A booming voice echoes through your head, once again...
~My name is Laurence, last of the Elden Riders. I have chosen you, oh young one, to become one of the last riders in existance. There are only ten of you worthy, and you are one of these spoken people. Please, join me, and you will be taught many things. Magic, of dragons, and most of all; how to defeat the riggid Rothgrar. Seak the waterfall at Stony Grove. You will know the way. But beware, many perils await you on your journey...~

Corinne yelps, jumping out of bed for the fifth night in a row. Thi-this is becoming more frequent... she thought, a pang of nervousness hitting her like a brick. Pulling off her bed clothes and putting on her day garmets, Corinne peeked out of her front door. The village seemed quiet enough, except for a few screams like the one she had just given off. "Perhaps...I am not the only one.." she whispered. Turning on her heels, Corinne grabbed a few things she needed. Her pack, filled with the most items she would need. Her dagger, her sword she rarely used, and her bow and arrow. She had had enough of this. If Corinne wanted answers, she knew she had to seek out this Laurence man. To find out what was going on. "First, I should need to fetch Amma." she said quietly, thinking of her dapple gray horse. So, closing up her house, Corinne set out for the village pastures.


Luan's eyes flashed open. He made no noise, not a screech or a whimper. Scream nor gasp. It was usual, this vision. The dream, if you could call it that. Cursing under his breath, Luan knew that the plea from this Laurence was growing ever so slightly panicy. "Dragon riders, who would ever chose me.." he thought. Hearing the squeak of a door Luan peered out his window. A girl was seen walking, followed by more screams. Well, Luan was all for the adventure. And..if it got me out of the mines.... he thought, gazing down to his scarred and callused hands. My, my parents would want better for me than this. Perhaps, this Laurence, offers a new beginning... Eyes set and determined, Luan grabbed his things. His clothes, tools that may be helpful, some food, and his staff. He too set out for the unknown, instead though just waiting to see if others from the village emerged.

Do you think they have finally come to your call Laurence? a loud voice asked, gentle eyes peering from the darkness of a large hill. "Oh yes, of that I have no doubt my friend. For certain, this time they will come." Laurence answered, looking up to the creature. "As I have in structed, they should meet at Stoney Grove. You, old friend, should meet them there." A soft growl was all that could be heard, as well as the flapping of powerful wings. Of course Laurence..

Lyra wakes in a cold sweat for the first time in years. She gasps as she is startled by the dream and she jumps. That's freaky, she thinks, I've been having this dream for days now, but it never seemed to be so urgent as the voice sounded this time. "Stoney Grove..." she repeated as she got dressed into day clothes. The dream voice got more and more urgent each time, bu this time, it seemed this Laurence was pleading, begging her to come. She walked out of her house, a bag of food in hand, along with her two daggers she always carried in case of emergency, and everything that she would need. Just think, a rider. Me! She chuckled at the thought of it. She had heard of riders as extravagant people and elves, not a simple girl such as herself. She saw another boy(Luan) emerge from a house nearby. Wait, why would someone else be out here at the same time I am? she wondered. She kept walking, but something made her stop and wait for the boy. As he approached, she waved and smiled.

Luan raised his staff in his left hand, almost going into a fighting stance. Cocking his head, he saw it was only a girl. What is with me? Going after someone in my own village. But, who knows. I dont even know anyone here that well. he said to himself, lowering his weapon. He didnt want to go over to her, for the task at hand was heavy on his mind, but it would be rude not to after she had waved. Grumbling to himself and lugging his bag on his back, Luan walked over cautiously. He stopped a few feet in front of Lyra, studying her up and down. "Er, yah?" he asked, wondering why she had waved to him. "Did you need something? I am kind of in a rush.. I have to go to St...er. Forget it. Uh, I am Luan." Luan said, cautiously and wary. He didnt even know this person, why was he so nervous. Well, Laurence's request made him more on edge and nervous he supposed.

Lyra looked serious. "Would where you're going be Stoney Grove, perhaps? Cause that's where I'm going." She smiled and said, "I'm Lyra. Nice to meet you. So, anyways, I just waved because, if your going to the same place I am, then you've probably been having some of the same dreams as me too."

Luan nodded, somewhat suprised. "Uh, yah. I am going to Stoney Grove. But who said anything about dreams?" he asked, not at all thrilled as she was about the dragons. He pulled his pack higher onto his back, moving his saber to his side as a walking stick. "Well, Lyra, I am going to be going." he said nervously, backing up a few steps. "Not long until the sun rises, and if we want to get out of this village without causing a mess we had better go.." Wait, hold the phone!... He had said we. "I mean.." he stuttered, losing his usual suaveness in height of his current state of mind.
