Emily sat across the back row, next to her brother. Jaxon and her both hated Mrs. Butts, though Emily made and effort to get a good grade in all her classes Jaxon didn't. She sat silently staring at the teacher, trying hard to pay attention even though it was incredibly boring.

Jaxon leaned back in his chair, fiddling with his pencil, he couldn't wait for school to be over. Jaxon never liked school, Emily was the only on who even pushed him to show up.

Arya glanced over just in time to see Jason whisper something. She couldn't hear him, but she knew what he was doing. While the teacher paced in front of the chalk board, The coffee in her thermos froze solid. Jason had made it cold enough for the ice to steam in the warm classroom, so she wouldn't know it was frozen until too late. Arya shot Jason a look, trying to tell him to stop before they got detention. He just smirked and whispered something else. Her chalk turned to dust and formed the most perfect little pile on the floor. Everyone in the classroom seemed bewildered, but Arya wasn't sure why, because of the chalk, or the seemingly impossible color that Mrs. Butts's face was turning. Jason leaned back, looking quite pleased with himself.
