Gamzee jogged to keep up, she was growing tired. It was becoming dark and she was..afraid of the dark. ''Um,Gage? Can I tell you something that might make me a wimp?'' She stuttered softly. Gamzee didn't normally tell about her fear of the dark. It was super embarrassing.

Gage slowed down and looked at Gamzee curiously, "Sure." He said with a shrug, wondering what was bothering her. He was getting worried as it got darker, more walkers would be out now that the heat of day wasn't decaying them faster.(wb )

''I-I'm..scared. Of the dark. OK call me a wimp now. You can.'' She said sadly, looking down. Gamzee braced herself for the hateful and demeaning words. ''S-Sorry..'' She says.

Gage stared at her a moment before looking forward, "Don't apologize, everyone is afraid of something. I'm afraid of spiders....and seaweed." He admitted with a chuckle, "You'll be safe with me, I promise." He said and held a hand out for her to take if she wanted as reassurance.

Gamzee slowly took his hand and smiled, curling her fingers around his. ''T-Thank you.'' She said quietly. ''You're really nice.'' She says and looks up at him tiredly. ''We should hurry.''

Gage smiled, closing his own fingers. "No problem
" He said then noddes in agreement and sped up the pace. They still had a few miles to go before the reaches the gas station then they still had to find a place to rest for the night.

Gamzee jogs next to him, Gears still perched on her shoulder. She smiled at the little rat and petted him, still holding Gage's hand. ''Do you think we'll have to sleep at the gas station?'' She asks.
