Joe sped up until she caught up to Bella. she rolled her eyes as she met Alex head on. she looked at Ash and Alex as they talked. Alex was looking down at Bella and quietly swooped down and picked her up, covering her mouth with his hand. "dont say anything" he said in a voice like velvet. they needed to get to the institute before anyone realized they had a little more than what they set out for.

Bella bit his hand angrily and Ash laughed. He seemed to notice Joe. “You’re coming, too,” he said lightly.

"youch!" Alex yelled as he held his hand. he grumbled to himself as he rubbed his hand. "thanks" he finished with a fake smile he then rolled his eyes and looked at Joe who just nodded quietly. Alex turned and started to walk off back to the institute. girls. he shook his head.

Bella wrenched herself out of his arms and shoved her hands into her pockets. “So,” she said casually, “murdered any innocent old men lately?” She wondered if he felt unnerved by her odd eyes.

"what?" Alex asked, turning around to look at this girl. who did she think she was? Alex's hands were in his pocket where he was fiddling with stele in his pocket. he thought about Allie and what she said. he smiled inwardly. she was right but she always got mad about that kind of thing. he decided they needed to go home.

Bella crossed her arms. “Look, Mr. Arrogance,” she said. “I may not have . . .” she gestured to the odd tattoos. “But I don’t think you should go around killin’ people.” She hugged her sketchpad close to her chest.

Alex rolled his eyes. "you're going home now. where do you live?" he said pulling her off with him. he was just guessing this way seeing as she magically appeared from there. he didn't have time to deal with mundanes right now, especially annoying ones like her.

Bella ripped her arm away. “I’m not going home,” she said evenly. She tilted her head. “Your name is?” she asked.

"Alex, and yes you are" he said. he grabbed her and this time threw her over his shoulder so she couldn't get out of his grip this time. he turned to Ash. "get that mundane home to, will yah?" he said, gesturing to Joe who shrugged, not caring if she went home.

Ash smirked. “They know too much,” he said simply. “Maybe they should learn.” He blinked wide, silver eyes and pushed a hand through his hair. “They have the Sight, or maybe they’re Shadowhunters.” Bella raised an eyebrow. “What’s a mundane?” she asked. She held up a hand. “Wait. I know. I’m supposed to be ‘just a human’ eh?”
