the f a c a d e

    supername: The Shadow
superpower(s): The Shadow's body is able to change forms into a shadow like the ones you see every day. He is also able to duplicate himself into a hologram to trick others and has the ability to control shadows.
    age they appear: Nineteen
persona: The Shadow, as viewed by the public, is much like the Joker in the Batman comics. Humorous. He has a sick sense of comedy and uses it quite frequently when facing the people. He has quite a temper when things don't go his way and he lashes out when defied.
appearance: It's much like his when not acting as a villain. Dark auburn hair that is sticking up in multiple places but looks good on him. His eyes are hidden by glasses quite often but when he removes them, he has dark gray irises. They're contacts to help disguise him.
costume: The Shadow wears a long leather coat that is black and reaches the lower of his calves. He wears black pants and a black shirt with a white tie. He likes to dress up when going out as The Shadow. He wears dark sunglasses to hide his eyes from the public and usually wears leather fingerless gloves. It's a very casual costume for a villain.
motive for heroism/villainy: He wants to get back at his parents and this caused him to go dark. He believes that all people are like his parents and that they deserve a cruel punishment. He was always treated as a weirdo who flanked to the darkness. He wants revenge.
    closest allies: -wip-
s e c r e t identity

name & nicknames: Tenebrai Abraham Soul
skills: Tenebrai, since he is a fan of darkness, can create videos with amazing horror graphics and plots. He's won quite a few movie festivals using his skill with horrors and the shadows. Sometimes, he uses his movies to kill off people he's always hated. He creates characters just like the kids from high school or his parents or any other known enemy and uses them as the weakest, quickly letting the dark suck them from the light.
    age: Twenty-three
personality: Tenebrai is a sad character. When he talks, he uses a cold tone and demands quite often. He argues frequently and uses his witty remarks to win these fights easily. Sometimes, he can be really sweet. A lot of people are surprised when he uses sentiment and his sensitive side. He's really sweet when around girls. Except when they argue back. Just because he's a villain doesn't mean he can't be kind.
looks: Tenebrai has dark auburn hair that is peaked and spiked in multiple places but it compliments his chiseled facial features. He has pale skin and full pink lips that are great for kissing.((;DD)) He has a lithe and lengthy body with slight muscles. Tenebrai has long arms and long legs that make him abnormally tall. His eyes are of the deepest oceanic blue and are distinctly shaped like almonds but a bit larger.
clothing style: He dresses much like a normal guy. A lot of nice shirts and vests. Sometimes, he constantly wears graphic t-shirts with a nice accessory like a tie or a vest. He also wears a plethora of skinny jeans. Colored and non-colored. He wears Converse, Vans, and Osiris'. Sometimes DC shoes.
history: When Tenebrai was a boy growing up, his parents would constantly beat him. He would go to school with bruises decorating his skinny and frail body, his classmates and teachers unaware of what was going on. Other than his torturous days at home, he was bullied quite often at school. Mostly for the reasons that he would hide in the dark and single himself out. He had no friends and no one to go to. So when he discovered his abilities, he used them for evil. His parents' beatings only got worse and when he tried to kill them both, he was sent away to a Mental Institution. There, they tested on him and kept him locked away. When he couldn't handle anymore things they did to him, he killed his guards and escaped, nesting in the sewers until everything died down.

Villain.

Image
[Note: all pictures belong to the people who took and/or uploaded them.]

the f a c a d e

    supername:
    Mistress Mayhem.

    superpower(s):
She's... brilliant. There has never been a mind like hers, not ever, and it's a shame she turned to villainy because it could have done so much good for the world.

    age they appear:
    Twenty-nine.

    persona:
In the eyes of the public, Mistress Mayhem is the villain they love to hate. She controls hordes of minions, most of which don't actually kill anyone. The worst they do, on the good days, is wreak havoc and set fire to things. However, every couple of years Mistress Mayhem will come up with a plan so dramatic and shocking that the city feels the need to call on the heroes. They promptly arrive, beat the woman up because she doesn't have any real powers to stop them with, and send her back to her evil lair. The dwellers of the city are safe, happy, and entertained, and the Mistress usually gets away with nothing worse than a couple of really big bruises.

