Though, that gets me thinking... Have there been any in-game cases that focus on arson? Not like the burning bridge incident or anything, like full-on "The victim died in this fire" stuff. Yeah, I know there's that one thing that happened in, uh... 2006? Yeah, sounds right... but you weren't the one investigating that.

I don't really remember or know if there was an arson case. However, in the first Investigations, the last case had a fire.

I was thinking about the first case in DD, but that was an explosion not arson.

AAI was the last game I finished... How do I forget these things? Then again, that still means there hasn't been a case involving arson in the main series. Considering how different the gameplay etc. is between AAI and the main series, it'd be interesting to see that.

6-5 has a ton of fires, but nope, no arson cases that I can remember. Dhurke was accused of killing the queen via fire, but that doesn't really count, I don't think. Arson to be a case, pronto. We've got murder, robbery, regicide, manslaughter, kidnapping, and various others, but no arson? IIRC, not even GK2 has an arson case. An "ice melting" case, yes, but no fire. There was a big fire thing at the end of case 3(?) of DGS but that still doesn't count. Maybe DGS2 will have something featuring arson.

Yes, I agree.
I also liked that fact that in T&T Case 2, I think, the case features double jeopardy. I think there are some other cases that have something "realistic" of the sort, but I don't remember which ones.

The atorcious AAI case 5 thing happened with the thing with the culprit, if that counts. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, haha. There was also case three in GK2 where Edgeworth had to work around the statute of limitations to catch the culprit.

The gameplay should be changed around a little too in future games. I remember someone on the Ace Attorney reddit saying that there should be a witness who lies so much, you need to present evidence that corroborates their statement instead of contradicts it and I really like that idea.

True, but then I am not sure how the game would progress if that sort of idea would come into play.
However, it is a good idea.

I think it would work better in the Investigations games a la Danganronpa 2, where people are throwing around ideas and you present a piece of evidence that confirms their theory.

As for the main games, maybe someone can't tell the court the truth for one reason or another and is being blackmailed. They ask whatever attorney's in charge to point out where they're right and they'll have to come up with another testimony or something to cover it up. I don't know, but maybe something like that would work.

Was there a case where it involved blackmail? I know the second case in Trials & Tribulations probably involves blackmail, but were there other ones?
