~ Jack ~

"Wow buddy," said Jack, smiling at the young boy, for he too had just seen a hawk. He had to say it wasn't his first time, but the only time he's ever met a hawk in person. He remembered the last time hed seen one. It had been sitting in a tree nearby looking very agitated and out of palce, as soon as it had seen Jack approaching it had flown away and very fast. Jack remembered that well but had never spoken to anyone of it. He smiled now though at Odell, it must be pretty exciting for him. It was actually still quite interesting for Jack, they were beautiful birds. Jack briefly wondered where Tempest had got to, but he hadn't much liked him anyway, so it was better sitting there without him. After a second Jack got up and went to the tree, givign the stone back to Odell, "You wouldn't want to lose that," he said, because any half decent weapons were rather scarce here.

Soon Jack had finished the carving he was working on, he looked at it, then at Aella, deciding to give it to her, as it had no real purpose. "Here," he said, handing the small, detailed fox-shaped peice of wood to her.

(Okay, thanks. I'll try to make a decent post.
My brain is pretty inactive, and I'm trying to comprehend the fact that we're seeing a movie which I don't want to see at all.
It's also thinking a lot about how I'm going to be in a car tomorrow for around for and a half hours xD
Sorry if this sounds like complaining. I sometimes need to vent.

Mmm... I'd like to be the Queen of the sea-lion people. :D
And I missed you too! I felt really bad when I was being forced to do other stuff, and I was thinking, "OH NO, MY POOR FRIENDS, THEY MUST BE WONDERING WHERE I AM RIGHT NOW D8"
    But now I'm here! :D)

    / Aulis /

The forest was always daunting to Aulis ever since he was a young pup. He felt that it would go on forever, and was unable to comprehend that there was a whole other world out there, let alone three other pieces of land exactly the same size as his Tribe's territory. Zayn never took any care to wonder or think about how large the whole world was, and often just ended the conversation with him saying, 'better not t' think about i'. E'll make your brain e'plode.' and that was that. Aulis stared at the tree tops dejectedly, his bow hanging precariously from his limp fingers which were leaden with the guilt of actually aiming at something so graceful. He knew that the Tribe needed his help to eat, and that by making the deer run off, it lessened their food supply a little, but he tried to avoid thinking about it.

Zayn was chattering on in his quaint speech about how he had once killed two deers all by himself, in a matter of a few seconds. Aulis' older brother was a very graphic boy, and often took huge joy in describing things as detailed as possible, especially if it included something about him in his story, or if it contained a lot of blood. Furthermore, he loved nothing better than to bother his brother hugely with his bloody stories, as he knew that sometimes Aulis could be weak of stomach for other animals, and took advantage of this, describing the bloody scene in even more detail. Aulis' face was white as he walked, trying to block out his brother's tail as much as he could, trying to focus on different things. The sky that was beginning to get a bit paler, grayer, as if the clouds were heavily laden with rain. The ground, the dirt scuffed up with the thousands of human and wolf feet or paws that had walked over it's surface. Or even the sound of the stream gurgling a little bit away. Anything to block out his brother's gory story.

"... and then, after I had bashed the heads-" Zayn was interrupted by his brother who stared at him, tight-lipped and forever pale. "Zayn. I do not. Need. That." he said through gritted teeth, his tail bristling in uncomfortableness, his ears flat against his head in annoyance. Zayn shrugged and flashed a grin. "You're th' boss man." he said in a somewhat belittling way, as if he was trying to stress sarcasm. Aulis sighed and let his shoulders droop, glancing up. "How much longer until we're back at camp?" he asked, sounding a bit worried. The older, stronger and more broad boy glanced around and shrugged, as if he couldn't care less. "Camp? Uh... I'unno. I' you wanned t' know, I'm not th' right person t' arsk." he said, and Aulis stared at him with wide eyes. "You mean we're lost?" he asked, his voice rising in volume. "Lost in our own territory?!" he asked, and Zayn stared at him with wide eyes. "Whadda I' matter?" he asked, and Aulis growled. "It's what! What does it matter!" he yelled, staring around wildly. "It's getting dark and going to rain soon. We need to get back to camp!" he said, and Zayn shrugged and sat down, starting to pick at the dirt. "If'n you know ho', the' by all means, take us ba' to camp." he said, and Aulis sighed, defeated. Sitting down, he wiped away a drop of water that had fallen on his face from the dark clouds from above. Then simply, he remarked, "I hate you, Zayn." and then it started to pour.

