Modern Magic (No more new members)

(Myst is still walking backwards, but they're just outside the park now. My new charrie, J, met Lumina, drew a pic of her for her, drew a pic of robins, and him and Lumina are sitting on a bench. That's about it.)

Myst stopped walking just at the top of a hill in the park.

J finished his drawing and signed the corner. He took a peice of paper out of his pocket and checked some thing off a list. He grinned. "Just three more orders to go and I can take a break." he said to himself. J turned to a new page and checked his list. His grin dissolved into a frown. "'You decide, but make sure it's good! ~ Mr. Diar of the Minor Arts Museum.'" he read. "Dang, I really hate Mike Dair, that guy never specifies an order, and he never pays for the drawings 'cause he thinks they stink." J grumbled. He nibbled at the end of his pencil, trying to think of some thing to draw.

"Minor arts? What are those?" Lumina asked, since art was embodied into so many forms - music, dance, drawings, sculptures. The list could go on and on.

Shane stopped beside her, examining the park. All the kids seemed to be having so much fun. They all seem so.... joyful Shane thought to himself, finally finding the right word. He enjoyed seeing all the people having so much fun, it made him feel better.

"Mr. Deir, owner and founder of Minor Arts Museum. He exibits the art of amitures and talented bigginers in all media of art. Videos are put on TV's all around the museum of dancers and acters, he has an exibet dedicated to singers and music players, and his biggest theme is the visual arts. He even has the best of the best come in to talk to people about their life stories and give positive critiqu on the things in the museum. He's been on my case for years to draw a picture for him to put in his museum, but he never tells me what he's looking for. So he always ends up regecting my art and asking for a new peice." J said, as though he had told people that same thing time and time again.

Myst was just turning around to face the park as well, but, you guessed it, tripped. She went toumbling down the hill and landed at the bottem on her back with a thud.

Shane ran quickly after her as she fell down the hill. He did his best to try and stop her but, was unsuccessful. When he finally caught up to her, complete worry filled his mind. "Are you alright?" he asked, worry apparent in his voice. He held out a hand to help her up.

"Maybe you have to draw art... Draw people dancing, singing, playing musical instruments. Maybe you could even draw people painting or sculpting!" she said, her mind filling up with ideas of what to draw.

Myst blinked a few times with a blank look on her face, then started laughing. She grabbed Shane's hand and pulled herself up. "That was fun!" she said, still laughing.

"Maybe... But, I can't really draw things like that. I mean, I can draw people when it's just for fun, but it always ends up looking horriable when it's a job." J sighed. "I just need to practice more, but most people won't let me draw them unless they can keep the drawing." he said, scetching a butterfly.

Shane let out a large sigh of relief when he realized Myst was okay. "I thought you were hurt." he then said, half smiling to her.

"Maybe... But, I can't really draw things like that. I mean, I can draw people when it's just for fun, but it always ends up looking horriable when it's a job." J sighed. "I just need to practice more, but most people won't let me draw them unless they can keep the drawing." he said, scetching a butterfly.

"I'd be glad to help. Besides, if I can see myself in a gallery, that's a consolation, right?" Lumina said, chuckling softly. "You drew me for fun anyway, so this won't be anything different," she added.

"Well, yeah... but I'd need you to look like your playing an instrument, or dancing, or singing, or painting. If not actually doing it, so I can get it right." J said, the corner of his mouth twitched into a smile.

Myst smiled. She ran over to a swing and started going back and forth. "Bet I can go higher than you!" she called.
