I don't really know what character I'm most like. I'd like to be an elf, but to be honest I'm most like a hobbit. I like a quiet, simply led and happy life, with nothing too unexpected. But I do like a good 'adventure' every now and then; I'm sure I wouldn't be very well respected in Hobbiton at all, always running off to explore and such. But I appreciate food and a home to go back to, and of course the pure beauty of the Shire and the friendly community and all <33 I was always drawn to nature at heart, and the simple pleasures in life. If you think about it, there's so much wisdom in The Shire; giving presents instead of recieving, living simply without too much that's fancy, growing your own food, etc. I just, love Tolkien <333
@poler; Does iTunes have the extended version? I hope so, some of the extras are really beautiful <3 But, of course, what can I say, we're talking about Howard Shore here ^^ And that's another reason why I really respect Eowyn and Tolkien c: Because he kind of went against the grain of what was expected for society with her then, or at least from what I know of it, you know what I mean? In Tolkien there's a little bit for anyone, even, I suppose, a bit of romance here and there.
And Poler (do you mind if I capitalize?) yes. Yesyesyes. Those are my friends! I mean, most of them, regrettably, haven't even seen the Avengers. But those who do all like Thor and Captain America because they're 'hot'. And maybe they are. But does that have to be the reason you like them the most out of all characters? No. No, no, no. Sure even I think Thor is attractive, but he's also vain, and arrogant. So no. Poler, this. It's one of my pet peeves too ^^ Isn't that part of what a fangirl is, though? Liking them for their looks or whatever, not for their personality? So you see what I mean.
And you have no idea how much I'm against shipping. I mean, it's fine for this and that, not that I'd do it anyways, but there are some people who take it really seriously. Whereas I prefer to stay true to the author's word, and with an author like Tolkien I can't imagine ever going against what he said to be the way it is. If that even makes sense.
I don't mean to offend anyone about anything in this post ^^ It's just my own opinion.