    appearance:
Mistress Mayhem is tall and skinny, and not particularly well endowed in the chest department. She stands at six feet tall and every inch of her extensive height looks like she's just gone through a taffy puller. Her face is long and solemn, with a sharp nose and thin lips. Her eyes are wider-set than average, framed with short eyelashes and overshadowed by fuzzy eyebrows. Her hair is golden brown and hangs to the middle of her back. She braids a spiked strap in it so that anybody trying to yank her head back will get a nasty surprise. The Mistress has a long torso and skinny hips. Her legs are just long enough to be ridiculous and amazingly graceful at the same time. Her feet are larger than average. Her toes and fingers are long, too, not that anybody sees her toes.

    costume:
For the sake of looking like a mad genius, Mistress Mayhem has adopted several cliches. First of all, she dresses very neatly when making trouble in public. Black slacks and a semiformal dress shirt, the kind with sleeves that only go to the elbow. It's usually white but sometimes, to mix things up, she'll wear gray, blue, or purple. To finish off the outfit, she has a white lab coat that reaches to her calves. She wears nice shoes, too, the shiny kind.
When working in her lair, the Mistress sheds off the formal clothing and dons something a bit more comfortable. The dress shirt and slacks are replaced by a black tank-top and tight black knee-length shorts. She works with a lot of machinery, and she doesn't want any of her clothing getting stuck or ripped. She also coils her hair on top of her head and fastens a black hat over it, so that if she gets stuck the machinery will rip her hat and not her hair or scalp. She puts on black fingerless gloves to protect her palms from blisters and trades her shiny dress shoes for a pair of those black toe-shoe things.

    motive for heroism/villainy:
The public thinks they have the right of it. The story of Mistress Mayhem is that she was friends with the good heroes of the city when they were young, but when they came into their powers she became jealous. It's said that she stayed close to them, though, and when they needed her help most- bam! She turned on them, like the traitorous snake she is, and ran off to begin her career as a villain. This is, of course, complete poppycock.

    closest allies:
These will be determined as the roleplay progresses, I think.

s e c r e t identity

    name & nicknames:
    Janet Crumb.

    skills:
She's really clever; if she weren't such an introvert, her great sense of humor would surely make her lots of fair-weather friends.

    age:
    Twenty-nine.

    personality:
Janet Crumb is a shy little thing, preferring to spend more time with her cats than with people. She has a few close friends, but beyond that her social circle is severely lacking. She makes it a point never to go to large parties, sporting events, or any other place where there might be lots of people. What she likes best is just sitting and thinking about things, preferably with one or all of the following: a cat, a book, a cup of hot chocolate. She also tends to be pessimistic about, well, everything. She notices things nobody else sees, and it saddens her that she must be burdened with such a powerful amount of intelligence but lack the power to do anything with it. She's just a country girl from Iowa, after all. How could she possibly change the world? That's the conundrum that keeps her up late at night, when she isn't in her workshop or trying to stop her followers from wreaking havoc.

Oh, and speaking of which, don't even get her started about her minions. They never do anything right, and her well-laid plans crumble to dust in their incapable little robotic fingers. Most mornings, she doesn't even want to get out of bed. Sometimes she just wants to stop all this, to stop being an antagonist, to lock her workshop doors and never wear a lab coat again. But she can't. The heroes are nothing without something to fight, and Janet Crumb- Mistress Mayhem- is just the villain they need.

Her deepest fear is that, someday, she will be too weak to put up a good show against the heroes. When that day comes, it's more than likely that she'll end up dead in an alley somewhere. And it isn't defeat that frightens her, but the prospect of death. Her biggest pet peeve is when people sneeze without covering their mouths or noses. Another thing she hates is when her minions track blood all over her nice clean floor.

    looks:
Janet Crumb stands at six feet tall and weighs something like one hundred and fifty-five pounds. When she was little, her long arms and legs made her look like a stork and act twice as ungainly. She was in constant surprise of her own limbs. As she grew, it got better; she learned how to balance properly, and how to walk gracefully without tripping over her large feet. Her fingers would be good for piano playing, if she were ever inclined to learn. Her long hair is golden-brown and hangs to the middle of her back when not braided. It's straight, but she wishes it were curly. It's too boring as it is, in her opinion. Her blue-grey eyes are wider set than average and half-lidded more often than not, which, combined with her thick eyebrows, gives her a constant expression of boredom. Her lips are thin, and she doesn't smile very often. She's also really uncomfortable with her legs, so she never wears any pants that end above her knees. The only exception to this is when she's working on her machines, because let's face it, that workshop is stifling in the summer. It's high time she got air conditioning installed, or something.

