Alright, here's the latest test draft! (Yes, I'm still working on it, hush.) I decided to nix the villain test until a later point in time. Each question is one point for now.
Please note that if a question says, "For no reason", and it takes you more than five seconds to think of a reason, or you make one up on the spot, then there is no reason, and you can mark it.
ORIGINS
Was your character born outside of the Clans?
Did someone of authority personally invite them into the Clan?
-For no practical reason? ("Most of our Clan has died from sickness, and we need more warriors" is practical. "This cat often gazes into our territory" is not.)
-Does the leader/deputy/medicine cat develop a close bond with them?
-Are they said to resemble a great leader/other figure from the past?
Did they join the Clan:
-After a family member died? (Add one point for each family member)
-They were abandoned near the territory?
-When they were young?
-Were they bullied for this?
---Relentlessly, even by older and more mature warriors?
-----Especially by older warriors?
-----Do the older cats encourage the bullying?
---Did no one believe them when they tried to report it?
-To escape some kind of evil? (Humans, dogs, rogues, etc.)
Do they eventually earn enough respect to become deputy?
---Do they make it to leader position?
---Does no one protest this?
Are they half-Clan? If so:
-Part XClan, part YClan?
---With some ZClan thrown in?
-Part rogue?
-Part loner?
-Part kittypet?
---Is the kittypet blood to excuse colors that do not show up in the wild?
Did their mother die when they were born or very, very young?
-Did they manage to survive without being taken care of until someone found them?
---When they were less than or around three weeks old?
Were they the only one of their siblings to survive?
-In a Clan that doesn't regularly experience kit loss?
-Did the rest of their siblings get sick and die?
---Did the mother also die of this sickness?
-----Did they not get sick at all, or if they did, it was quickly cured?
-----Did they just barely survive the illness?
Are they the only surviving member of their family?
-At a young age?
Were more than one of their family members/friends/love interests killed in the same event or very closely together? (Add a point for each one.)
-And it wasn't a war or unstoppable sickness?
-Did your character barely survive?
---And received no scars or lasting physical trauma for it?
Were they abandoned, abused, or neglected by their family?
-Even when they were born in a Clan?
-And no one intervened?
-Were they bullied by their siblings or parents?
---For being the weakest in the litter?
---For no real reason?
When they became an apprentice:
-Did they suddenly become skilled at something?
---More skilled than other, more experienced cats?
---Did they show this skill from kithood?
APPEARANCE AND GENETICS
Are they pointed (as in, colored like a Siamese cat)?
-And have no kittypet ancestry?
Are they white with blue eyes, but aren't deaf?
If they have blue eyes:
-Are they black?
-Are they a darker color (dark brown, dark grey)?
-Would you describe the blue as icy?
-Would you describe it as a deep blue?
Are the eyes a purple color?
Are the eyes differently colored?
-And your character isn't completely or mostly white?
-Do these two different colored eyes represent a light and dark side of the character?
Are they a tortoiseshell or calico male?
-And suffer no disabilities for this? (Sterility, weak immune system, etc.)
Does your character have any markings (birth marks, scars, tabby stripes etc.) that form a pattern? (For example, a birth mark shaped like a crescent moon, or two scars overlapping to create an X.)
-Is it on their forehead?
-Their chest?
Are they a "white tabby"? (Not a pale grey, a white cat with tabby markings - bonus point if the stripes are black.)
If they are white, are one or more of their feet differently colored?
-And they have no other colored markings?
Are they considered to be very attractive?
-By everyone, even neighboring Clans?
-Is their appearance based on what you find pretty in a cat, and not the Clan's standards?
-And do they wish they weren’t so beautiful, or that someone ‘would love them for who they really are’?
Is their fur commonly described as sleek, shiny, soft, or silky?
-Do they somehow always keep their fur clean without excessive grooming?
---If they groom excessively, does their fur not suffer for it?
If they have long fur, does it never get in the way of their activities?
