((Exams over, wedding survived... I can finally post.))
Ren was exhausted, he really didn't want to move any further. To his luck, Kiro was slowly recovering from the effort of producing the flames that he had during their escape and hadn't taken very many wounds; Kiro had lifted the younger boy off the ground and Ren was currently being carried on his back. Even if he wasn't running anymore, he was tired and bleeding; Ren doubted he had long before he passed out. Even though his hearing was fading in and out as he neared unconsciousness, the sound of others' thoughts was loud and clear in his head as ever. Their ideas were good ones, but they were all blood-splattered with little or no knowledge of how the outside world worked; would they really be able to get a truck or get what they needed from a mall?
However late it was, there were still people walking through the streets. Many of their thoughts were focused only on wondering why there was a huddle of blood-soaked children were stumbling around, but some were thinking about other things. Ren was struggling to filter out what was useless to him, what could be useful in the long run, and what was something he would like to know right then. Any mention of where they could get food or shelter to be exact, and it was rare of people to be thinking about things like that unfortunately. They had no money so buying anything was impossible, making stores mostly useless and a hotel or anything like that pointless. They needed to steal something, that was for sure. A lot of somethings. They just needed to find a place that wouldn't be too hard to rob...
Damn, how was I supposed to know the WestStreet mall closed at four? It was a simple thought, that a teenage girl that passed near Ren had in her mind. However trivial to her, it was gold to him. A closed mall would be their best target, and she had even given them a location. Not that Ren had any idea where West Street would be, but it was better then nothing. Lacking the strength to speak any louder then a whisper, he quietly relayed the information to Kiro, who announced it for everyone else to hear. "Apparently there's a closed mall in some place called West Street. Anyone know where that is, or how we could find out?" Kiro, like Ren, had next to no memory of anything before when he had woken up in that place. The world had changed in twenty years as well, and he was not sure what to do, at all. With luck, someone else could take the lead in this particular, unfortunate situation.
