It was a warm, sunny day with a slight breeze. It was a perfect day for the first day of school. Artri rolled her eyes as Zoe insisted on trying a new kind of sushi; called,"Devil's Fish." She knew this wasn't going to end well for her. "I'll go get the throat salve," she huffed, as Zoe ran around madly. "When will she ever learn?" She walked into her garden, then into her shed. "Cough, indigestion, insomnia, ah ha! Here it is." As she walked past the dorms, she saw Freming as he waved at her. "Hey, Hawknose! Looking as good as today is." Artri hissed a bared her teeth. "Shut up, Freming. You know no one flirts with me and gets away with it." Freming laughed as he walked up to the snarling Artri. "Just kidding, girl. Mind if I join you going to school." Artri sighed. She always treated him like a little brother. Maybe too much, she thought. "Sure, man. Just going to heal Zoe's flaming tongue after eating,"Devil's Fish" sushi." Freming starting bending over with laughter. "Man, I wish I could've seen her face when she ate that! That's hilarious!"Artri made a feeble smile. "I'm just anxious to meet all the new students that are going to show up today." Freming suddenly looked down-cast. "I'm NOT ready for school to start. My dad, having to spend each day with him? Complete torture." Artri sent him a silent glare, reminding him of their talks. Freming sighed. "I know, I know. I won't bring it up again." Things got relaxed finally when, laughing, Artri made Zoe drink the nasty-smelling salve.
