ive given up having opinions. generally speaking, onions are far less trouble, even if australia's prime minister has been known to eat them raw.

??? i thought squirrelflight was meant to be barren, why get rid of that now? oh wait. hunters. right. carry on then.

also agreed, fernxdust was... weird on a lot of levels. didnt he mentor her brother, or am i getting that mixed up? im pretty sure he was mentoring her denmate, and knowing how warriors work, chances they are related anyway. cinder fancying fireheart never bothered me that much because nothing ever came of it, until her reincarnation and lionblaze got together. i mean, ol' blazey is just firestar 2.0: more indestructible, impossibly stupider.

now that we're vaguely discussing cinder, i cant help but be furious at the wasted potential. she totally deserved a second chance, and i dont mean in the cheap 'lets bring this one back with ~*spirit magic*~ yay!' way that the hunters did it. had she been in a better writer's hands, she could have been so much greater. i seem to recall her interactions with yellowfang being relatively well-done? its so obvious that more time was spent on yellowfang's dialogue than in the rest of the books put together.

TBH, if I were writing Warriors, reincarnarion never would have happened. God, I always disliked that reincarnation thing

Then again, if I was writing Warriors, a lot of things would be changing, lol

Edit;; Arcaii, you're so talented. This thread is amazing, made me laugh, I'm passing threw so many flaws and I didn't even know! You're making me sord of want to get into writting a bit more often, I remember when I was little I'd right fables and draw some pictures to go with it.^^ Aww, good ol' times.

It's hard to see since all I usually draw is her top half, and that's anthropomorphized like crazy, but Sootstorm in general is supposed to be lanky and angular. I have a ref lying around somewhere, but the tail being impossibly long with 90-degree kinks is intentional (it's supposed to be a little bit longer than her body). I'll have to see if the ref is still up to date...that is, if I can find it.

And holy jeez, thank you! Education and helpful tips are all part of the game here - if you wanna get back into writing, please do! I'm always hyped to see people's writing, especially if inspired by this silly thread.

Extremely sad.. (For Me, Don't know about you)

I REMEMBER READING THAT AND BEING VERY UPSET. INTO THE RECOMMENDATIONS IT GOES.

Wolvine wrote:tbh apprentices having lowkey crushes on warriors isnt so bad in my personal onion, as long as they dont get together. i mean, its fairly common for students to fancy their teachers a little. if they actually become romantically involved tho, that's a whole different animal.

medicine cats having mates is so boring tbh, what's even the point. everything is boring. whatever.

That is true. Fleeting crushes on older warriors is just fine (and I wouldn't even complain if a cat confessed to it once they were older), but actually going into a relationship (especially almost immediately after they reach warriorhood) is...eugh.

The chastity of medicine cat life is such an interesting thing, it's boggling that no one thinks to explore it. I mean, these are animals, and animals are not known to willingly avoid taking a mate. Any animal, much less a cat, that straight up refuses to take even the slightest notice of romance is going to seem really strange to outsiders, and maybe even their Clanmates. What kind of animal can so easily ignore the prospect of having kits (if they're female) or the scent that carries whenever someone's in heat?

Imagine if one of the books had been dedicated to discussing this idea, and how it affects those under the bind of healerhood. That would've been tight.

Hear, hear! The afterlife aspect in general has always been one of the weakest points of the series especially with a copout like reincarnation.

Lol, I sometimes hear people say that characters die a lot in warriors. That may be correct, but honestly, this may just be me, but I feel that death in Warriors is kind of cheap, considering how much emphasis Starclan and the cats in it get?

(also, anyone who thinks that warriors is bad for killing off characters needs to watch Attack on Titan, lol)

I have seen AoT...Not all of it but still. I stopped on the first episode that introduces Levi, I think.

BACK TO WARRIORS AGAIN
Warriors characters must die more--and instead, they shouldn't go to StarClan.

Death is incredibly cheap in the story. If they hadn't included any of the StarClan stuff, it would be way more effective, because then we have no guarantee of ever seeing that character again.

Though I do like the whole Mapleshade wanting revenge thing. If they're gonna have them go somewhere when they die, I feel like they should become corrupted and evil :3

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Death in warriors is super cheap, considering that they just go to Starclan. In my opinion, shows that have a lot of character deaths ( like AoT) are only really effective when they don't put a bunch of emphasis in afterlife, which Warriors does

OH, speaking of Mapleshade, can I mention how much I dislike Erin saying that they can't make a super edition about her because it's apparently too scary? I mean, if it's so scary that little kids can't see it, then why did you bother to MAKE it that scary in the first place?? That'd be like if all the violence in t- oh wait they did that.

Anyway, I just find that excuse really annoying

They're making a super edition for her, actually. Mapleshade's Vengeance.
