The Game Master's transmissions disconnected, immediately followed by a string of indecipherable entries which flashed before his face prior to disappearing, leaving Ulysses staring blankly into the environment. Certainly this was not the Hopeville military base, or anything within it. It was bright, clear, blanketed by trees rather than dilapidated buildings. Ulysses didn't speak to himself, but sat down on the grass, tensing at how strange it was for the ground to be so soft, and brought his knees up, laying his arms across them.

What even had just happened? One moment some lady was explaining a game to him and the next she was gone and he was dropped into some field. Of all the people that could have been dragged into his place, why had he been chosen. Claus never thought of being anything all too special, especially after his memory had returned to him in his moments before death. Was this heaven then? If this was such a place then where was his mother? Quickly, his eyepiece slid into his helmet and he looked around at the field he had been placed in. In a way it reminded him of his mother favorite field back home just outside their grandfather's house. He frowned slightly at the thought before he shook it off, knowing now wasn't the best time to think of such things. Quietly, the boy lifted his cannon arm, allowing it to reveal his real hand instead. "Is anyone here?" he called out as he lowered his arm to his side once again.