    clothing style:
Janet prefers simple clothing, and because she isn't the richest woman in the city she buys most of it secondhand. In the summer, she wears long shorts- they're more like capris, really- brown sandals or flip flops, and t-shirts. Most of them are gray or blue, because she doesn't want to draw attention to herself by wearing loud colors. In the wintertime she wears jeans, dark blue slip-on shoes, short sleeved shirts and sweaters. Her winter shoes are scuffed and dirty, but she's very attached to them and can't bring herself to throw them out and get new ones.

    history:
Janet crumb grew up on a small farm outside Des Moines, Iowa. Her family grew corn for a living, and Janet was very happy just helping. There was a way of life in subsistence agriculture, only growing enough to eat and selling what they didn't consume at the farmer's market on Saturdays. They had a chicken coop and two big milk cows named Tilly and Millie. Janet went to public school and never really thought about much else outside her own life. That is, until she reached high school. The teachers there opened her mind to a whole universe of amazing thoughts and ideas she had never experienced before.

Her sophomore year, Janet took an environmental science class. It was meant to be a college course, but the high school Janet attended decided that they would teach it to their students as well. She was one of the only girls. The things she learned in that class outraged her, and she decided that she would have to do something about it. She would use her mind to save the world. She went through high school doing everything she could to keep her grades up. After she graduated, she was awarded- and this may seem crazy, but remember that she's brilliant- a full ride scholarship to the University of Washington, in order to further her education. Once there, she majored in environmental studies. She loved it; being the first one in her small family to go to college, being there made her feel important.

The only problem was that the place was huge. Janet was soon lost amid a sea of faces, learning, understanding, but never really interacting with anyone but her roommates. And, well, the people one shares a college dorm with aren't always the best. Janet felt so stifled by them that she spent most of her time outside, reading or doing classwork. She ate by herself, worked by herself, excelled by herself. Nothing could stop her now.

Oh, except for the fact that there's no place in the world for an environmental science major. Janet Crumb left college feeling powerful... and spent the next two years of her life learning just how cruel the world really was. She scraped to get by, renting out a scummy apartment and building things for a living. She put together little statues, making art out of whatever she could find and selling it to whoever would buy. It was enough, and she never starved, but she couldn't bring herself to go home or ask for help from her parents. They would know that she was a failure, and they would be disappointed in her, and she could never have that.

When she was twenty-six years old, Janet Crumb discovered her true calling. She was tinkering in her apartment when an electrode she had hooked up to a statuette she was building shocked through her finger and into the little metal man. To her amazement, he began to move of his own accord, displaying signs of free will. This astounded Janet to no end, and it wasn't long before she discovered how to make her little living robots on purpose. Although she was an honest young woman, Janet decided that she would be better off in the world if she used her robots to help her with things. They were small enough to fit in her shoulder bag, so the next time she visited the bank Janet took a moment to drop a few of them behind a potted plant. She had fitted one of the robots with a password cracker and orders to transfer several large sums of money from the richest accounts into a new one. Because she was bored that day, she decided that, as a joke, the new account would belong to "Mistress Mayhem".

Not long after the incident, Janet discreetly located and bought a workshop that came with a little attic above it. She promptly moved in, leaving the public wondering who this new villain could possibly be. When Janet realized that they were talking about her, she saw that she had everything she needed to change the world. Her mind, the fear of the populace, and her robot minions. A new order would rise, but like the phoenix, it would have to come from the ashes of the old. Janet Crumb was finally important, and there was no way her parents could be disappointed in her now.

    friends and family:
Her mother and father. They're subsistence farmers living near Des Moines, Iowa.
    She doesn't really have friends.

