Isabelle nodded, making sense of the logic "Yes, that is true. Since our wings are tired, maybe we should practice on our fire breathing... With training we might be able to learn how to aim and control heat or other things..." Isabelle speculated, hoping that they would be able to. She glanced over at Amy and thought I know my fire breathing skills are far from good.... I can't control it, and my aim is pretty much absent. She scratched absently at an itch that had creep along her arm, where the scales meet skin. She didn't want to irritate her scales --who knows what might happen-=, so she caught herself and quickly stopped scratching.

"That would be an excellent idea Isabelle," Xander appraised, "but let us get out of your and Amy's way. We don't want to get between a cross fire."

Andrew laughed and the two walked over to Isabelle's and Amy's cot and relaxed, watching them try out their fire breathing skills.

I wonder if we can yell with out fire coming out? Or maybe we can scream with out fire coming out? I know when I sneeze fire comes out of my mouth but I guess we can try it. She yelled, no fire came out of her mouth but smoke did and when she screamed a bunch of fire came out of her mouth. I guess screaming does the trick, I wonder if we can use muscles in our mouths we can breathe fire?

Yeah, I think the..... Fire organ... She couldn't think of a better name Is deep in there, like in the back. She wondered if coughing would make fire come out, so she started coughing, and small flames burst across her lips. It wasn't a huge typhoon of fire, but it was still enough to surprise someone. She concentrated, trying to find the certain spot that the fire was being generated from. Smoke drifted from the corner of her mouth and her nostrils as she flexed a muscle in her throat. She flexed it harder, and suddenly a burst of fire opened her mouth reaching out in different directions, sparks spraying everywhere. She smiled and said "I definitely have to work on my aim." Isabelle concentrated hard, staring at a fixed point on a wall. She started to breath fire, praying that it would go straight. It started out good, but it spread out; losing control. She broke the chain of fire as she snapped her mouth shut, and she sighed.

That was pretty good! Amy appraised her. She tried the same and the flames did end up going astray after staying straight for a short period. We can't give up, keep trying.

"In a while we should go back to flying lessons," Xander said

"Yeah, we I just need to rest the back muscles, and then we can get right to it." Isabelle agreed. She concentrated, closing her eyes and tightening the 'Fire organ', flexing it as it was still tightened. She opened her mouth as the spray of fire spilled out, forming a straight line. She maintained it for about 2 seconds before it spread out like before. She sighed, scolding herself for losing concentration. She cleared her throat and relaxed the 'Fire Organ'.

"Don't worry, it took a while before you both are the soldiers that you are today. It'll take a lot of training and we are going to have to push you like we did when you were in boot camp." Andrew said

"Not to disrespect you Sir, but we can't go out in public looking like this so why are we rushing?" Amy asked

"Just in case, if the government needs you both I want you to be ready." Andrew replied with a frustrated look. "Besides Sergent Major, both of you have to earn your keep and food."

"Yes Sir," Amy replied "Sorry to question you."

Amy stood corrected, she had known better not to question Andrew he had never led them astray, the scientist was to blame for this not him. I guess I over stepped my boundaries, or should I say, don't bite the hand that feeds you.

But we still needed to know. Don't beat yourself up about it... Isabelle thought to Amy, and then said "I understand, Sir. We're just still a bit confused about this kind of stuff..." Isabelle sighed, staring at the scales on her arms, that formed into small spikes on the outer side. Her gaze shifted to the part of her wings that were visible, thin but strong. She didn't really care about not going into public, but she hated all of these restrictions and boundaries. She loved the feeling of freedom, but the doctor had taken all of that away. "I think I'm ready to start the wing exercises again." She said in a quiet voice.

"Just do as you did before, use your back muscles. I'm hoping that we can get you both off of the ground today, but if not we will tomorrow." Xander replied

Andrew nodded in agreement and both he and Xander came closer to them.

Amy tried again, this time she felt a little more energized and she tightened her muscles and relaxed them as fast as she could. She felt her body become lighter and felt like she was floating.

Just then Andrew's phone ran. He answered it by the second ring. "Cimmons... Yes sir, yes, they are safe... Sir? They are not in a normal state, the doctor changed them... Yes, we have started their traning with Xander... When shall we expect you sir? Very good." He hung up and looked at his soldiers with a smile, "Our President wants to come here and personally meet you three. He will be over here in three days. We have to get you in shape before then, it is vital that you are in shape. He may need your services immediately."
