Typical fan-made Sue:

Image/Description:
Sleek, lithe, black she-cat with a purple and blue sheen on her fur, pale, silvery, thin stripes, light lilac colored eyes, small paws, a long, thick, fluffy tail, a thin pelt, a small but strong nose, erect, notched ears, pearly silver streaks in her front left paw, violet-shaded, silvery, crescent moon marking on her forehead that glows white in the darkness, bright silver pinpricks on both flanks that twinkle like stars, and a bluish, diamond-spade shaped marking on her front left paw pad.

Name:
Diamondmoon
Gender:
She-cat

Clan:
Thunderclan

Rank:
Deputy

Personality/Skills:
She's great at fighting, and likes to trick her opponents by being fast and smart, but she can also hit hard. She likes making up her own new battle moves, easily defeating her foes which have never seen them before. She's also very sleathy, and a great, quick hunter. Her hind legs are strong so she can leap up at birds, which are her favorite prey to catch. She enjoys helping others and will sacrifice herself in a heartbeat. She cares deeply about everyone around her, and would starve to see her clan survive. She never lies and is always honest to her death, and would never betray her beloved Thunderclan.

Important Notes:
-She's prophecized by Starclan to save all four clans. The prophecy is:
When the stars align
The one will come
To save all the clans as we know it
Gifted by the moon
Blessed by the stars
She'll find her own path through the dark
When the stars align
She'll hit her 24th moon
And the power of the stars will lend her
9 lives to protect
And the serve the clans
To evade their dark future evermore
-Her mother and father both died in a fire when she was only an apprentice
-her younger littermate, Lightkit, was killed by a hungry badger in the middle of the night after the forest fire. Diamondpaw at that time was still clever, and beat the badger with a special hind kick move, but her sister still perished
-the prophecy will be complete when she becomes leader

Oh, my God, for a second I thought you had sent me a cat to review and I was like "noOOO I JUST FINISHED"

But the fact that this is incredibly accurate almost hurts. You think you're making a joke, but I've reviewed characters EXACTLY LIKE THIS.

I still roleplay Warriors every now and then, the concept is a lot of fun when you get the right people on board. I'd be lying to say I'd never made a sue before, when I was a lot younger, but I try to avoid making 'em nowadays.

Though on the topic of that little short story... I'd love for that to happen. So much. I guess the later books would be completely de-railed without a Tigerstar, but really, that's not a big price to pay.

I was actually thinking of making a story with a realistic clan where they meet a cliche/Mary sue clan xD
Of course, in terms of realistic I mean with the same concept but not as much drama or perfect cats/Tigerstar clones
And every experienced RPer would lie about never making a mary sue even once

Hmm... please give me a link if you end up writing that, I'd love to read it. xD
I've been roleplaying for a few years, though I won't say I'm that great at it. But I'm not terrible, I guess? At least I don't make sues anymore, so... progress?

I've so far got the basics. The leader of the cliche clan is a ginger cat with bright green eyes, his mate a slender white she-cat with blue eyes. They name any evil-looking cats evil names and evil-looking cats grow up evil.

I be joking Arcaii!

I am very curious about the Mary Sue test though!
Having serious issues viewing dark colours at the moment. May delay replys to pms. Sorry.

The Leopard Pups
Grey, Black and White. The world revolves and we go with it. Twisting in this everlasting monotony, eyes of green and gold, watching and waiting for our chance, our time. Cytor, Liliana, Serenade, Bayonet, the Prankster, the sweet one, the mother and the lost soul. There birth was a lost event, one in a million, two wandering souls met in the shadows, and these four were created. There pups are the stuff of legend, one lost there sight, one lost there path, one lost there love and the other? The other lost his family, everyone they cared about. He lost his family.

Oh, you scamp.

I wanted to make it a checkbox thing, but I'm HTML-blind, so it'll probably just be a series of questions with points on them (I hate those so much, but there ain't much I can do...).

Alright, here's some of the questions for the test (which I have now chosen to call "The Warrior Cats Fan-Character Cliche Test", since that's more accurate). Points have not been assigned yet, but let me know what you think!

Was your character born outside of the Clans?
Did they join the Clan:
-After a family member died? (Add one point for each family member)
-They were abandoned near the territory?
-When they were young?
-Were they bullied for this?
---Relentlessly, even by older and more mature warriors?
-----Especially by older warriors?
-Do they eventually earn enough respect to become deputy?
---Do they make it to leader position?
---Does no one protest this?

When they lose a loved one:
-Does it affect them for life?
---To the point of changing their personality?
-Do they refuse to love anyone else?
-Do they only severely grieve for direct family members and love interests?
---Did it never occur to you that they should be just as distraught over the deaths of their other Clanmates?
-Did they feel responsible for the death/felt like they could have stopped it?
---Even when it wasn't their fault?
---Even when they were just a kit when it happened?
---Was it actually their fault?
-----Did they deliberately get the cat killed?
-Do they stop all activity and mourn for more than a few days?
-Do they leave the Clan after this event?
-Were more than one of their family members/friends/love interests killed in the same event or very closely together?
---And it wasn't a war or unstoppable sickness?
---Did your character barely survive?
-----And received no scars or lasting physical trauma for it?

Are they half-Clan? If so:
-Part of another Clan?
-Part rogue?
-Part loner?
-Part kittypet?
---Is the kittypet blood to excuse colors that do not show up in the wild?

If they’re a medicine cat:
-Are they immensely skilled?
---So much so that they learned everything they needed to in a few months?
-Do they love kits?
---Want some of their own?
-----Eventually have some of their own?
-------And aren't punished for it?
-Are they beautiful?
-Are they intelligent?
-Do other cats find them attractive enough to flirt with?
-Do they flirt with other cats regularly?
---And receive no punishment for it?

Detractors:
-Are they ugly?
---Really ugly (I don't mean Yellowfang-ugly or Brightheart-ugly, I mean horrendously hideous)?
-Do they have a disability, with nothing to compensate for it?
-Are they physically weak, with nothing to compensate for it?
-Are they dumber than most of their Clanmates?
-Do they have a bad temper that gets them in plenty of trouble?
-Are they prejudiced?
---Enough that they scorn kittens who aren't full-blooded Clan members, even though it isn't their fault?
-Have they ever been shallow, cruel, or spiteful for an excessively petty reason?
-If they're a leader, are they regularly challenged by their Clanmates?
---If they were made a leader young, are they incompetent?
-----Do they rely on the medicine cat and deputy to help them lead the Clan better?
-----Did they actually step down from their position because they were so bad at it?
-Do other characters resent yours for reasons other than jealousy and shallow judgement?
---Do they deserve this resentment?

The list is nowhere near done, but feel free to toss some questions and ideas my way!