{I will be finishing this up soon}
heroine

Image

supername: The Illusionist/Illusion/Lue if you really want to shorten it.
superpower(s): Though it sounds like a power a villain would have Illusion is heroine, and of course her name tells exactly what it is she does, she can create illusions.
age they appear: she appears to be about twenty or twenty one.
    persona:
Illusion is the hesitant good guy, or girl in this case. She's always swinging between the two worlds of good and evil, never quite choosing the same one each time. She's the heroine no one can understands, because she honestly can't seem to choose a side though she ventures to the hero's more than the villains. She is the heroine everyone wonders about, wanting to know which side she chooses in the end. Good, or evil. And which side it is she chooses remains to be seen. Right now she's just playing both sides, not really trusted a huge amount by either, but her power is appreciated by both.
    appearance:
Illusion disguises her appearance quite well. She already wears contacts in her real life so when she becomes Illusion she wears a pair of contacts that turn her eyes a bright silver color. With her silver irises set under dark lashes and eyebrows her eyes retain and entrancing image that always seems to be changing. Her build remains much the same, tall and lanky but with a elegant sense of poise and movement. She changes her hairdo while she's Illusion as well. She sweeps her ebony black hair back into a french braid that falls a hands breadth below her shoulders. She always has little wisps of hair sticking out no matter how tightly she does up the braid. To keep people from trying to pull her hair she has a leather strap with spikes on it braided into her hair. It's been a bit of a nasty surprise for a few people.
    costume:
Illusion's costume is not particularly generic, or cliche. She's never been fond of those overly tight low, bust and stomach showing outfits a lot of super-heroines wear. It does have it's cliche parts of course, like knee high leather silver boots, and long silver gloves. However most of her costume is very modest. She wears a dark green shirt that leaves her shoulders bare, but comes straight across her front of her chest along the line of her collar bones, the bottom edge of it goes down to her hips. The sleeves of the shirt are long but her silver gloves go over it reaching about her elbows, and the finger tips are cut off so she can use her power. Her pants are black jeans, that do fit snugly over her legs, but that's so they won't get caught on anything. Her boots are pulled up over them as well, making the denim material bunch at her knees where the boots end. To hide her face she wears a black, masquerade styled mast with eye slits that turn down to make her seem sad. There is silver stitching in the mask depicting silver colored flames along the eye slits. Okay so maybe it is pretty cliche, but whatever, she's a super hero after all.
motive for heroism/villainy: Illusion's public reason for being unable to choose is a long, dramatic, and fake tale of death and despair. She tells it very convincingly too. What she tells them is that during an attack on the villains her only love was caught up in the action, and was killed by a hero. It was an accident of course, but the loss of him broke her heart and turned her to the other side. But the villains gave her no sympathy and now she's stuck in between. The story was just something she concocted late a night while she was bored. It does have a slight ring of truth to it in that someone close to her was killed on accident by a hero but not her 'one true love' that was put in merely for the public's sake.
closest allies: Well, considering she's not really trusted much by either side there's no one she's all that close to.

Image

name & nicknames: Zoe Alysia Silver.
skills: Zoe is an artist and a singer.
    age: Zoe is twenty four.
    personality:
Zoe is self-confident, strong, and assertive. Protective, resourceful, straight-talking, and decisive, but she can also be ego-centric and bossy. She feels she must control her environment, especially people, sometimes becoming confrontational and intimidating. She typically has problems with her temper and with allowing herself to be vulnerable. She feels she can’t be see as weak, so she never shows her tears, only anger. At her best Zoe can be self- mastering, she uses her strength to her benefit and sometimes others.
Zoe loves to be independent, making her own decisions and directing her own course. She doesn’t like to take orders from other people, and often times will play the devils advocate if some tries to. She sees herself as assertive, decisive and resourceful. Her idealized image is that she is protective and powerful. She is charismatic and exudes confidence; her poise and elegance give her an image worth following. She has a take-charge, no nonsense, can do attitude.
She has great pride in her ability to face, endure and overcome adversity, believing that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Her assertive stance and imposing presence make her a ‘force of nature’. She’ll never back down or give up on something she wants and will work until she achieves it. Zoe likes challenges and usually overcomes the kinds of obstacles that limit or deter others. She has a lust for life and wants to experience everything to the fullest. She believes that ‘too much of a good thing is almost enough’.
Zoe won't suffer fools gladly. People are occasionally intimidated by her and have a tendency to misinterpret her direct manner as insensitivity. Sometimes it is, but more often that not she just doesn't realize what she's saying can be taken in the wrong way. Her blunt manner can be very upsetting to people with more delicate feelings.
Behind her tough exterior Zoe is gentle, playful, childlike and innocent. Always one to laugh, she can see the humor even in the most painful and difficult of circumstances. She is also unusually devoted to and protective of those in her ‘inner circle,’ often secretly going without so that others will have what they need.
She’s also very sarcastic and has what she likes to call rapier wit, always ready with a derisive comment. Around her friends they are meant as teasing and playful rather than harmful. She’s also very impish and loves to make trouble. She’ll steal anything she think she can get out from under someone’s nose, but she always returns it. Usually. She'll play pranks on people she knows well, hiding their possessions or switching things around. It's all done in jest but it tends to get on a lot of people's nerves.
Despite this Zoe has a side of her that is fun loving and playful. She's always happy to laugh at a joke, and smile at something funny.

