Ba-Kafele nodded. "Exactly right." He rubbed the back of his neck. "She, well, uh, threatened me with a fate worse than death."

Anubis laughed, "She has been protecting Navalia since her brother Luke died in-" he stopped and looked away. "I don't know what to say Kafele... you could have Navalia talk with you abot Sekhmet..but I don't know what to do I'm sorry." He looked over his shoulder at Ammit and sighed. The god looked back at him and frowned..."You can bring Navalia here and I can talk with Sehkmet while you talk with Navalia....if you want to." Anubis leaned against a pillar and stared at the ba form of Kafele and he turned and almost jumped out of his skin, standing behind him was Lukas.

Kafele sighed. "I think that MIGHT be a better idea..." He watched as Anubis jumped. A small smile formed on his mouth. He looked out his shoulder and saw a guy that looked like Nava. "You must be Luke..."

Anubis looked at Kafele than back at Luke. "What are you doing here Luke?" He stared shocked when Luke whined like a dog. Luke phased into a fox and vanished in the shadows.

Nava sat on her bed and looked at her staff, hanging from the staff was a charm Luke had bought for her when she was little. She started to cry as she remembered what he had done. Nava looked up and froze, she saw a fight, horrible and painful. She saw some of the magicians running at demons, hurling spells at them. Nava cried when she saw Starling standing over her, using her black ivory staff to try and stab her....She was alone, no one was there to help her stay alive. She was scared.

Luke stepped out of the shadows and tilted his black head and watched his sister, "NAVA!" He stepped forward and phased back into his human ba form.

Nava looked up and stared at him, she stood up and looked him up and down. Her brother wore black jeans, a black t-shirt, and black combat boots. She stepped forward and stood a feet away from him, his black hair reached his waist and a piece of his bangs fell across his left eye. "What do you want Luke? Why did you come here?" Nava tilted her head and watched her brother closely. She stared at him, watching his golden eye's carefully. Luke looked down and stared at the bottom of her dress...not meeting her gaze. Nava's eyes widened when he started crying, "I'm sorry Nava, so sorry...I should've never left you alone...EVER!" She stared at him confused, her staff was glowing faintly from her bed, Kafele and Anubis where watching this happening in her room.

Anubis stood there stunned he looked over at Kafele, "Now how do you explain this hmm?"

Kafele looked at Anubis, equally surprised. "You tell me Death Boy."

Anubis glared and sighed, "Well what do you want me to say? That her brother blames himself for leaving her?" He leaned forward and shook his head. "Luke shouldn't be there at all, he should be here where he is safe." Anubis looked at Kafele and tilted his head, "I have a question for you. What would you do if you lost Navali....like you almost did before?"

Nava stared at Luke confused, "I'm so sorry little sister...this is all my fault." She stepped forward and shook her head. "It's never your falt Luke, never, so stop blaming yourself." She looked at him and smiled sadly. "You never did answer my questions." Luke shook his head and stared at the ground. "I should go...be safe little bird." Nava stared after him as he slipped into the shadows, she hasn't heard that nickname in years.

Luke stepped out of the shadows and stared at Anubis and the ba kid. "Who are you? and how do you know my name?"

Kafele frowned. "I don't know. But I'd use that freaky power I have and kill whoever did it. Then I might go and use her shadow to bring her back." Kafele turned and looked at Luke. "Dude. He's the God of Death. He knows EVERY dead person."

Luke snarled, "I meant you." he pointed at Kafele and glared sadly.

Anubis frowned and shook his head. "Why are you so sad Lukas? Did you not have enough time to talk with your sister?" The god turned back to Kafele. "And if they spell didn't work? Then what would you do for Navalia Thorne?" He noticed how strongly Luke flinched when he mentioned his sister. "By the way Kafele, thats the path of Anubis your using." he looked at the two of them and sighed.

Nava shook her head and sat against the floor and stared at her staff. Sighing she went to her bed and flopped down on it, closing her eyes she fell asleep.

Kafele glared back at Luke, but didn't answer him. He didn't care if he WAS Nava's brother or not. He looked back at Anubis, ignoring LUke completely. "I would join her." He stated the words quietly, but his voice was level.

Luke stared at him startled. "You would join my sister in death?"

Anubis nodded and turned to look at Luke, "Yes thats what he said, why so surprised Lukas, if this where to happen the Thorne family would be whole again....isn't that what you've wanted? For the family you care so much about to be whole again?"

Luke stepped back shaking his head, his eyes flashing with such hurt and pain that Anubis felt bad for questioning him. He stepped towards him, "Lukas I'm sorry I-" Luke cried out with pain and grief and vanished in the shadows.

Anubis shook his head, "I'm sorry you had to see that Kafele but you should be greatful to have Navalia...if it weren't for her older brother you wouldn't have in your life, nor would the house of life have such a pretty and powerful diviner, if it hadn't been for Lukas Thorne."
