name .|. Yeah, Jayden isn't the most common of names, I get it. But it's nice, I guess. My mom tells me that it means to be thankful, or to feel blessed. Which is what she says that she felt when I was born. She and Dad had been looking through a ton of names, thinking of things like Aaron (which eventually became my little brothers name) and Ian. They didn't really think about Jayden much. Yeah, it was a nice name, but they liked the others better. They seemed to flow nicely, and besides, Aaron was my dad's middle name. But mom tells me that the day I was born, something just... clicked. They looked at me, into my deep brown eyes, back at each other, and immediately said the same word at the same time. "Jayden". I guess it's meant to be. And honestly, I couldn't be happier that fate chose my path.
description .|. Jayden is six feet tall, on the dot, weighing in at a healthy one-hundred fifty-two pounds. He's always been just a bit taller than everybody else, and considering how he is still growing, he will most likely gain a few more inches. His father was tall, standing at six feet six inches when he was done growing, but the doctors only expect Jay to be about six foot three. Which he is fine with. It'll still make him taller than most, and with his nice weight and fitted muscles, he's just fine with being tall. Oh, yes, muscle. As you can see, Jay is obviously not on the obese side. Any extra weight that may tip his scale is all hard earned muscle that he has been training years for. He works out six days every week, only giving himself one day as a breather to do whatever he want's. But it pays off. He has rigid biceps, widened chest and a quickly growing four-pack (which is aiming towards a six). Not to mention, he has developed his calves and thighs to their full potential, yet still works harder and harder each day, just to look nice for whatever occasion might become of him. Naturally, for his age, he is in good shape - then again, many other boys are stronger than him. Which is just what keeps him going. Well, moving on, lets get to the looks of Jayden, instead of just his brawn and size. Jayden has upturned, deep brown hair, just short enough to run his fingers through, yet not so long that he looks like some sort of hobo. Some days, when the sun has gotten the best of him, his hair will be tinted with blonde, making him look younger and more playful - especially when sand has draped all across his skin, sending him shimmering with light. Jayden also has very distinctive features - a squared jaw that has every girl cooing, dimples that sends them falling to their knees, and that signature hair flip that he pulls out every so often. His smile is as big as the moon, always showing off his pearly whites as the happiness reaches his deep auburn eyes. Oh, his eyes. As mahogany as could be, deep reflective pools of emotion, yet locked behind doors of steel, so nobody can see past the mesmerizing colors. Gold and black dance in specks throughout his eyes, making them explode in brilliance towards whoever may look into them. No doubt, his eyes are unforgettable, even when he is hiding behind thick sunglasses. Other than that, Jayden has a fairly average sense of style. Loose white tees, ripped up jeans or old swim trunks, depending on the day. He loves his old sunglasses, and rarely ever leaves the house without them. Jayden does have a scar draped over his left bicep, showing a part of his history that will be described later. It is a little pink to the naked eye and raised higher than the rest of his skin, but always hide beneath a layer of clothing. He has an infinity symbol as a tattoo on his right ankle, showing honor to the lost and the forgotten, and how they live on, forevermore.
personality .|. As said, on the outside, Jay is an absolute sweetheart. He goes around, shooting off compliments, smiling that award-winning grin that sends the girls swooning, tears streaming from their eyes when his dimples make an appearance. He can woo anybody with just a few words - but all of his "sweetness" isn't just on the outside. He is truly a sweetie at heart. He will mess around with anybody that decides to love him, having not only serious relationships, but fun ones. He will play with his girlfriend, treat them right, how they should be treated. He is that boy - the one that everybody wants. To top it off, his bright blue eyes will just take you away, sweeping you up with an irresistible grin. But it's deep inside that usually offsets most. He may be a complete darling at heart, but in his soul, and in his mind, he is completely broken. There is a crack that runs straight through his heart, tipping him off, causing him to be a bit... different than most. He won't share his feelings, no matter the circumstance. He'll never, ever tell you what is wrong, most likely because he doesn't know. But we'll get into that later. For know, you just need to know the main things about him. We've already gone over how sweet he is, and how he is truly shattered at heart, but there are more points to him that you have yet to see. As he has displayed above in his sharp comments, it is obvious that Jayden can have a sharp tongue, to say the least. But, these quick remarks are always well thought out, and tend to be rather funny. This is one of his most obvious qualities, and though there are many others, you will easily learn how to love Jayden.
The first quality of Jayden has already been mentioned... multiple times. Yes, you guessed it - he's an absolute sweetheart. Anything that a girl has ever wanted is wrapped up in this boy right here. Oh, you want to know what these are? Alright, here it goes... First of all, Jay cherishes and adores. He has only had one girlfriend that was predominately serious, but he cherished her as if she were the only thing in his life. He comforted her, treated her as if she were his prized possession - which is what she was. And that is just how he plans on treating the right girl that will come into his life. He also has the trusted quality of secureness. He will always display that he is stable - never will he cheat, never will he leave her for the wrong reasons. Jay also has something very important to most women - faith. Being extremely faithful, Jay will always believe in his relationships. Be it with a friend, or even something more serious, such as a girlfriend, he will always follow his heart, trusting it to lead him in the right direction. Lastly, Jay has an amazing sense of humor. I will get further into this trait later, but to sum it up now, he always knows what to say, and the right way to say it, making him absolutely adorable, and not to mention, hilarious. He treats her right, always says the right thing, and acts completely sweet. He will do the nicest things, smiling always, protecting whoever he loves with a heart of gold. He knows how to work his way around being rude, and never insults, unless completely necessary. Everybody has always looked at him as a sweetie pie, smiling whenever he does, spreading the happiness that he always starts. If only they knew what really goes on on the inside.