    looks:
Zoe is a tall girl, standing a few inches above the average height of most girls she knows. She's of a medium build with less pronounced curves than most girls. Her chest leaves a little to be desired, though a lot of it is just because of the type of clothing she wears. Zoe has long legs, and though they look gangly and ungainly she retains an image of elegance. With her long, pronounced neck and perfectly straight posture, she holds herself in a way that gives a sense of control and poise most people tend to lack. She's stayed fit and toned all her life, so she looks agile and ready to move as well.
Zoe's face is sharper than most, with a straight cut nose and pronounced chin giving her an angular look. She has high cheek bones, and thin, arched brows giving her an aristocratic feel. Her proud, rose petal colored lips are set firmly in her face, with the bottom lip a little fuller than the top. She has a clear completion with darkly tanned skin from being outside for long periods of time. Her eyes are a pretty sea green that seem to change to a more bluish color in the right light, and framed by thin but dark lashes.
Zoe's hair is straight for the most part, with just a small amount of wave in it near the ends of her hair. She has it cut in layers so it sits nicer on her head, and frames her face better. Her hair is long falling to the middle of her back, and usually left down. Her hair stays parted on the left and she has side bangs that sweep carelessly across her face, often obscuring her right eye from view.

    clothing style:
As for clothing Zoe wears very casual clothing, nothing particularly form fitting like most girls now a days. She prefers jeans, or jean shorts, and plain, loose fitting t-shirts in either the colors green, blue, black, or purple, all of the darker shades. She wears no makeup, having a more natural sense of beauty, and is just one of those rare girls who doesn't bother to take the time to put it on. However, she does wear a far amount of jewelry, both her ears are pierced once in the lobe and the left is pierced again in the cartilage. She wears silver studs and a silver hoop, again plain and simple. She has a black elastic choker around her neck, with a small silver pendant shaped like a crescent moon strung on it, and a matching silver chain anklet. She wears a simple silver band on the ring finger of her right hand {not the left}. As for other accessories she has a number of different hats and wears them often, switching them out every day or so. She also has several different scarfs but her favorite one would a thinly striped black and white scarf that falls to her thighs.
    history: WIP
friends and family:The only family she really has left is her younger sister Mona. She knows the young girl adores Illusion and that is what keeps her from deciding which side to join. She stays with the heroes for Mona but feels a pull towards the Villains from herself.

Villain

Image

the f a c a d e

supername: Sync(this is temporary until I can think of something better, shouldn't take too long)
superpower(s): Ridiculous speed: it's inhuman how fast this kid can move, often to extent that the naked eye can barely even see him. To be honest this is all anyone would need to terrorize a city, but fate tripped up and made him able to control sparks, and larger quantities, of electricity.
age they appear: Much to his irritation, about seventeen.
persona: To the public, Sync is a boy who just doesn't care what he does or who he hurts, doing what amuses him when he wants, no matter what it is. Unfortunately, what amuses him is pain and terror, as most have realized. Viewed as a very unstable villain indeed, there have been several attempts to stop him, and the general rule is: "If you see an astoundingly fast black-haired kid, run!" As far at the citizens as the town are concerned, Sync lives for two purposes: irritate the heroes and amuse himself.
appearance: If he could ever make himself stand still, he would seem almost normal. He's no idiot; Sync wears green contacts and usually some sort of hat to help keep him from being recognized when he isn't in 'villain mode'. He's average height for his age, standing at just barely 5'7, a bit slim but nothing that stands out. His legs are long and his torso is small, with long fingers. He looks that age that comes right before a growth spurt, meaning his face and torso are not appropriate size in comparison to the rest of him. In all honestly, he's more clumsy when being the villain he is; any elegance this boy could have had is failing to appear. At least when living his 'human' life he isn't tripping and running into walls.
costume: He's never been one for flashy colors. Capes and anything that's dangling like that is not an option for a boy who moves so fast that should it catch on something he would be ripped in half. He sticks to a simple dark green coat, slightly loose as not to hinder movement, that covers up his normal clothes and similar black pants. Black gloves with thick padding around the fingers are constantly worn, as to prevent tearing up his hands whenever he punches something at the speeds he reaches. He likes appearing almost normal, which he is anything but. Being recognized is a problem for all heroes and villains, and contacts and a hat are rarely good enough. The short scarf he wears seemingly on habit and almost constantly, wrapped around most of his lower face, he deems to hide who he is well enough.
motive for heroism/villainy: Boredom. A normal life is too simple for him, and there's no place in normal society for a boy who moves as fast as he does. The other option would be being a hero, and that is not an option to him, not when screams and mayhem entertain him so.
closest allies: To be added as the RP moves on
s e c r e t identity