Are they rather strange looking compared to their Clanmates? (A long-haired cat amongst short-haired, lanky amongst stout, big amongst little, etc)
---With no outside ancestry?
-----Are they still considered attractive despite this?
-------Because of this?
Do they have very few or no scars?
-Despite having fought in at least one battle?
-Despite being an older warrior?
-Is the scar considered to be attractive?
Do they have an overabundance of scars, despite being young?
-And not having been in many battles?
-Are they all from one event?
-Are they still considered attractive?
PERSONALITY
When they lose a loved one:
-Does it affect them for life?
---To the point of changing their personality?
-Do they refuse to love anyone else?
-Do they only severely grieve for direct family members, close friends, and love interests?
---Did it never occur to you that they should be just as distraught over the deaths of their other Clanmates?
-Did they feel responsible for the death/felt like they could have stopped it?
---Even when it wasn't their fault?
---Even when they were just a kit when it happened?
---Even when there's no possible way they could have prevented it?
---Was it actually their fault?
-----Did they deliberately get the cat killed?
-------And yet they still angst over it?
-Do they stop all activity and mourn for more than a few days?
-Do they leave the Clan after this event?
Are they overly obsessed with the warrior code?
-To the point of freaking out if even a tiny rule is bent?
Conversely, are they apathetic to the code?
-Do they regularly break the rules, such as leaving the border or eating before feeding the elders?
---And are never caught or punished for this?
---Or are overly punished for this?
Do they cause fights/bully cats/create bad situations often?
-Deliberately?
-To manipulate others?
-For no reason?
-And get away with it regularly?
Are they famous throughout the area, and in other Clans?
-For their personality?
-For their looks?
-For their skills in X?
-Are cats from other Clans attracted to them?
OPPOSITION
Do some cats go out of their way to cause trouble for yours?
-Because of their heritage?
-Because they're jealous of your cat?
-For no discernible reason?
When your character has a rival or someone who hates them:
-Is the hate pointless?
-Is your character morally better than their rival?
-Is the rival evil or bloodthirsty?
-Is it over a love interest?
---Is your character clearly the better choice, but the rival is still considered competition?
---Is the rival ruthlessly annoying the love interest until they give in to them?
-----Does your character rescue the love interest from the rival?
-------Is that when they begin their relationship/admit their love for each other?
-------Does the love interest fall for your cat because of this rescue?
-Does everyone side with your character?
-Does everyone side against your character?
---For no reason?
---Did the rival manipulate everyone into hating your character?
If your cat experiences prejudice due to their history or blood:
-Do other cats constantly remind them of their ancestry?
-Do they have to prove themselves over and over?
-Are the cats who give them the hardest time never punished?
---Does one of them fall in love with your character?
PROPHECIES AND THE AFTERLIFE
Does your character often recieve dreams that predict the future?
Do they have an unusually strong connection with StarClan or the Dark Forest?
-Despite not being a leader or medicine cat?
-Do they regularly interact with dead cats?
-Do they regularly recieve direct prophecies?
---Do the prophecies revolve around them or someone related to them?
Are they or will they become part of a prophecy?
-Will they be the main role?
---The only role?
Are they destined to save a Clan?
-More than one Clan?
-All of the Clans?
Are they destined to defeat a great evil?
-Are they targeted by the villain for this reason?
---Is the villain unaware of the prophecy and just targeting them for no reason?
-Are they destined to defeat the villain with no outside help?
-Do they know about the prophecy?
---Did their personality change because of this knowledge?
NAMES
Is their prefix something negative or vulgar (Blood-, Bone-, Death-, etc)?
-Were they given this prefix at birth?
-Is there a tragic reason in your character's backstory why they received this prefix?
Is their prefix something poetic and pretty?
-For no reason, other than to match with their suffix?
-Does their entire name have nothing to do with their appearance, personality or skills?
Are they named after something they would have no way of knowing about?
-Because of their eye color? (Emerald- for green eyes, for example)
-Did their parent hear about it from a traveling stranger?
Are they named Brokenheart at any point of their life?
-Hollow____, in reference to their personality, emotions or mind?
