She sat on her bed, playing with her bow and arrows, playfully toying with them and aiming lazily at the bed post, the arrows leaving jagged marks as the token of the arrows. He picked out several, feather like knives and carving her name. This would be her bed for the greater part of her life until death or the age of nineteen. As the knives from Clove's hands whizzed past her head, she only flinched at the girl named Esther's scream. She did not second glance the wounded girl on the floor, and simply sighed as armed peacekeepers detained Clove. She walked over to the bathroom, still armed and went into the shower.

Lydia:.

Lydia walked back into her room, her deep cut bandaged. She noticed a girl sitting on a bed in the room. She just ignored her. Lydia walked over to the bed by the window, the one her and Clove had fought over yesterday. Clove wouldn't be needing it for a while.

Esther waked into the room last and closed the door behind her and then did the lock. She walked over to her bed and sat down on it smiling at te=he new girl before turning to Lydia,
'I thought you would leave the bed alone by now. Its really not worth the fight.' She said in her slightly high voice. Her gaze followed to the wound and something in her eys turned almost dangerous. 'After all its just a bed. Their all the same.'

Lydia:.

"Oh no..." Lydia said, her voice coming out in a mere whisper (the wound had left her weak), "This academy isn't about backin down, it's about getting what you want. I will not let that stupid girl win.

Clove felt the guards lead her down the hall way she had walked many times. She had been here and she knew what was going to happen, but it was worth it..

Esther raised her eyebrows and swang her legs,
'But it really not worth dying for. Cloves been her for almost 3 years now, do you really think anyone here can take her on?'

"Belive me," she whispered, "I'm trying."

Clove was pushed back into the usualy room and was pushed against the wall,
'Back here again?' On of the guards sighed shaking his head. 'You never learn...' He walked over and shooed the rest of the guards out of the room. ' I 'll do what I can to make it less painful.' He whispered in her ear before he brought the whip down. It cracked against her skin, and she could feel it dig in but she knew it could be worst. Thio was nice to her, he had known her mother along time ago and cared for her like a father and that was usful since he was head of punishment. And she was always here. He brought the whip down again but miss judged it and it slip hitting her cheek.
She screammed out as it cut through and the blood curdled into her mouth. But he brought it another 4 times before he stopped and shoved the whip away. He walked over with a small cloth which he slip to her before turning and walking out the door.
She smiled as she sat up and dabbed at the blood and hissed slightly as she rubbed at the slice across her face. She would stay here until tomorrow. Like usual, and if she was lucky Thio would slip her a peice of bread soon.

Esther fiddled with her ribbons slightly as a scream erupted into the room. It was a scream of shock more than pain, but definatly Cloves
'Well you aren't doing a very good job are you! Picking a fight like that. With her aim, she could have gone for you throat easily and hit.' She said her eyes wide and her legs now still

Lydia:.

Lydia sighed. "You don't get it do you? I've had to fight for everything my whole life. Food. My house. My parents left me and my brother with nothimg after they died. We had to beg. So this is just another one of those times. But this time, I'm fighting for my dignity. I will not give in!" Lydia was shaking now. Her wound had reopened, and blood was welling out. But instead of giving into the pain, she walked over to the wardrobe, and drew and 'x' in her blood on the door. "Beware!" she whispered. Lydia then staggered out I the room to the hospital.
