CONS:
1: The whole game, as I predicted, feels like a fan game. (at least in the gameplay) Which to me is not a good thing...
2: The new designs are nothing special to me...
3: I don't feel like this game revolutionizes anything from the previous games but the audio thing he did.
4: The jumpscares just feel very dull at this point... I think if Scott altered each of the animotronic's kill screams drastically or designs then that might have redeemed it.
5: I really don't like the fact that there's DLC, that's pretty much saying that there's yet another game to buy, I'd be ok with it if it was for the first game, but any attempts for DLC for the others games just feels like a cash grab.
6: I still don't like the fact that it's in a house, yeah I sort of get it now that i know the story behind it, but it still feels weird and uncomfortable.
So in sort, I don't really know what to say about it, thoughts?
I strongly disagree with you on the cons.
1: How does it feel like a fan game?
2: True, they aren't "anything special", but I LOVE the new designs. I think taking the withereds from FNaF2 and giving them sharper and deadlier teeth is frightening. And Plushtrap, he's a mix between cute and creepy. Like, I want to snuggle him like I do my stuffed animals, but he might bite me, and those wide eyes, goodness.
3: There's only so much Scott can do to "revolutionize" FNaF without making a different game entirely. Especially when the only revolutionary factor in FNaF1 was the animatronics as the monsters and the use of cameras. And the backstory, of course, but there are many different games with stories that are just as intriguing, especially when it comes to indie titles.
4: Mixing the screams from all the previous games wasn't drastic enough for you? What do you want, them to roar at you like a freaking lion? And also, didn't you notice that the animatronics lift the poor kid up and scream at him? That's pretty drastic and scary to me. It was actually the only game (after the first one, of course) where I jumped from one of the jumpscares just by watching an LP.
5: I personally LOVE the idea of a DLC. Especially if Scott is patient and releases it one August 8th. It keeps the games alive. I don't think anybody wants FNaF to fade into obscurity any time soon. Which it will if it doesn't have new games or theories to go on.
6: Well, that's your opinion. I think it's quite frightening that it's in a house.
Personally, my opinion on FNaF4.
The gameplay is GREAT. Such an improvement from FNaF3. The graphics are pretty great too, and I like that the minigames have more of a story based approach, what with the text boxes and such. The running mechanic is another awesome and different thing from the first three games. The story, however, I have the mixed feelings about. There's still so much that doesn't make sense, and I've made countless of theories and watched countless of LPs. But I'm still confused.
So in short, everything about the game, except for the story, makes it much better than the previous games. But the story seems to be the worst one from the previous three.
