I nodded as I kept walking leading him to the kitchen "Hungry?"

Tiro shrugged right back at him. "I don't really care," she said nonchalantly. She didn't care if Neferet believe her or not, she just wanted to Aphrodite who's boss. Yet she knew it mattered to Vance. "So don't join in on it, I'll do it myself." Beltza purred a little louder, glad to know she was thinking of others. She glared at him. "Shut up," she muttered, knowing what was going through his head.
It's lonely to be more powerful than any man you know and have to live like a shadow. To be special and have to pretend you're a fool. You feel trapped. Like your whole life has been planned out for you and you have no control over anything, and sometimes you don't even know if what destiny decided is...really the best thing at all.
