I'm breeding a team from SS and Diamond for my new HG game, but the Dratinis and Eevees I bred have IVs in the single digits. *headdesk* And I don't mean one or two; at least half of each poke's IVs are below 10.

Annoooyyiiinnnggg.
And as for the legendary thing: I didn't know that at all! I always save before I engage a legendary, so that if I don't catch it, I can just restart and try again. x3

Most of their Pokemon are around level sixty or higher, so I would recommend at least level eighties. Your best bet would be all level one-hundreds, though. Also bring full revives and full restores- you'll need them, regardless of what levels your pokemon are.
My first time through, I had levels 48 & 49 by the end. xD Lots of revives and Hyper Potions, though.
And an ice-type move of decent power will be a lifesaver for the Champ.

The next time was levels 63-66...

And then I began sweeping through them with no revives, in training for the final boss. I beat the final boss at levels 78-80.
And my team:
Noro, the male Tentacruel, who kills dragons in one hit with Blizzard (and that is the *ONLY* reason Lance is as easy to beat as he is for me)
Miko, the male Typhlosion, who is my starter and is awesome. <3
Beji, the male Pidgeot, my personal transport system and pretty decent fighter.
Gira, the female Ampharos, who takes down Psychic types with Signal Beam. <3
Ezia, the female Golem, destroyer of Poison and Rock types, and anything that digs (EARTHQUAKE~)
Ash, the male Leafeon, imported from Diamond because I needed a decent grass-type. xD His name doesn't fit the pattern, but oh well. I love Eevee-lutions.