SKILLS
Is your character an expert at any skill? (Hunting, fighting, sneaking, etc.)
-Are they the best in the entire clan?
---In all the clans?
---Are they the best at multiple skills? (The best fighter and runner in the clan.)
Are they more skilled than someone in their age group probably should be? (A kit being able to hunt for themselves, an apprentice easily defeating a senior warrior in battle.)
-Does the character possess skills that someone in their clan is unlikely to know? (Like a cat in WindClan knowing how to climb trees.)
Are they so skilled in something, it might as well be a magic power?
-Do they actually have a magic power? (Five points. Add five points right now. I don't care. Do it.)
Does your cat never fail at something? (Never lose a fight, never miss a mouse, never stumble when climbing, etc.)
-Even when they rightly should?
-Even when going up against someone more skilled than them?
RANK
If your character is a medicine cat:
-Are they immensely talented?
---So much so that they learned everything they needed to in a few months?
-Are they in forbidden love?
-Do they love kits?
---Want some of their own?
-----Eventually have some of their own?
-------And aren't punished for it?
-Are they beautiful?
-Are they intelligent?
-Do other cats find them attractive enough to flirt with?
-Do they flirt with other cats regularly?
---And receive no punishment for it?
If they're a leader or deputy:
-Did they have connections that got them into that position, even though they aren't qualified for it? (Family, personal bias, spiting another cat, etc.)
---Do they become a competent leader/deputy anyways?
-Is their personality unfit for deputy-hood/leadership? (Bullying, rude, refuses to listen to authority, etc.)
---And they're never removed from their position?
-Are they destined or incredibly likely to be one of, if not the best leader for generations to come?
---For no apparent reason other than "main character"?
-Were they competing with another cat for deputy-hood?
---Was the other cat evil or at least bad news?
-----Did the previous leader (or, for that matter, anyone) somehow not pick up on this?
-----Were they only evil or bad around your character?
---Did your cat do something terrible to win their position? (Drive their kits into a snowstorm and kill one of them, for example *clears throat*)
-----Were they never found out?
-----Does this not make them a bad person?
-----Do you consider it justified?
-------For no reason other than "the other cat was evil"?
-Are they the "least evil" or "best" of the leaders in other Clans?
---Are all the other leaders spiteful to yours for no reason, or because they're jealous?
DETRACTORS
Are they ugly?
-Really ugly (I don't mean Brightheart-ugly, I mean actually hideous)?
Do they have a disability, with nothing to compensate for it?
Are they physically weak, with nothing to compensate for it?
Are they dumber or much slower to learn than most of their Clanmates?
Are they less talented than most of their Clanmates?
Would someone other than you describe them as "average"?
Do they have a bad temper that gets them in plenty of trouble?
Are they prejudiced?
-Enough that they scorn kittens who aren't full-blooded Clan members, even though it isn't their fault?
Have they ever been shallow, cruel, cowardly or spiteful for an excessively petty reason?
Do they have more than one negative trait? (Minus one point for each fault. And no, being "too nice" or "too beautiful" doesn't count.)
Are they rightfully self-concious?
-Do they think they would make a better kittypet than a warrior?
---Are they right?
Do other characters resent yours for reasons other than jealousy and shallow judgement?
-Do they deserve this resentment?
Are they a coward?
Do they lose fights more often than win them?
If they're a leader, are they regularly challenged by their Clanmates?
-If they were made a leader young, are they inexperienced and untalented?
---Do they rely on the medicine cat and deputy to help them lead the Clan better?
---Did they actually step down from their position because they were so bad at it?
Are they bad at their job, whether it's as a medicine cat, leader or deputy?
Does the stress of their high position get to them often?
Do they allow bias to sway their judgement?
If they're immensely talented in one aspect, does their overspecialization cripple them in others? (For example, if they're a vastly skilled medicine cat, but at the cost of being incompetent in fighting and hunting.)
-Do they never try to improve in those other aspects?
---Or they do try hard, and not get any better?
