Gender: Male.
Species: Flora Colossus.
Planet Origin: Planet X.
Personality: Groot is mainly incapable of hurting an innocent person, although he'll go along with one of Rocket's crime schemes if not to please the raccoon and to get the units. He's a sensitive flora colossus, growing flowers for little girls and giving everyone little smiles in the streets - something Rocket doesn't really approve of. Despite his adorable quirks though, Groot can become extremely violent when it comes to protecting the other guardians. Although he would prefer to avoid battle scenes, he'll happily jump into them if it means getting rid of bad people in the universe.
History: According to the wikia page, Groot was imprisoned in Kree Space which is where he became partners with Rocket. After becoming his crime buddy, he met Peter Quill and the rest of the guardians after discovering a large bounty of units over Starlord's head. After it was revealed that they all had the same intention of stopping Ronan, Groot teamed up to become one of the few guardians of the galaxy.
Family: Unknown, although the comics depict him having sibling 'saplings.'
Crush: None.
Powers/Abilities: Regeneration, growing/shaping limbs, strength, the release of golden light orbs and intelligence.
Important/Interesting Facts: His vocabulary is only limited to 'I am Groot', although Rocket seems to be the only one who can interpret what he's actually saying.
