Sydney's eyes flickered from the chocolate to the boy as if she was uncertain of what to do. Hesitantly, she accepted the chocolate, inspecting it carefully before she took a tentative bite. The decadent, familiar taste definitely helped to set her nerves at ease as she attempted to mentally formulate a response. "Sydney," she said, replying to his earlier question. "Sydney Sinclair. "I was just looking for the robe shop - um, Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions, I believe," she reluctantly stated. "A mouse toy would be nice. I tried one for Amelia, but she shredded it within minutes." Killian cast a sidelong glance at Minty, tapping a finger against his thigh as he debated what he was about to say. "You know, there's an empty room at my place, now that my older siblings are off working for the Ministry..." he trailed off, uncharacteristically awkward. "Maybe you could stay with us, if it comes down to it. I'm sure my parents wouldn't mind." His mum and younger siblings were staying at the Leaky Cauldron that night to see him off to Hogwarts the next morning - he could even ask her that very day, if Minty wanted to stay with them next year.
