We went hiking and we saw this amazing place. It was a quarry and this person had built these amazing thrones, there is even a Middle Earth language written on one of them. My dad discovered it 15 years ago and whoever is building it is still working on it. The rocks are massive and they are perfectly balanced and do not move. It is on the edge of a view and it feels like you are king/queen of all you see. There are hobbit sized tables and chairs and a staircase. There are also elaborate staircases that lead up the thrones.

DANG THATS AWESOME

I know!!! It is amazing!

Yep. I actually have some, I will see if I can find any without pics of my family in them.

Give me a sec. Lol.

I play LotRO every once in a while, especially if I'm grasping in desperation for any possible Middle-Earth inspiration I can find. It's quite the fun game, I must say! I especially love riding across the plains of Rohan... <3
My Hobbit OC, Peppermint, is loosely based off of a character I play on there; or at least, that's where the idea of her as a character originated. c:

W-w-wait! What is this, a LOTR roleplay game? I'm very interested. How much does it cost, is it a download, MMORPG?

Do you know whats cool? This person is still building it. I had to lift one of the rocks to adjust it and I just have to say. That guy has to be built like a rock. The rock I moved was maybe the size of a plate. And he has to have friends. Those rocks are...wow.

I will get a few more.

      Image- A little chair.
      Image- Another chair.

So...Lesson learned. Next time we go I need to get more pics without family...

Image- This overhang...Dad said it was cool. I didn't actually see it. The staircase was wobbaly close to the end and the staircase ran out. So I went back up and Dad wanted me to drop my camera to him. I have much trust in that man. xD
Anyways, I dropped it and it caught on this ledge by less then an inch. Dad and I laughed then I found a stick and poked it over the edge. Dad said it was like a cave with a couch type thing.

      Image

So, these are all the pictures I have without family. Next time I will try and get more pics for y'all.

I've watched a couple more times and was loaned the bluray version

Smaug wasn't red enough in my opinion, he seemed a bit too pinky, rather than red
A couple moments just pulled me out of the movie completely and had me either going that is physically impossible, or I don't think that happened in the book.

Though I did finally manage to spot myself in the movie!!!!
hopefully I'll be able to see myself more in the extended version,
maybe even spot myself in movie 3 as well.

And as for my opinion on the 3rd Hobbit movie's title change, from "There and Back Again" to "The Battle of the Five Armies":
I was a bit disappointed at first, to say the least, but it does seem the more suiting title. Don't clench your fists and drag your heels in the dust just yet! Allow me to explain. Though the title "There and Back Again" sounds more appropriate to the closing film of a series, once you step back and view all three titles "There and Back Again" does sound a bit misplaced. Taken in context, this title could really encompass the whole 3 movies from start to finish. Come to think of it, Tolkien originally intended "There and Back Again" as the title of Bilbo's entire adventure, not just the ending of it.
Some would argue that the title "The Battle of the Five Armies" sounds too narrowed-down in relation to the various happenings that will take place in the movie. I can see where you're coming from there. I thought this at first too. However, I cannot think of a more suiting title for this film. The film series is about to climax. Although some might say that Smaug's death is a key event, and it very well is, we've already dubbed the second film as "The Desolation of Smaug". Other key events? There's Lake-Town and her people... the Lonely Mountain's treasure... the Arkenstone... indeed. But, in my opinion, those things aren't principle enough to be the main focus of the movie's title. The battle of the five armies is where the clouds burst, where tragedy strikes, and where tension is eventually resolved. Just take into thought all of what happens during and after the battle of the five armies. It's more than just a silly little battle and it has a great effect on each of the Middle-Earth races involved. Especially for the dwarves.
It's also easily recognizable for those who have read the books, just as the past two movie titles have been. You really don't want to go with some elaborate movie title that is vague or misleading. (Not that "There and Back Again" was all that bad, but if somebody was to suggest an entirely different title I would argue this point.)
With all that taken into account, I think "The Battle of the Five Armies" is a fitting title.
      Any additional thoughts?