    / Rue /

Rue stared, finding how tired she was, at Odell and Aella. She was too tired to protest against Odell's friendly chatter with the outsider Hawk Tribe warrior, and sat there, staring around camp, her ears downcast. Odell was so excited about Aella, bouncing up and down around her like she was returning from a hunt with food, and Odell was a small pup who was just getting his first taste of meat. Casting a small glance at the sky, Rue noticed how the sky was beginning to become darker. The darkening sky was hanging over most of Fox territory, but also off in the distance, over the thick treetops of Wolf Tribe's territory. Soon it would rain. The Hawk Tribe warriors probably would not want to walk home in the rain. Gritting her teeth, Rue realized that they'd probably have to stay here for the time being, probably leaving tomorrow. Why? Why just... why?

"You wouldn't want to loose that." she heard Jack's voice as he handed the sharp throwing stone back to her younger brother, and Odell took it, staring at it curiously. None of them seemed to have noticed the sky. Sighing, she picked at the ground with a semi-long nail. Rue was surprised with how long they had gotten recently, since she normally chewed them almost every day, as it was a really bad habit of hers. Odell was hopping around again, rambling on about how he was so lucky to have met a Hawk Tribe warrior, and how he would be able to tell his children's children about how he saw a hawk. Rue didn't want to burst his bubble, but it was the truth that a lot of Tribesfolk from all Tribes had seen hawks in their life. A lot of times actually, so it wasn't that exciting. "Here." Jack's voice yet again broke through her thoughts and she glanced up sharply, as if brought out of a daze. Jack was giving the Hawk Tribe girl Aella a small little carving. The girl stared at it curiously as she took it, studying it, and then looked up at Jack, smiling her thanks, voicing the same thoughts as well.

There was a sudden noise as a form emerged from the larger hut of the camp, and the male Hawk Tribe warrior walked out. Tempest, she believed she had heard someone call him. Behind him came one of their more leaderly figureheads, Ember. Ember had somewhat filled in the place of their murdered leader. She was a tall but just girl, and had darker hair than most, and was almost like a daughter to their past leader. Now, she was a very strategic planner and always came up with the best plans for where to build things. Currently, Ember was doing the best that she could to make the Tribe a better place, trying to up the spirits of everyone, when there always was depression from the rule of the Marquess. Ember nodded and shook hands with Tempest, her dark red ears perked upright in a friendly gesture. It was obvious to see that the two had come to some sort of agreement. Rue stared warily at the Hawk Tribe boy, not so sure about him. He looked a little too confident for her taste. Tempest turned around and spoke something into Aella's ear, who nodded and stood up, clutching the carving tightly in her hand.

    / Aella /

It was a strange kind of offering that the fox boy had given her. A carving in the shape of a fox, maybe to remind her of this trip in particular? Aella kind of did want to remember this trip though, as it was her first out of the territory, and no violence had happened all the time. Traveling through other territories could sometimes be tense in times like these, and she was glad that there had been no hostilities. As Tempest walked out of the tent, Aella felt a wave of relief wash over her as she realized that he was not angry, nor was he unhappy. He was... offering the most of a smile he ever would. He leaned to Aella and spoke in her ear. "Everything is okay, it is time to go though. We need to make it back quickly, before it starts to rain." he said. Aella glanced at the sky, and thought mildly, fat chance, as there was no way they could make it back before the rain started to come. But of course, she did not voice her thoughts.

Standing up, she smiled at the others, nodding. "Thank you for accepting us into your camp without any... hostilities. I know that in times like these, it is hard to come upon a time where people accept others into their territory without anger. We must go though." she said, and... was it just her, or did the fox girl seem to be frowning hugely? Did she not want them to go, or was she frowning as she knew, as did Aella, that they could not go because of the rain? She turned back and glanced up at the sky, about to speak again, when it suddenly started to pour heavily. Everyone who was outside of shelter was instantly drenched in rainwater, and therefore, sopping wet and cold. Freya sputtered water, and glanced over to Aella, and started to crack up with laughter at the sight of her soggy friend, who was staring forward unhappily. Rue, too, had her ears flat against her head, staring moodily forward. Tempest just stared and shook his head, knowing the fate. They'd have to stay here for now.

((Yay! And you're not half seal which is even better :) ))

~ Jack ~
Jack grinned and clapped his hands together, "The more the merrier," he said, smiling broadly, even through the downpour, which completely flattened his usually springy hair. It was flat against his head and he could barely see out of the soaking fringe of ginger he had only just developed in the downpour. "Let's get everyone inside," he said, opening the door of his own hut, which was cosy and warm, and filled with his irritating, yet lovely family. He smiled again, ushering people inside, because he had never been one for the rain. His home would have to do for now, for they didn't really have a house going free for these people. Fox tribe never seemed to anticipate guests.

