Cheshire flicked his tail from left to right like a old grandfather clock's pendulum as he grew more and more impatient. He was laying on the branch now, using his claws to etch little pictures into the bark just to pass time. There were no new noises, except for a rather loud yell. Apparently another has ended up on this island, or they were attacked by a creature that Cheshire has not yet seen for himself. Whatever it was, it was overly-dramatic in his mind. Shortly after he concluded this, a faint cry came from the same direction. They were lost, perfect. While yanking his claw from the tree's bark, he pounced off of the branch and landed on the solid ground with a 'Thud!'. He was still on all fours, ears twitching to pick up any more sounds, and their directions. When another shout rang in his ears, Cheshire bounded towards the call. As he closed the distance between himself and the strange shouts, he began to notice that the smell was a little more aromatic than a normal humans'. He kept pursuing the unique scent anyway, first by lunging back into a tree so he could make out the shape, then confronting them. Cheshire picked out a long, thick branch to lay on; his body unfolding like a relaxed leopard's as he eyed the long, red-haired other from the branch.
He could not quite tell if it was a male of female, the stature of a male seemed to be more relevant, but the long hair and questioning clothes made him think twice. His tail soon draped down, and continued to slide from side to side as he pondered what to say. For all he knew, this seemingly harmless humanoid could flip on him at any moment. Cheshire bit his lip, claws sinking back into the bark as he grew anxious. "You smell weird." Cheshire said, his face playing an expressionless card. He eyed the red-head for awhile longer, "What are you doing here?" he paused to lick the top of his oddly large and hidden hands. "What are you?"
