    So much yes.
And so much agreement with what you said about StarClan - it always bothered me - though I do think that if the 'nine lives' thing had been handled better (and, hey, maybe if Hunters anyone wrote a story about how a random apprentice or loner was granted them instead it'd be pretty cool - but that's just the Writer/Fanfiction Artist in my speaking) it might've actually worked and given the Reader some proper thoughtful insight or left the Reader truly wondering what had just happened.

It always bothered me that Greypaw seemed to repeat everything and anything - like he was just there to remind and keep the Reader on track. But then my mind whoa what a weird place put forth the idea that it was actually because he had some form of anxiety. He acts tough and stuff (I can't remember his personality?) but then needs to remind himself why he's doing something by saying it out loud to escape his rattling mind.
I talked to a friend about it and they agreed with me after a while - the Hunters might have not realised it, but they might have made a big, tough character with a form of anxiety.
But then again, that's just a theory a game theory!
I like the strike tool way too much

Had to run off and have dinner - happy holidays to everyone here ^^

Oopsie, spoilers again! Oh well, it was completely obvious that Brokenstar was a villain anyway.

I just love how everyone IMMEDIATELY suspects Yellowfang. No thought to it whatsoever. I mean come on, shouldn't the Thunderclan cats be able to figure out that Brokenstar is a lying liar who lies?

Oh wait, this is Warriors. If the plot demands it, the cats will ALLWAYS become stupid. Why? Because Erin Hunter can't write. Moving on.

To be fair, the idea of giving the leaders nine lives IS a pretty interesting idea. But I really wish that Erin Hunter used the starclan thing like you said. Speaking of that, I also wish that Erin Hunter would have given the cats a sort of Cat Language like the rabbits in Watership Down had. That would be interesting. I also wish that she would have written them more like realistic cats like how the guy who wrote Watership Down wrote them more like ra-

Oh wait, he could write. Erin Hunter can't. Moving on.

Yeah the fact that they completely dropped the whole "Apprentices go to Moonstone" thing after the original series annoyed me even back when I was 11

I honestly don't understand why in the world everyone would just jump on the bandwagon.
Yet again, if you do notice in most of the "clan meeting" type scenes, most of the cats tend to gang up together with the same opinion the moment one cat has spoken. That really gets on my nerves.
As does the way they use their dialogue.
I am super glad you pointed that out.
I can not stand an author that doesn't properly structure their own material.
Surely, it is a joint fault with their editors - but it should never have been there to fix.

and I do hope you had a happy holiday!

Happy holidays to you too, man!

The Hunters just seem to go with whatever's easier at the moment without stopping to consider the effects of what they write. So they write cats jumping to agree with a single opinion without realizing that cats are naturally independent creatures who would likely be more prone to arguing amongst themselves, or that crowds aren't that stupid (I mean, they're stupid, but not this stupid). It's incredibly obvious that they don't want to challenge themselves.

hmm this is interesting to read...

hopping back to smth that was talked about earlier, the treatment of shadowclan has always bugged me, even when i was a tiny little kid reading these.

like, why is this entire clan is consistent of Bad Cats™? how on earth can someone decide that and think it makes any sort of sense. riverclan and windclan and even thunderclan are shown to have bad seeds, but none of them are really credited with reputations from the other clans as The One True Evil Clan, so what's with shadowclan's mysteriously bad rep? it strikes me as odd, on top of being really boring and poorly done

not to mention that the one cat who gets credited as ~~the good cat of shadowclan!!!~~ later on is... the one from thunderclan. reall nice and creative there e_e

❝ℳÅℕℊℒℯ wrote:Yes, I dislike Spottedleaf and Firepaw. Same as Sandstorm. And clearly, somewhere in the books, they have mentiondedthat Graystripe was pretty smart, like he wouldn't notice how Spottedleaf and Firepaw we're 'flirting' with eachother.

I also noticed this, when Graypaw was showing Firepaw around camp, he mentionded how pretty and young Spottedleaf is.. Is it just me or is everybody into (yes, even us humans) the young and pretty ones? But it's different when they actually have a crush on them, and their still young and pretty. WHY CAN'T EVERONE JUST BE EQUAL -.- It even excits in the cat world!? IS ANY REALITY NORMAL?!?!?

SPOILER ALERT
EDIT;; Also, in the very first books, Rusty was a normal, orange cat. Yep, and then, of course, he becomes a half tabby, last I checked, his father nor mother had any tabbky markings, then I get confused when Princess comes along, as a white-and-orange tabby cat.. JUST MAKE UP YOU'RE MIND LADIES! TABBY OR NO?! (guess it's to late, here comes the fangirls and fanboys saying that Firepaw is a flippin' tabby with a white chin, or no, here comes the other side, saying that he was darker ginger tabby stipes, oh, and white tabby stripes? OH, And green eyes, and maybe in another picture yellow eyes, is something going on here, or is Firepaw related to a ferret, and changing fur color during the winter and sumer ;u;) CAREFUL LADIES, WHO EVER HAD BABIES WITH FIRESTAR (ahem *cough cough* Sandstorm.. *cough/laugh*), MUST BE REGRETTING EVERYTHING, BECAUSE YOU JUST HAD 'COLOR-SHIFTING' BABIES! Aaaanndd.. then I should stop here so I don't ruin everything else.

I've always been frustrated by the concept of young people (women especially) being considered the most attractive and datable. I can't help but be skeezed out whenever I see a 50-year-old with a 20-year-old on their arm.

Anyway, the colors aren't really specific enough in the story, and I really wish they were. Then we wouldn't have to deal with a bunch of pale yellow Longtails when he's a silver tabby.

Graystripe is an actually interesting character, but he really goes to waste. Though I suppose I'll have to save that discussion for later.

Alright, those two paragraphs made me laugh. You've earned a stripe today.

I've discussed this somewhere - I would have much preferred if the cats were given a metaphorical nine lives. These nine lives provide memories of more experienced cats in StarClan, so whenever a leader is struck with a situation that they don't know how to handle, they suddenly remember this event happening before, and what got it resolved, even though they weren't around to experience it. Imagine how cool it would be if Firestar was trying to figure out how to stop Tigerstar, only to suddenly have a vision of another tyrant being defeated in a certain manner, generations ago.

Hello to you! I like your username (probably because I've always liked the name/term "junebug").

It's incredibly poorly done, especially considering that the major villain of the first series is a ThunderClan cat and the books start with RiverClan and ThunderClan being enemies. And then some of the best characters come from ShadowClan (YELLOWFANG YELLOWFANG YELLOWFANG), but it's still treated like it's the epitome of evil.

You like Watership Down too? I think it was very well written and I with the Erin Hunters had taken some pointers from him on how to write a good book. I agree that Warriors should have had some kind of cat language and have the cats act more like cats.
