Aless grabbed her books and groaned to herself as she bell rang. She sighed and slammed her locker shut, wincing at the loud noise. She hurried to her next class, physics. She shook her head slightly, not sure what she felt about it. She didn’t know what to expect. Aless clutched her book as she knocked on t he door. She felt stupid that she knocked, and sheepishly opened the door. Under the teacher glare, she trembled as she explained what happened. She slid into an open seat, cheeks burning. Her heart skipped a beat as she realized she sat next to a boy. Just my luck she thought to herself. She covered her cheeks with her hair as she took out her pens and notebook, when she realized that she was still clutching the physics book.

Skye smiled to herself as familiar music filled her ears. She only had one earpiece in her left ear and her long hair did a good job of hiding the white wires. Skye picked up her notebook and began doodling on the cover. A skeletal tree began to take form, a moon shining brightly behind it with a few thin clouds to create an eerie picture. Skye added a few thin lines to make it look as if the tree was on a hill. Skye's thoughts were momentarily sidetracked, the guy was on the back of her mind.

Skye didn't notice when the teacher came into the classroom. She lightly wrote her name in her clear penmenship (sp) on the bottom of the notebook. Skye wasn't always the best at keeping track of her things so she was almost positive she would loose something this year. But, sadly, her notebooks were often lost, along with her notes. Skye more then once wished she had a tracking device on all her school stuff.
