It's Only Forever: A Labyrinth Role-Playing Game

Ari started to walk out of Jacob's room. As she did, she said,

"I wish the Goblins would come and take you away."

She turned off the lights.

"Right now."

Jacob suddenly stopped crying. Ari walked back into his room and flipped the light switch. Nothing happened.

"Jacob?"

She took another step forward.

"Jacob, are you alright? Why aren't you crying?"

There was something moving in Jacob's crib. Ari walked up to it, grabbed the blanket, and yanked it back. There was nothing there. Ari looked around frantically. There were noises coming from everywhere, thunder crashing, lightning flashing, an owl pounded at the window.

[Moondancer]

Jareth grinned triumphantly as the girl said the words needed for them to take the child away. He gestured for a few goblins to follow him before changing into his preferred animal form, a tawny-coloured owl, and transporting himself to the girls house, banging his wings against the window.

The window burst open and the owl flew into Jacob's room. Ari covered her face with her hands.

[Moondancer]

Jareth swooped into the room, flying just above the girl's head. Above the sounds of the storm, he could hear the goblins wreaking havoc around the room. The child would be gone by now, already in the castle.

When Ari uncovered her eyes, a strangely dressed man with long hair was standing in front of her.

"You're him, aren't you? You're the Goblin King. I want my brother back, if it's all the same."

[Moondancer]

Jareth smiled, almost maliciously, as he stood just in front of the window. The goblins had gone now, and the room seemed strangely silent. "What's said is said"

Ari looked frustrated.

"But, I didn't mean it!"

[Moondancer]

Jareth raised an eyebrow, still smiling. "Oh, you didn't?"

"Please, where is he?"

Ari was getting worried. She didn't like this man; he scared her.
