my neighbor first introduced me to ouran highschool host club and
i couldn't help but love the quirkiness and hilarity of the show.

i've been really inconsistent (i'd watch it for like a few months, then a couple years w/o watching it),
but i've been probably watching it for ~2 years.

attack on titan and tokyo ghoul.

oof, i guess the "darker" themed anime. stuff like tokyo ghoul, vampire knight, black butler, aot, death note, etc.
i enjoy a little creepiness tbh. also, i'd love some recommendations!! i only know of the mainstream anime rip

my friends! they started playing naruto on the playground instead of warrior cats so i got intrigued lol

mm, honestly probably about 12 years now. i used to watch it religiously but i cant focus like i used to

i like durarara, baccano, another, noragami, haikyuu, black butler, sailor moon, and naruto! but i really really love bleach and tokyo mew mew

yes! i fell out of it around my last years of highschool but im currently reading beastars and nyankees as the novels come out.

yep! i've cosplayed oikawa from haikyuu, shintaro from kagerou project, armin from attack on titan, and ittoki otoya from uta no prince-sama. every time i did i had a lot of fun! i hope to do it again soon to be honest.

hmm.. fruits basket, ouran highschool host club, clannad, angel beats, naruto, one piece, my hero academia, sailor moon, bleach

magical girl! but horror and thrillers are great too!

both! it depends on the anime and depends on how the dub sounds. but i typically watched subbed

being in the fandoms i was when i was younger, everyone who liked mcr/fob/p!atd/dan and phil seemed to also watch anime, and wanting to be more like them i decided to start watching it too..

i watched pokemon and sailor moon when i was a kid, but that doesn't really count, so i'd say around 6 years

FRUITS BASKET, both old and the new one, jojo, tokyo ghoul, 91 days, death note...

man i have a whole shelf full. it's hella expensive though so i tend to only buy the manga if i really like the anime for it

fruits basket. baseless, i just want people to watch fruits basket. but an actual easy anime to start out with would probably be death note or tokyo ghoul

> What got you into watching anime?
In the beginning, before I started watching anime.... I hated it, the funny fact is that I'd been watching all the original pokemon movies on VHS and somehow managed to watch the indigo league (I never considered pokemon an anime and to this day I pretty much still don't) for years, it was my favourite show ironically. What actually got me into it was curiosity, I was on a plane one day and I saw the person sitting in front of me watching anime... when I got home I decided to watch my "first" anime episode which happened to be The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. (which was the anime the person was watching on the plane).

my friend used to watch hetalia back in 2015 and talked about it with me even though i had absolutely no idea what she was talking about. i decided to maybe give anime a try and so we watched attack on titan together.

mostly sub but ive watched black butler, ouran, and dragon pilot in dub. dragon pilot dub is probably the best dub ive ever heard.

sadly no, i don't even read books :p i hear that some good manga are goodnight pun-pun, tomie, vagabond, and berserk has some beautiful imagery that the anime couldn't capture as successfully.

hmm, in 5th grade i dressed up in a love live schoolgirl outfit for halloween. those who still remember that day tease me for it. i want to cosplay but it's a lot of money and time i don't have

i dunno, all i can say is that i really don't like harem anime and anime shows that exist solely for fan service.

> Do you watch dubbed or subbed?
subbed, unless it sounds good dubbed which most of the time it doesn't. or if the voices sound annoying in japanese. i watched hostclub dubbed, and i switched constantly with rurouni kenshin idk why.

> What are some good recommendations for those just starting out?
best to start with the popular studio ghibli movies if you're afraid of how extreme anime can be. if you want to go all in, i suggest gurren lagann for action, saiki k for comedy, my little monster for romance, k-on for slice of life, and madoka magica if you want to cry.
steer away from popular anime shows with big fanbases unless you want to submerge yourself into the fandom then look back at yourself after 10 years and cringe. (ex, HETALIA AVOId HeTALIA)

About 13 years? Longer if you count Ghibli movies but I personally don't.

Ginga series is very near and dear to me, especially GNG. I wouldn't call it good but it's definitely...something. I also love Soul Eater a lot.

Sometimes. It's hard for me to sit down and focus on it.

Lord no.

Shounen, apparently.

Depends? I normally prefer subbed, but there are some dubs that don't offend me. FMA and Death Note are some dubs I've watched and enjoyed.

> What are some good recommendations for those just starting out?
Honestly I think Death Note is a good one. It's not too over the top and just kinda plays out like a film noir with a supernatural spin. It's also animated really nicely and doesn't have really garish character designs or anything. The characters just look like people. It's pretty easily digestible for someone who's not familiar w/ anime.

Or if you wanna just dive right in, Madoka is a classic. It's bite-sized at only 12 episodes, is well-written, and hits on a lot of tropes that you'll find in other series.

What got you into watching anime?: My friends were obsessed with it and finally I broke down and watched haikyuu!! Pretty soon I got wrapped up in the Tumblr culture of it and now I watch all kinds of anime.

> What are some good recommendations for those just starting out? Well haikyuu!! worked for me but Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood is also just. The best anime of all time. So that's another one.
