and here comes lame old me with a lame old idea for a cosplay for Chicago ComicCon :D and Halloween too :D

so I really really want to cosplay as the ghost of Joel Zimmerman (deadmau5) from this video. :D

the ghost I'm talking about is the one that is followed (and the one that has the Space Invader tattoo.) :D

I think I have most of it, but can someone tell me how I'd do it? :D

I'd do Skrillex if I could, but Dad said it'd be too expensive. Even if we did it without a wig, I'm not allowed to dye my hair and shave it. alSO HIS EAR HOOPS AND STUDS UUGGGHHH. -dies of cuteness overload-

Lol, your signature is adorable. I really love deadmau5, and not just because my favorite singer (Gerard Way) was featured in one of thier songs. c:
And, the ghost would be extremely easy to cosplay, and really inexpensive. Like, super easy.

Is your concern only money? Because I may be able to help you find a cheaper costume alternative for Skrillex. What's your budget?

will wait until the point when you let go

Probably a small amount... Let me ask my dad :D About 15 dollars, I have to find the most cost-effective way ;~;

And what are alternates to the Skrillex cosplay? :D

Update: I was able to find my Starfire wig here on Epiccosplay wigs for under $50 which is less than I expected for the length of the wig :D
I usually order from Arda-wigs.com because of their quality and comfort but I was told epiccosplay was alright so yeah. Oh and the shipping cost wasn't bad. It should be here soon because the company is located near me and I will give a product review :3

Honestly, I have never been able to do a cosplay under $15 without having most of the materials in scraps already.

Thats awesome, Jaded! I'm glad you figured it out.

Also, fifteen dollars is hard to work with, but I'll do my best to see what I can find. c:

Besides the wig, you really don't have to make much purchases. All you would have to buy is a long black wig and a bald cap. Then, you can cut and shave the wig to look like his hair. You can make fake piercings pretty easily, there are a lot of tutorials on Youtube. With the clothes, he doesn't have specific outfits so try and find something you think will work at a thrift store or in your own closet. Maybe you can make black Deadmau5 ears with cardboards and black felt. c:

I've made fake piercings with studs on old clothes and telephone wire before, really any metal pieces can be used just be careful that they don't get stuck in you.

Hi just wanted to say hi….well hi .

um anyways I recently started getting into cosplay this year and I have completed a few beginner things .I decided that I was going to cosplay as the anime character Izuna Hatsuse from no game no life and I was wondering if anyone has a few tips for me .I will be making the tail from yarn and I will be coloring some nekomimi ears .

hey deadmau5 while(1<2) I'm guessing that it is the actual ghost costume he wears that you want to do a costume from ,the only thing that concerns me is that if you go to a con that they may have a rule against covering your face like that (saw some cosplayers in dead pool cosplays being asked to change or leave at a small con where I live ). I think you could print out what you want to copy onto a piece of paper and if you have any extra clothes that are green that you have worn out beyond repair or too small you can cut out two pieces from that and sew them together (one piece is fine if your okay with it fraying a lot ….)then sew it onto the costume ,I think that might work or get some iron-on fabric or patch and color green with a marker if need be and again print out the logo and cut it out.Hope this helps .
