"Sure." Jamie finished up the parts of his dinner that looked edible enough and soon set his plate on the stairs. "Make that two unlucky people that will slide down the steps." He chuckled and moved back to Monique's side. "Since you're by the adviser's cabin, you must be in cabin three, right?"

Monique shrugged. "I guess," Monique had to look closer as the approached the cabins, as the porch roofs shaded the surrounding area in darkness. It wasn't hard to find Cabin 3 because it was next to the advisor's cabin, the largest one. She pushed open the rattly door and looked around the small cabin. It was old and rotting, and there were some holes in the wood. "Gross," Monique muttered to herself as she studied the room. Walking to the back, though, she could hear the swishing of the water in the lake.

Jamie slowly stepped in after Monique, scrunching his nose at the sight of the cabin. "I would have thought that they'd keep them a bit cleaner...Or at least replace the wood that they're made of." He sighed a little and made his way towards the back. "Well, at least you get the sound of the lake. And, a nice view through one of the holes in the wood."

Monique frowned. "What a great thing to look forward to," She muttered, starting to head quickly for the rattly front door. She didn't think she'd like to cabin too much, and, frankly, she didn't think it would really like her either, even though it wasn't alive. She sighed. "Well, dinner's probably almost over.." She leaned back against the wall and shuddered, feeling he wind blow through a hole behind her. Her shirt still hadn't dried yet, but she couldn't get a clean one until the advisors gave out the camper's suitcases.

Jamie sighed silently and followed Monique out the door. "I'm sorry for the rotten cabin," he said as he leaned up beside her. He noticed her shuddering slightly, probably from the cool breeze. After all, her clothes were still wet. Jamie slipped out of his jacket and draped it over her shoulders. "The advisers will get the luggage out in a moment, but this is the least I can do to keep you warm."

Monique looked up at him and smiled. "Thanks," She said. "And, as for the cabin, at least I don't have to spend too much time in here. If this is that bad, I can't imagine what the dining hall looks like," She shuddered and moved closer to Jamie, trying to get away from the hole the wind was blowing through.

Jamie stiffened slightly when Monique moved a little closer to him. "Still cold?" he asked curiously. He didn't dare to put his arm over her shoulder. Plus, he was sure that the other campers would find it odd that an adviser like himself loved one of the campers. He didn't even have the courage to tell her that. "Yeah...The mess hall isn't in that good of a condition either," Jamie said at last after his moment of silence.

Monique thought for a moment, before answering his questions in order. "Yeah, sorta.." She shrugged, then glanced out a larger hole in the wood at the dining hall. Just from the outside, it didn't look in good condition.

Jamie hesitated for a moment but ended up hugging her loosely from behind. "I..uh...hope this is a bit warmer for you." He smiled weakly at her and looked back towards the mess hall. He could have sworn he heard the large building creak and sway a little bit.

Monique smiled and openly fell back against him. She sighed and listened as she heard rain begin to patter against the wood roof. Apparently, there were holes in the roof as well and puddles were starting to form. Monique stepped back more again Jamie when some of the raindrops almost fell on her. Already the storm was starting to gain.