As said above, Jayden has an amazing sense of humor. He is so funny, always cracking jokes - but these aren't those cocky, loser jokes about women that most men speak, rather serious, from the heart, and genuinely hilarious. He can turn every down-headed conversation into a light, happy one, putting a smile on everybody's face. But there is one downside to this - Jay is rather shy. I know, this isn't a trait you would expect of him. I mean, just look at that huge grin! But, if you look closer, you can see how he puts his head down just a little further than everybody else when he laughs, keeps his hands in his pockets as if he were hiding something. Who ever looks hard enough know that the Jay they are seeing isn't the real Jay. Sure, somewhere in his heart, he is truly a hilarious sweetheart, but that is just on the surface. Down deep, he hides himself behind a layer of quietness, shying away whenever it is his turn to speak, inching away from conversations as if he doesn't want to be heard, for he's afraid that his words might come out a bit different. But, don't think of him as constantly acting as shy as he is - he really does have a good heart. This is just a bunch of rambling words, none of them making sense, all of them thrown together to make a person that Jay really isn't. Oh, how hard it is to capture his personality. This confusing boy just gets more and more complicated than he already is.
That's just it, though. Jay is confused. Deep down, he doesn't know what he is feeling. He is so torn up inside, so ruined, he doesn't know what to do with himself. All that strong wall that he has built up is protecting is a hollow cavern, filled to the brim with darkness and confusion, winding, twisting mazes that drag you in and trap you forever. He has long fallen into the hole - perhaps the reason why he has so much guarding the outside. Maybe he doesn't want any other to join him, no matter how alone he feels. Maybe he doesn't want to drag any other into that endless torture that lives within his soul. This is just how he is - he can't help it. Yet, he doesn't know how to warn others of the mighty abyss they will encounter when meeting him, so he stays alone. He hides himself in the deepest corner, shadows rolling over his face as he runs away from everybody that might fall with him, that might be sucked into the hole that is his heart. And even though he hides this side of herself, there are days where you will see the broken side of Jayden. Somedays, he'll be so sad and so confused that he won't speak. He'll lock himself away and cry himself to sleep, watching the stars, begging them to lead him to a simpler place. But how does he get there? How does he rid of this pain? Exactly. He doesn't know. So, on the days you just so happen to catch Jay in his bad mood, he'll have let his walls down, calling off the guard dogs. You can really drive knives into him, and he won't care. He'll just look at you with those somber eyes, and automatically, you'll know that it's time to leave him alone. In reality, though, he doesn't want to be alone. He want's to be held, to be told he'll be okay someday. He wants to believe it, to close her eyes and pretend he's somewhere else. He wants to cry and cry, shed all of the tears left inside of him, hide away her feelings, run away to a little coffee house, read a simple book on a crisp day, watching the waves roll outside, waiting for his fairytale of a perfect life to finally come true. He'll wait out her feelings, pouring all of those bad emotions into that gaping hole that eats away at his soul, rebuild his barriers, and then, continue on with his broken little life.
description .|. Born on a warm day in July, Jayden is the light of his parent's eyes. With ocean blue eyes and storm-cloud grey flecks, perfect hair and flawless skin, his parents can't help but adore him. Of course, because of this, they raised him right. His family was definitely not poor, to say the least. In fact, they were far richer than most people in their lives. After hitting a stroke of luck when it came to stocks, they could afford anything that they wanted. And boy, did they spend. Jayden had everything. A huge house, giant pool, perfect sport, and not to mention - he's beautiful. Even growing up, when boys and girls had cooties, the little ladies would still bat their eyelashes at him, smiling whenever the star baseball player would enter the room. As he grew up and his career in baseball took off, he started to realize that even though he had everything, he really had nothing at all. Every girl might have wanted him because of his looks, personality, and money, he may have had the perfect sport to play and awesome hobbies, not to mention a killer house and an amazing family, but he felt like all of this was just filling a void in his heart that was slowly digging deeper and deeper into his soul everyday. So he lost himself. For about a month, Jayden ran away. He had just turned eighteen, the summer was deep en-route, and he couldn't be more anxious to get out of the house. So after clearing his plan with his father, he disappeared. Ran to the coast, rented a little house with the millions that his parents had given him, hid away for a little bit.
And then that one fateful day came. He got a frantic call from his father, screaming about how something was horribly wrong. How he had to get home. And now. So, without even packing, Jay darted home in his brand new car, turning up sand as he fled from his home, Blue in the backseat, barking in fear as tension filled the air. Another call. Change of plans. Panic filling his heart, Jay was given instructions on how to get to the nearest hospital. Scrambling, nearly killing people with the speed that he was traveling, Jay had skid to a stop in the parking lot at the emergency room before slamming shut his door. Blue had jumped out just behind him, but faithfully stayed outside of the hospital doors, whining as panic fluttered through the air. Slamming into the room, Jay had looked around. His sister, Raylee, was sitting in the corner of a bench, tears staining her face as her long, curly hair flowed around her flawless face in gentle locks. Even Aaron, his younger brother, was crying. And that was a rare sight. "What's happening?!" He had exclaimed. Neither looked up. And then, the slam of a door. His father walks into the room. Drops to his knees. And sobs. "I-it's Momma." The fourteen year old Raylee had said, sniffling heavily. "S-s-she had a seizure t-that k-k.... k-killed her." A scream slips her lips as she slid down next to Papa, knees scraping against the floor of the empty hospital room. Aaron walked out of the room and into the parking lot, his shouts barely audible. And Jay was speechless. His mother had epilepsy. And it killed her. Nay - it killed him and his family. And for that, he will never forgive himself. He didn't even say goodbye to his mother. He was too busy running away for his own sake. And now he has to live with that for the rest of his god-forsaken life.
