no plot as of yet, I have a vauge concept of setting it near mirkwood, and having a human village or something nearby,

Okay I have a vague idea, everything has been quiet for a while, no evil is stirring well evil is stirring but mainly around mordor and the world seems to be at peace for now. The most that seems to be going on is trade between the main peoples of middle earth.
But some of the races of middle earth aren't doing so well, nymphs, naiads and dryads and other woodland sprites are disappearing and not even the elves know why, and without them the forest seems to becoming more and more sick and more dangerous to live in.

As for what I thought of the movie, I'd give it a 3\10.

The CGI effects were very good, and Martin Freeman was excellent.


However, It was far too long. They really should have made it only one movie. The part with Beorn I was quite disappointed with, they didn't give him the credit he deserved. The spider part was bad, and the Fili/Tauriel\Legolas love triangle is completely pointless.
