Daz changed back and wondered what that was all about. He guessed someone, another shapeshifter, had been trying to get out of the orphanage. Daz felt the cool breeze blow on his face as he stood by the window and stared out. It was a clear day with sun. but dark shapes were moving in the shadows. Kidnappers, they were bound to get someone anyday. Daz just hoped that they never got in. He clearly remembered the day when Paul disappeared. The alarms had gone off. Not an alarm clock but sirens. Everyone had known what that meant. Someone had been taken. Darren had looked and saw Paul's bed was empty. the kidnappers must have lured him out. Paul had been missing for two years now. He suspected the kidnappers drained power out of them and then disposed of them. Only usful one's with clever minds were allowed to live. But this was worse than death. They made you a slave, working for them. Paul had not been clever. So... well Daz didn't like to think about it.
