her attitude back in.
