Arthur held his breath as the staff members started choking. After the sounds had stopped, he opened his eyes that had closed tightly together sometime during the whole ordeal. He cautiously slid out from under the table to see all of them dead. A demented giggle escaped his lips when everyone else noticed what had happened. Before anybody could get a guard, the pale blond half-ran back to Alfred. He smiled, hugging the American tightly before letting go. "Come on. There's got to be a warden or some guards around here somewhere." Arthur took the other's hand in his own, pulling him towards the exit.

Alfred tried to suppress a smile, but couldn't. He looked around and narrowed his eyes though. There were still security camera's everywhere. He smiled and laughed as hugged Arthur. Alfred nodded as he allowed Arthur to take him away from this hell. "Right. We need to get out of here before someone goes over the security cameras...." he said looking up at them as they left. He stopped for a moment. "Arthur, just wait here for a second!" he said as he ran back inside for a few moments. He came back a few minutes later with his baseball bat and some keys. "Hurry! I ran into one of the guards! Hop in a car!" He said panting a little as he followed Arthur.

Arthur stopped, waiting anxiously outside the building. When the American came back out with keys and his bat, he had to resist the urge to just hug him. That can wait for later. Now, we need to focus on getting out of here. Nodding, the pale blond looked around before picking a car. Without waiting for Alfred to unlock it, he smashed the window with his elbow and opened the door that way. He got in, slamming it behind him, heart pounding. We're not going to get caught again. I need to calm down. But, obviously, that was easier said than done. Arthur could almost see all the guard running out to kill them. It was a terrifying thought.

AAlfred huffed as he got in the car and looked behind his shoulder. "Sh*t..." he saw three furious guards running out of the building. He brushed off the broken glass on his seat and started the ignition. When the guards reached them, it was too late. They already hit the road, driving away quickly. Alfred could feel his palms sweat was he gripped the wheel tightly. "They'd be idiots if they followed us..." he said looking behind his shoulder one last time. "No one would follow us back where we're going."

Arthur gripped the leather seat of the chair, his fingernails making crescent-shaped cuts in it. He was shaking more than he liked, and trying to hide it wasn't helping. "I-I know," he said shakily, trying to calm down. The pale blond turned half around to look out the back windshield. He couldn't tell if the guards were chasing after them, but he hoped they weren't. The last thing they needed was to lead them back to their asylum. Looking down, he slid across the bench seat of the car over to where Alfred was. He wrapped his arms around the other male's waist, burying his face in his shoulder.

Alfred looked back behind his shoulder for the first few minutes as he went over 100 mp/h. He relaxed just a little as he saw no one follow them and went slower, adjusting his grip on the wheel. He sighed, his heart still racing. "Thank God we're out of there..." He was still breathing heavily and couldn't calm himself down. Alfred smiled as Arthur hugged him. "I told you I won't let them hurt you." he said as his eyes were glued to the road.

Arthur smiled into the other's shoulder. And I wasn't going to let you get hurt either. He didn't say that out loud, though, because he feared that he would get a sarcastic response from the American. He sighed contently, listening to the hum of the engine and Alfred's heavy breathing. "I'm glad you didn't," the pale blond murmured softly, shaking slightly at the thought. He was anything but happy for getting Alfred sucked into everything, but he was at least glad that he didn't have to be alone on death row. I love you, Alfred. A lot. I hope you know that.

Alfred shoulders finally relaxed after a good ten minutes, even though his was still white-knucking the wheel. He stared at the road, getting more familiar with every mile. I wonder if they'll come after us... His mind, already high from adrenaline, raced with all he ways the officers could get back at them. He shook his head at the thought. "At least we're alright..." he finally said. "I don't know what I could do if you left me."

"Yeah," Arthur said softly, lifting his head up from the other's shoulder. He sighed softly, watching the roads get more and more familiar. He didn't know why they were familiar, though, because he had never been this far from their asylum. Shrugging it off as one of those freak things that the brain does, the pale blond looked down at the floorboards. And you think I can deal without you? Sure, the Brit had gotten by fine without the American before, but now, everything was different. At least, for Arthur it was. "I don't know what I'd do either..."
