Lucifer's grin never wavered as the guard lunged toward him. He gave a (unnoticeable to Jake) nod to Benji and raised his scythe to prepare to block.

Jakes silver sword clashed with Lucifer's weapon and then he felt sharp metal against his throat. We'll let you live to tell the tale, but next time, we will really kill you..." Benji whispered as he hit him on the head hard. "Well, he's out. Let's drink and take all of his stuff.." Benji said as he was already searching through his jacket and grabbed the sword.

Paige flicked her ears as she heard something nearby. She shook it off and walked up to her house. She opened the door then went inside her bedroom, yawning softly. Minni jumped up on the bed and curled up on the pillows. "Min! I need room to sleep too!" Paw said, laughing. The dog just closed her eyes then fell asleep.

Jake groaned a bit, and Benji emerged from his neck smackin his bloody lips. "If we let him live, y'know, people really will get scared of us. We'll have a killer rep." Benji chuckled at his own pun.

Lucifer smirked. "You're lucky we're letting you live..." He said to the conked out body as he searched Jake's pockets. "Otherwise, I'd love to eat your soul...I suppose some of your blood will do for now." Being a demon, he could survive on both blood and souls, and though souls were more delicious, he'd settle for blood. This guard was interesting...and he'd love to see the look on his face when he woke up, weak in the middle of the South with all his things missing. He waited for Benji to finish drinking before he himself took a quick drink. Chuckling at Benji's words after he finshed, he grabbed the guard's sword. "This is a fine blade. It will sell for a pretty penny on the black market."

Benji examined it. "It is isn't it? Quite the eay-catcher." He stood up and wiped his mouth. "Man, too bad he wasn't a Neko, or a Shape-shifter. Then his blood might actually taste better.." Benji put all of the stuff into their sacks and let Lucifer drink.

Lucifer wiped his mouth when he was finished and made sure the guard was still breathing. "I know, wouldn't it? Maybe we should lure one out tomorrow night instead of just randomly choosing whoever seems to walk by...Come on, we better hurry. Someone might have heard the fight."

"Yeah, we got what we came for... " Benji picked up his stuff and walked alongside Lucifer and his cat. He heard a flapping of wings and then saw Shadow, his raven perch on his shoulders. "Let's go."

Lucifer nodded and let Sarafina crawl up onto his shoulders, licking at the leftover blood on the corner of his lips. Sarafina nuzzled the side of his head and he laughed and patted her head, scratching behind her ears. "Ah, my beautiful Sarafina, how magnificently divine your fur looks under the moonlight!" He turned to Benji with love-struck eyes. "Isn't she just darling, Benji?"

Benji rolled his eyes. "Your mad." Benji brought Shadow to his hands so he could carry her. He loved her, but as a friend loved another, not like a lover. "Absolutely crazy. But in some ways, I guess we all are... cooped up in this God-forsaken city.. I swear I'm going mad."
