"Hmm." Coach Smith shifted his attention to the dark-haired boy. "Very well. What do you suggest us to do as that test?" he asked Hiko. He actually liked the students' suggestions, it assured him they were paying attention. He then turned to answer the shifter girl's question. "Sure... uh... Sevvy." he said, after checking the name list. "You can start by a warm-up run around the fight circle. When we come to your test I'll call you and explain you what to do, okay?"

Ren shivered again. It was getting really cold outside. She just couldn't wait to get moving - that would surely make the coldness go away. But the wind insisted in twirling her hair and pushing it towards her face. She muttered a curse and re-tied the ponytail. Her silver eyes were getting darker, as they reflected the cloudy sky.

Sevvy nodded carefully, and slowly turned, heading tword the fighter's circle as she shifted into a large, sleek silver panther. No matter what animal she'd turned into, it would be silver...always. She slowly moved around the ring, ears twitching and tail swaying side to side as if she were following it in the wind. She then shifted into a little silver fox, yipping lightly as she jumped -as if trying to pounce a rabbit) and then supprisingly shifted into a horse. She trotted around the ring, then cantered, and then galloped, finding it peaceful to be able to run again. She lifted her head up, tilted her head, and then dipped it low as she shifted into a wolf, and then turned tword her instructor as she shifted into a hawk. She lifted her wings, took flight, but stayed low to the ground as she made her way to Coach, and then landed carefully on his shoulder, shifting her wings and pressing them to her side's as she kept her claws from ripping into his clothes or skin.

Hiko pondered his question for a few seconds, then nodded. "How about we do a few combat's against older, more experienced students. That way, we could refrain from causing harm, AND find out one another's abilities." His lip twitched with a smile as he watched the girl-hawk land on the coachs shoulder. He rubbed his head and sighed. "Perhaps... Me against Ren?" He said, a sly glint in his eyes. It would be an interesting fight. A Survival person against a Deadly Knight. Both very capable of killing, but also of avoiding. He shifted and rolled his weight onto his left hip, slouching slightly. "It would be an interesting fight." He muttered quietly.

[Rayen]

((Deadly Fighter, you mean? xD Instead of Deadly Knight.))

The coach smiled, and glanced back and forth at Ren and Hiko. He did not know the boy's Gift, but he had seen Ren in many fights, so he had to agree with him - it would be an interesting combat. He nodded approvingly. "Alright. I think it will be fun to watch. In the least. Don't hurt each other, or else I'll get you doing push-ups for the rest of the morning." he cast a warning glance at Ren. He knew her reputation, and he didn't want any trouble during his classes. "You all" he told the rest of his students. "Sit down and analyse their combat. I want you to pay attention to their fighting styles and the way they use their Gifts in their favor."

Ren grinned wickedly. "Heck yeah! I was waiting for this the whole morning!" she rubbed her palms. It wouldn't be an easy fight, of that she was sure. But it didn't bring any shame to her, seeing as Hiko's Gift was Survival, so she could, once in her lifetime, embrace the cliché - win or lose, it doesn't matter. Just enjoy the fight. "Let's get to it then." she stepped into the sandy circle.

Hiko stepped into the circle and suddenly, everything about him changed. The air literally crackled with his dangerous aura. In the forest, animals stirred, uneasy. This being was similar to them. Knowing the rules of the forest. Fight, or Flight. Life or Death. Hiko relaxed and leaned back on his one leg and had his arms slightly raised, hands relaxed, in a defensive position. His eyes never left her, gazing into them without blinking. His scars almost seemed to glow omniously. The breeze stirred, having died with the coming of the fight, and his black hair wafted behind him. He shifted slightly and his weight lifted off the ground. All this, he did without knowing.

Ren dodged his first attack with a flowing move. That was the final push she needed. Her mind switched to battle mode, Hiko's weak and exposed spots were highlited, almost glowing in her brain. She spared a fraction of a second to watch his feline agility and build, but then she flung her hand upwards, aiming at the connection between his neck and his head. She didn't put much pressure on it - the very last thing she'd want was to kill a new student, though she was sure he could defend himself. However, she played it safe and hit him a little off the glowing area in her mind. But if he was human, the attack would certainly confuse him, at least.

Hiko saw her dodge and his eyes narrowed, but with concentration. He was still moving when she made her move. His body acted without a single thought in his head. He ducked down and bent forward slightly, dodging her blow, and he made a sweeping gesture with his leg at her feet, attempting to knock her feet out from under her. If this worked, he would swiftly deliver an upper cut to her jaw. If not, then he would lift his still moving leg and kick into her diaphragm. If she dodged that, she would most likely jump backward,s giving him a chance to stand up and assume his defensive posture once again.