(( I think I'm going to start writing in third person too, as everyone is doing so. I don't want to be the only one in first person and reading your awesome skills as sharp as ever in third person kind of inspired me, so I hope you don't mind that I'm changing the narrator ))

The half-raven boy did not know very much in how to answer Anwe's question. It was actually a good question... Where to go? What was behind the mountains, the walls created by the Marquess? As a flying creature, maybe you could just sprout your wings and fly as high as you could and look into the horizon and decide your next destination. But it was hard when your wings are chained down to the ground, which was depressing as a member of the Raven Tribe that had nothing to accomplish on the floor. According to the legend, the oldest sibling of the gods, Raven, especially wanted wings to free himself from the misery on the floor, from the darkness and hopelessness. Maybe that's how Raven felt when he didn't have wings?

To Ruor, however, seemed worse, because they did have wings, they stared at those wings for days and days, heavy and useless. It's like staring at a large buffet with all kinds of meals and opportunities to fill your belly in a just a second, but you can't sit on the table because someone placed a wall - a thick, transparent wall - of glass, just so that you could watch as your stomach growled in desperation.

Back to reality, it is without a doubt that Anwe was expecting a sparkle if Ruor was to tell a place in where they could go, since the boy was known for fleeing a lot from the village and returning next day or next week. Someone spending so much time outside must know some cool places, right? Well, wrong - at least for Ruor. He never managed to go way too far since something inside him was always mumbling words to be around the village. He concluded that he wasn't hearing voices, but more of an instinct. Maybe that's how every member of a Tribe - or just the Raven Tribe - would feel whenever they try to leave?

Before Ruor would start speaking with a half-honest answer, he felt a cold splash on his forehead. He touched and was relieved to know that it was only water. "It's gonna rain." he mumbled with a hoarsed voice as if he didn't spoke in days. Making his large left wing to stand above him like an umbrella, he looked at Anwe "We better leave." and, without another word, he started moving but stopped after a few steps when he remembered something. Blair was still unconscious. Ruor would gladly leave the boy there, maybe some wild animals would take care of him, whether it was in the worse or better side. However, he already had a bad image and Anwe seemed to trust Ruor more then the others, as she was also different and suffered the same problems. Leaving Blair there to rot would not be a very good start.

In silence, he grabbed the boy on the ground with both his arms, still keeping his wing above to prevent from drenching. His silver hair and dark-red clothes were full of leaves stuck on it, but that wasn't Ruor's problem. Blair could very well clean himself after he woke up.

~ Anwen ~
Anwen looked to the skies, her face being splshed in droplets of cold water. She never had minded the rain, when she was younger she'd though it would wash the blonde away, but she had grown to know this was no the case. Oh how she longed to be like Rupr, how she longed to be like everyone else. It was alright for blair, thinking everything about her would be awesome, but it wasn't, her life wasn't. With reluctance Anwen got up wordlessly, and followed Ruor, she too forgetting about Blair for a moment until Ruor came back for him. She knew they would both be scolded now, Ruor probably more so than her, for he had been talking to her, something generally frowned upon in the raven tribe.

She wished she knew what was beyond the mountains, but there was no way to know, they had wings, but only litterally, they could never fly. they were tied down, permanently grounded, nothing they could do could break the chains bidning their wings out of use. It was depressing, far too much so because, what was a raven to do if they culd not fly, they were no longer a raven effectively.

Re: The Silence of Rebellion - Semi-lit (Accepting!)

Blair was not heavy, thought Ruor, which was weird considering the amount of snacks and sweets he would eat. Well, he was kind of skinny and agile, so this might be the answer to the mystery. On close expection, you just can't tell if Blair is a boy or a girl. After all those years of being refered to as a boy and getting very agitated whenever someone would go by 'miss', Ruor can be sure that Blair is just an effeminated boy.

Breaking his thoughts, Ruor started to become quite annoyed with the cold droplets of rain that were slowly going down through his feathers, giving him goosebumps since his wings were sensitive with anything that touched for being fragile. A sharp knife piercing through Ruor's wings would hurt much more and even on places that it didn't touch if they were piercing on another part of his body - say, his arm.

Ruor looked at Anwe that was following him and seemed to be deep in thoughts, which to Ruor was normal in lonely people as he was also lonely and his "company" were his own thoughts (no, he didn't have an imaginary friend). "Where do you think it's better for us to be safe from the rain?" Ruor spoke, being the second to break the silence; the first being Blair that just mumbled in his sleep.

~ Anwen ~

As Ruor had rightfully thought, Anwen was most certainly deep in her own mind, contemplating where to go and what to do once they got back to the village, wondering what would happen, whether the elders would react, whether they'd care about Blair being unconscious. Her thoughts were just becoming meaningless rabble that no-one needs to think about when Ruor spoke.

She did want to say they weren't being 'safe' from the rain as such, they were just going somewhere dry, Anwen herself didn't mind it, despite the fact it drenched her feathers completely. She ruffled them then, and then answered his question, "Anywhere where there won't be elders," she decided, for that was not what she needed right now, they always seemed to be sweeping along, poking their noses into other's business, apparntly keeping peace, but she thought otherwise. Other than that one suggestion, she didn't know where to go at all.
