If anyone here is not sensitive to somewhat inappropriate material, look up the alternative version of the Council of Elrond on youtube. It's hilarious.

"No! I am not Prince Hamlet, nor was meant to be;
Am an attendant lord, one that will do
To swell a progress, start a scene or two,
Advise the prince; no doubt, an easy tool,
Deferential, glad to be of use,
Politic, cautious, and meticulous;
Full of high sentence, but a bit obtuse;
At times, indeed, almost ridiculous—
Almost, at times, the Fool."

The one with Jack Black as an ELf?
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A flame from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king
In the Garden of Paradise,
beneath the Tree of Knowledge,
bloomed a rose bush.
Here, in the first rose,
a bird was born.
His flight was like the flashing of light,
his plumage was beauteous,
and his song ravishing.

I love the books, I'm reading them right now.
And does anyone else think that Jeremy Irons would make a great Aragorn in a movie of it? His character in Eragon, Brom, was VERY simular to Aragorn!

Hello, My name is Scar, you may remember me as Mufasa's evil brother, but I have changed my ways. I am no longer an evil lion. I am now a proud member of Simba's Pride. More information about my redemption is in my 'Interests' part of my profile.

Scarecrow. wrote:Yay! I'm happy I found this place !
It all started by reading The Hobbit in class. I really, really loved it!
So I decided to watch the movies, and I bought the complete collection in the extended version.
It took me one day to watch them all D:
I couldn't stop, they were so good ! And I can't wait for the The Hobbit movie to come out !
:3
What! You read the Hobbit in school! If I had your luck...
And did you hear, Orlando Bloom in coming back as Legolas in the Hobbit (movie)! Not that I'm complaining, Legolas is awesome (obviously) but it just... Isn't how the books go, and that irks me big time. Still..
Gone with the Wind wrote:Do you know that elf who was Galadirel's second in command? He was pretty hot. Almost as hot as Legolas! But in the movie, he died in the battle of Helms Deep, which made me sad..
I think that was Haldir, but I am unsure of myself.

Yeah it was Haldir. I'm kinda upset about Orlando coming back, but it makes sense because Thranduil is his father and he's in The Hobbit. At least that makes sense, and even though he's just gonna be reading There and Back Again, I'm not to sure I agree with Elijah Wood coming back either (though I will never tire of Frodo, he's mine <3)
