Yes. I wish I didn't think that but at this point........ I really wish he would've stopped after the third game. You know? The children where put to rest and I thought that was the PERFECT ending to the series.
i agree after i watched the trailer i was confused... i mean i could enjoy playing it , but i feel like it will do nothing plot-wise that would help us learn anything about any of the things we saw in the last games, i think its merely fan service, but i could be wrong ... the games usually hide things , but its unlikely that its nothing more than fan service.
i hope it has something to do with the bite of 87 then maybe we would get something out of it.
So, I'm going to assume that I'm the only one who felt hyped after watching the trailer. Seriously, I was even able to forget the death of my bird for like five minutes after watching it, it hyped me up that much.
While yes, I am willing to agree with those who say "he is just milking the series" "oh, this is just fan service now", I also have to disagree. For two reasons:
One, yes, FNaF3 had a nice ending and (possible) closer for the dead children. But we need to take into account the thousands of fans that screamed for more answers, and the fact that the gameplay was lacking. The sense of terror was gone after the first fake jumpscare. You just didn't want to get scared by the phantoms because they hindered your chances of winning, that's it. Yes, this opinion is actually coming from personal experience, for not only did I watch many YouTubers play it, but I also watched my brother play it. We even got bored from it after playing for a few hours. Whereas when I played the first game, there was enough of a mixture between challenge and fun that I didn't want to stop playing. The third game didn't really feel like fun, I only watched the LPs because I wanted to get the story first-hand. You don't know how much I am
praying that FNaF4 acts like FNaF1, or heck, even FNaF2. Especially since it feels much less rushed (I do believe he is spending more time on it, but I could be wrong).
Two, FNaF4 is most likely going to be a prequel, just by looking at the animatronic designs (FNaF2 appearances) and the items around the house (especially the bedroom). Those toys that can be seen on the floor don't look like the toys someone from the future or the modern day would have, unless they had a love for old toys. So what I am trying to say is, it won't be a crime against the closure the children got at the ending of FNaF3, if it really is a prequel. Now, some would argue that the line "what have you brought home?" references the end of FNaF3 (something I thought at first), however, after watching a theory video, somebody believed that maybe it was an item, like the hat, that someone bought from the auction. However, what if the item is Plushtrap (what I believe it to be, thanks to the "terrible things come in small packages" line in the teaser), and instead of being an scrap from the auction, an actual plush bought from the restaurant? Honestly, it makes sense to me. Here's the story I thought up:
A parent buys their child (Purple Guy?) a plush from this animatronic pizzeria place that he loves. However, unknown to the child and the parents, this toy is haunted (maybe by the Puppet's ghost?) and not only does it want the child dead, but it also brings about these "nightmares" from the place, which start to attack the child as well.
Now, this would go against the whole "but the animatronics don't hurt children", unless you look at it this way. The parent is the murderer of the first child (remember, this guy is pink) but Plushtrap and his Nightmares are unable to hurt him, so they go for his child. Which, in turn, traumatizes the child into becoming a murderer like his father (perhaps his father was the bite victim, though I think this is unlikely). Plushtrap (The Puppet) feels guilty so when the other children are murdered, he gives them life to kill the murderer and undo what he did. Yada yada yada, more backstory, FNaF3 ending, the entire haunting tale is complete.
That is my reasoning and theory for why I think FNaF4 needs to be made, and why I am excited for it. You can agree or disagree with me or debunk my theory, I don't mind. I kinda just thought it up on the spot, so there may be holes. Of course, every theory has holes. So what am I saying, LOL.
As for what Scott should do after FNaF, well, I think he should continue to make games. Either a sequel to A Desolate Hope (which looks amazing, and I am actually thinking of buying it) or another horror game. He's good at making intriguing stories and terrifying horror games, so he should continue it. I'd play them, at least, if he did make them.
Oh yeah, another thing to mention is that the movie is probably still in the works as well. So that might clear some things up too. (But if Scott doesn't play/voice the Phone Guy in that movie, I am going to be so upset. LOL Yes, I like Phone Guy's voice, I'm not afraid to admit it, I wouldn't mind if that guy read me a bedtime story)
