probably any jerry spinelli book?? i dunno his style just isn't quite the one for me. his books are typically dry and i just don't have any excitement w them. i had to read so many of his books in the 7th grade tho & it was awful ;; i honestly don't think he's a bad author, i just don't like his plots.

As a kid I had to read Slaughterhouse 5 because it was recommended from a book club that I was in. After I finished the book, my mom let me drop out of the club. For the rest of my time I got to spend summer break doing the things that I actually wanted to do.

I did NOT like Six of Crows. I know lots of people love it, but i just don't get the hype. It was so insufferably boring to me.

I think 1984 is a godawful book. I think the writing in animal farm was at least a little better
the Harry Potter series wasn't that great, especially when reading it as a child after other, better fantasy children's series.

Okay, preach!!! Finally! Harry Potter is good but I don't think it lives up to the Hype! Things like Percy Jackson, ED Baker Stories, Wildwood, Lunar Chronicles, Hoel's Moving Castle, Dragon in The Sock Drawer, are all way better fantasy books I read as a kid. HP was good but when they got thick I didn't care to read the last two.

Percy Jackson was the first thing I thought of as an alternative! It's much more engrossing imo.

hard quote on this. also, I hope none of you have ever had to or ever will have to waste your time on Atlas Shrugged. garbage book with an even more awful message repeated like 80 times across its 1200 or so pages. john galt's 50 page monologue was the most insufferable thing I have ever endured in my lifetime thus far

Worst book I ever read was probably Stargirl, maybe Great Gatsby, or some werewolf book (not paranormal romance, it's horror) that I forgot the name of (was decent until a really stupid ending.)
Please talk to me I don't bite.

We had to read it for AP English and it hurt my soul.