name & nicknames: Kiro Xavier Briht. Most call him Xavier, it's harder to trip up pronouncing.
skills: Skills? What skills? During his normal side of life, Kiro is an average, struggling student, with no real talents. Obviously he's a rising star on various track teams, but he holds himself back to prevent being recognized.
age: Seventeen, just waiting to be a legal adult.
personality: Xavier is a very odd boy indeed. He's not emotionally stable, prone to laughing one minute and attacking the nearest person the next. Generally his three states of mind can be classified as 'overly-happy', 'ready-to-rip-something-apart-with his-bare-hands', and 'incredibly bored'. There is little space in between these three states of mind, and Kiro knows no such thing as 'shades of gray'. The triggers are simple; bored is his default mode, overly-happy is what happens when he sees a flower or is talking to someone, ready-to-kill is when he his angered, even just slightly.

First mode, bored. When he's alone or with nothing to do, Kiro is left tapping at a desk or whatever he happens to be near with a faraway, impatient expression. His hands will be shaking ever-so-slightly, and he'll jump at the slightest sound. Most shake when something stressful is happening, Kiro is the opposite; when there isn't something to make his pulse speed up or make him worry, he's a jumpy wreck. And he's left craving something big, plans that will surely cause chaos flying around his mind, all behind a bored expression. Sadness, gratitude, peacefulness; these are all but nonexistent. When he should be feeling any of those, he's bored. Thankfully, small things distract him from his urge to cause mayhem.

Xavier smiles with shocking ease, laughing at very small things. These are his second state of mind, where everything is a reason to happy. A flower, a small joke, it's all the same to him. He'll be beaming, but the constant grin and elaborate exclamations frequently give the air of being fake, or even mocking. Except there's one small issue with that assumption; it's wrong. Like said, Kiro is a very odd child indeed. He's as easily amused as he is bored. When in this bizarrely happy state of mind, he has trouble recognizing when someone is mocking him or depressed; he seems to assume that everyone else is in as good a mood as he is. However, easily amused and easily bored, he is similarly easily angered.

Xavier's last state of mind is always considered his worst. All it takes is recognizing a small tease, accidentally running into him, or just bad luck or bad weather to make him snap. When Kiro snaps, he doesn't calm down. It's incredibly hard to make him forget his anger, no matter how trivial the cause may be. In this state he doesn't think straight, his sole purpose becoming to injure/destroy whoever/whatever it is that irritated him. Common sense is lost in his mind, reduced to the intelligence of a very young child. Looking ahead and observing are foreign concepts when his mind is filled with anger. Xavier usually only returns to his bored or happy states of mind, which are highly preferable to those around him, once he has successfully gotten rid of what angered him in the first place, or he was soundly beaten by whoever it was, if it was a person anyways. Usually defeat makes him calm down, but not always.

