"Two riders," Legolas replied tersely. "They seem to be in a hurry, and one of them is wounded. They are sitting on a horse and there is a warg in front of them."

"A warg?" Gandalf frowned. "But they could not be chasing it if one is injured... they would seek aid first." He murmured a few words and the tip of his staff glowed dimly.

Legolas slowed down and was glad to do so, for his own cut to the side was starting to sting. The two riders also halted. Legolas gazed at them curiously, but as soon as he saw the blood seeping through one of the rider's arms, his own wound suddenly seemed much less serious than this.

Legolas was not a healer. All his life he had been trained as a warrior, to ignore the screams and deaths of his foes, and every since he had been an elfling, he had been trained in the throes of battle. But one look at the wounded being and he knew that she needed to get to Gondor; and fast.
