Sydney's eyes flickered from the chocolate to the boy as if she was uncertain of what to do. Hesitantly, she accepted the chocolate, inspecting it carefully before she took a tentative bite. The decadent, familiar taste definitely helped to set her nerves at ease as she attempted to mentally formulate a response. "Sydney," she said, replying to his earlier question. "Sydney Sinclair. I-I just transferred to Hogwarts from Ilvermorny - the wizarding school in America." Despite having been back in England for the entire summer, she still retained a little bit of an American accent. "I was just looking for the robe shop - um, Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions, I believe," she reluctantly stated. Though Sydney had severe misgivings about accepting help of any form, she didn't want to wander around the street until she found the shop - it could take hours. The petite girl adjusted her glasses as she looked up to the helpful stranger. A sudden thought pierced her consciousness, and she inwardly cringed. "Thanks," she said quickly, feeling a flustered blush creep onto her face due to the fact that she'd previously forgotten to thank him. "For the chocolate, I mean. And the offer. To help."

"A mouse toy would be nice. I tried one for Amelia, but she shredded it within minutes." Killian cast a sidelong glance at Minty, tapping a finger against his thigh as he debated what he was about to say. "You know, there's an empty room at my place, now that my older siblings are off working for the Ministry..." he trailed off, uncharacteristically awkward. "Maybe you could stay with us, if it comes down to it. I'm sure my parents wouldn't mind." His mum and younger siblings were staying at the Leaky Cauldron that night to see him off to Hogwarts the next morning - he could even ask her that very day, if Minty wanted to stay with them next year.

"Oh, yes! She makes the best robes. She'll fit you up in no time!" Kai says, popping a chocolate in his mouth. "I reccomend going to Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes! They have the best prank supplies!"

"I'm not much for pranks, but - but thanks, I'll... keep that in mind," Sydney replied awkwardly. She had to admit, her social skills were more than a bit rusty. She chewed the inside of her cheek anxiously as she looked down at all of the things she still needed to get for her school year. Like she'd thought before, robes would probably be best to get first, so she could be fitted and come to pick them up later after they'd been adjusted to her petite stature.

Killian's eyes widened when he saw Minty's new broomstick. "That's awesome!" he congratulated her, grinning. He himself was still using the old Cleansweep 7 that he'd gotten as a hand-me-down when his brother had graduated. It was a nice broom, and he kept in in a relatively good condition, but it was no Nimbus 2001, like the one Minty was holding. He pushed his personal envy aside in an effort to be happy for his friend - besides, he was a Beater; he didn't need a broom that was super-duper fast like what some of the teams' Seekers used.

Gigi sat by herself. she had her sketch pad and was doodling. Archie sat on the edge of the book watching her draw.

He walked away from Avery, assuming he was just interuppting her shopping and went to go find a store with decent bird food for Owen, after getting some bird food from a shop, he began writing his message to his parents, grabbing some of the ink he had in the small wagon, as well as some paper.

"Bye, Mr. Killer, I need to buy Eva a toy now." Minty smiled and walked away (maybe she could see Gus? Looking forward to them meeting) and started to hum, yet not knowing, sing along.

"B-bye." Sydney raised a pallid hand in farewell as the boy left. Right. Now, on to the robe shop... To her great relief, she spotted 'Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions' just a couple of shops away. She hurried through the crowds and slipped inside, eager to get fitted so she could continue checking off items on her supply list. A squat witch dressed in mauve greeted her with a friendly smile. She quickly found robes in Sydney's size and began tailoring them to her petite build with swift accuracy.

"Alright, see ya!" Killian gave a short wave as his friend left. A smug grin spread across his features when he realised that she'd called him 'Mr. Killer'. He reluctantly dragged himself to the secondhand bookshop, glancing over at 'Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor' to see his mum with Iris and Aaron getting ice cream inside. He would have loved to get some himself, but he still had to pick up his books for the school year. With a sigh, he started into the darkened shop.
