Kanika walked in the halls and came across her master, Bastet.

"Ah, Kanika. Where have you been? Never mind, I need help finding my way around this place," Bastet said. Akins turned his head and stared at the servent. Bastet pet the snakes head and waited for her sevent to answer.

Light flooded the courtyard, putting the tiniest leaf or the smallest insect into focus. Sacoba scrutinized everyone, while sitting among the large palm trees and leaves of the various fragrant flowers. He inhaled deeply and rested a hand on the sleek palace cat. The birds twittered in the late-morning sun, and the palace servants hurried about their business in the upper levels of the palace.