Thankfully for the sake of most, Kiro's most common mood is 'unnecessarily happy'. Because when he's angry, things usually are destroyed and/or die. When he's bored, he returns to being the villain he is and causes chaos. However, now that the fights between heroes and villains are just show, boredom is eating at him worse then ever. He's craving something that will take his attention away from the void of nothing to do. So far, that has not appeared, though he's hoping the new, strange events will prove to be interesting.
looks: To be frank, he doesn't look that different from when he's all dressed up for the usual fights between him and the other 'evil' people against the heroes. At that awkward stage before a growth spurt, his limbs are off proportion; his legs and hands are long and large respectively, while his face and torso have let to grow. His black hair is fluffy and refuses to flatten down however he tries, and he's often to cut it and settles for tying it back into a short inch or two ponytail. Always messy, it helps to shadow his face. His eyes are dark green, but do not think to find emotion in them even when his hair isn't covering them; his eyes reflect only two things, and those are boredom and happiness. Neither of which tell much. His face reflects little of what he's thinking, always filled with an uninterested expression, a grin, or pure rage. Anything else is safely hidden.
clothing style: Simple as can be. He never wears anything that could hinder movement, sticking to slightly loose clothing of dark colors. Simple sneakers are all he wears as footwear, he either wears that or goes barefoot. Anything that would wear down at the speeds he hits is avoided, making his shoes the most expensive things he wears; one color, plain tee-shirts and shorts bought at a Dollar Store or similar places are hardly much. When the weather turns cold, the only change is that the short clothes become long-sleeved and reach to his ankles, and he wears a windbreaker.
history: Even before he discovered that he could move faster then any human and that sparks would move and shape as he willed them, Xavier was destined to never be normal. The mood-swings he had were not normal to the average human. His parents, who had been lucky to have three other, more stable, children always viewed him one word in their minds: different. And Kiro could tell that they thought that, ever since the doctor the family went to told them that his mind was not stable and they were just going to have to accept that, that it wasn't his fault anyways.
His family was neither poor nor rich, his father a researcher about various lung diseases and his mother a psychiatrist. With four mouths to feed, they weren't the type to go on cruises through oceans. But it was not a deprived life, and most children would have been happy with it. The problem was that Kiro was bored. Life just had no interest for him, everything was the same and he didn't care about all of it. It was a few days after his ninth birthday that, while running from a friendly Golden Retriever that he thought was going to hurt him that suddenly he was on the other side of the field outside his home. He simply thought he had spaced out, but when he was about to run home, it took just a second to be at the door. After a bit more testing, he realized the obvious truth; he was ridiculously fast, and it wasn't that hard to control. This, he realized, was they key to escaping boredom. His parents, who never paid him much attention anyways, never seemed to realize that he would leave for hours at a time, or that often he would show up a good ways away from where he had been a minute ago. Causing chaos among people, it was his calling, he realized quickly.
It was great fun, watching the humans panic, and fighting against heroes? That made it all the more fun. After awhile, leaving for hours or even days at a time to wreak mayhem, his parents finally realized he was ditching school and running away for long periods of time. So he was sent off to a boarding school on the edge of the town, which they thought would help contain him. It made everything easier; anytime he wasn't supposed to be in class he could run off and do as he pleased. So the reputation of 'Sync', a name he put together when daydreaming in English class, soared. But if other villains needed help in the middle of the day? Sorry, he was in math.
He's a younger one, but the years he's seen have been enough to make him realize; nothing was changing. The showy fights with heroes were the same as always, and the boredom came again. Xavier is left craving something new, hoping something great will come along. He's still in boarding school, once again being a younger one, and still sneaks away just about every day to his usual business, but he's uninterested.
friends and family: Friends to be edited in, and his family(parents, three siblings) aren't people Kiro cares about.

((Apologies everyone, but from tomorrow I will be away on holiday, so I will be unable to forsee the proceedings of this roleplay for a short amount of time. I appreciate this was probably the worst time ever to start a roleplay (yes I am a forgetful dork) but hopefuly you will all be able to a) continue/ b) start without me. I will shortly be electing a mini-mod and giving them an outline of how the roleplay should basically roll on so that my absence doesn't impede the roleplay at all.
I'll be away from the 4th of May till the 12th of May.
Thanks for your understanding, a mini-mod will be elected shortly. Regards, Mags c:

EDIT: Wildmagic_warrior is officially my mini-mod, so she'll be taking over until I get back. Thanks for your understanding everyone, have fun roleplaying :D))

[Hey, everyone! Magique has designated me as her minimod while she's gone on vacation. We still need one hero before we can start, but I think I know someone who'll be willing to fill the spot. It's still first-come, first-serve, though, so everyone try to get that hole filled as quickly as possible.]

(Could I please reserve the last hero spot. I would like to reserve it as a female, with the name 'McKay', as her normal name, as I need to think of a supername for her still. Oh and I probably won't be able to get the forms up until Wednesday at the latest, as I am going on a short two day family trip. I just really like the RolePlay and was hoping you could reserve a spot for me. If not, I understand, though. And sorry if it is an inconvience.
Thank You in Advance,
-Free)

[We actually need a male character, to round it out. If you can still fill the slot, that would be great, but I understand if you can't play a guy.]
