IndentbecauseOCDYes, that helps a lot, thank you c: I think I'll keep Rain-, as I have a terrible imagination and I can't think xD I think I'll go with Raintail, or Raincreek... Nah. I'm getting this off of here, because I'm not sure about Raintail...
IndentbecauseOCDRainripple..? Nah... Rainstream? Too obvi... Rainwillow? That came up as 'swift or lithe'. Still not sure. Hmph. You don't even know how long this is taking xD "I changed -creek to a graceful cat to fit that it is a variant of -stream or -brook." Raincreek - Don't think so. Rainstream - No. Rainbrook..? Eh, not sure...
IndentbecauseOCDOkay. This went well... xD I like Rainwillow, Raintail... ye, that's it. What do you think suits her best? <3

I definitely think Raintail works better.
The trouble with non-traditional suffixes, like -willow, is that they're extremely open to interpretation; to you, -willow might mean swift or lithe, but to someone else it could mean anything from a depressed cat to an easily swayed cat. To be honest, I'm not sure myself what -willow could represent.

Okay, these are a few cats that are almost always on my mind. Lets see if their names actually match, lol.

Ashfang- Ashfang is a very pale grey tabby she-cat with darker tabby strikes around her hazel eyes and across her legs and tail. She would describe herself as a good warrior; others would say that she was one of the best. She never seems to realize what kind of impression she has on the others around her and brushes it off when they mention it. Most anyone knows of her is her fighting skills, which would make her a lethal sparring partner if she wasn't so honorable.

Tigerstep- She is a light golden-brown tabby she-cat with blazing amber eyes and a white muzzle. As a loner-turned-medicine cat, she has seen quite a lot in her short life thus far. She was forced to make several snap decisions in a short period of time that changed her completely. Whether it was for the better, she has yet to decide.

Bluewhisker- Blue is a very happy go lucky guy. He is almost a bit comical with his large ears and short legs, his paws almost seeming too big for him. However, with his lower center of gravity, this blue-grey tabby warrior is capable of taking down prey much larger than him. His area of expertise is hunting, as he is smaller than most other cats, but he seems to be pretty okay with that; after all, he can catch as much prey by himself as an entire patrol could.

Littlepaw(thorn)- This small white tom knows what it's like to fade into the background, to be unnoticed. The first time anyone truly started noticing him was when his fellow apprentice was attacked by an owl. Littlepaw launched himself at the bird and managed to land on it's back just before it could take off with poor Sunpaw dangling from it's talons. Because both apprentices were so small, neither could hold the bird against the ground. Littlepaw attacked the owl as much as he was able to, clawing at anything within reach and distracting the bird long enough for warrior to arrive and aid in the battle, eventually killing the creature. Ever since then, Littlepaw has no longer gone unnoticed; far from it. Sunpaw sure seems to have taken a liking to him!

    ° Applewhisker
    ° Male
° This warrior knows how to scent even the smallest of snakes. His strong senses make him a good help to the medicine cat. Mostly insisting that he'd rather sleep than eat, he is very skinny. When he wakes up and theres prey for him, he gives it to the elders. Only once a moon, or twice, will he ever eat. In patrols, he can sense trespassers.

Thanks for writing in, Blueice. Happy to have you here.
Ashfang's prefix is great, but her suffix should probably be -claw, not -fang; if she's so famous for her fighting skills, her suffix should acknowledge that.

I don't think this works. I'm really not keen on using -step with the lion/tiger/leopard- prefixes, since the cats have never seen one, and therefore don't know how they walk and act. If you'd like to give me more information, I can help you find a fitting suffix.
Also, tiger- denotes a dark brown or dark ginger tabby. Check the Brown section of the prefix list, linked on the front page, for a more fitting prefix.

His name is perfect. He sounds adorable, too.

Littlepaw's prefix is great, as long as he is runty.
I'm not sure what to make of the -thorn suffix; in my mind, that would indicate a prickly personality, but that's not a positive thing, and it doesn't seem to fit Littlepaw. Could you tell me more about him?
I hope that helped a bit.

Apple- denotes a golden or ginger cat, so I'm going to point you to the Prefix list link on the front page as well. See if you can find anything you like in the Brown section.
I think -nose works better than -whisker as a suffix; you might read the descriptions for those too. Also, I don't think a cat can go a whole month and only eat twice; from some quick research, pet cats are supposed to be fed twice a day, and they're doing a lot less than warrior cats. You might want to rethink that, as eating so infrequently would lead to a lot of problems for your cat.

Yes, I think I'll keep Raintail. Hearing it now sounds better than then. Thank you again for your help, and I'll probably be visiting here again! cx

So, are you going to do a name game? You had a poll up earlier, but you never said anything else about it. (Here's a cat name to judge so I don't feel annoying.)
Image
He's a very relaxed cat, and I want a unique name. I'm going for -cloud with the prefix, based on his personality and lack of hunting/fighting skills. What do you think?

You mean -cloud as the suffix?
I don't like suggesting prefixes; it's better for you to go look at the lists yourself and see what you like.

On the name game: Yes, I do intend to do that, but I'm not sure which forum it belongs in, games or free adopts. Does anyone know where a somewhat complex game for pets would belong?
